If by saving you mean moving Batman from the almost unbeatable best seller every two weeks to a book that barely make it in the top ten then yeah, he "saved" Batman.

Johns has done a lot of good for DC over the years, but there are certain characters he simply can't write. For example his Justice League, especially Wonder Woman, is shit. Though that said, I wish he still had power instead of that madman Didio

You fell for memes and marketing. His Batman is a padded out nonsensical mess, and his Mister Miracle was overrated dogshit. About the only thing King's done in recent memory that was worth commendation was The Visions and that Elmer Fudd Batman issue

Every fucking issue. The stories are lackluster, the only time I was interested in his story was during Rebirth.

King spent most of his run hyping up a Batman/Catwoman wedding only to subvert expectations and have Catwoman leave him at the alter. He then spent his run setting up a shittier and more stupid version of Knightfall. Not to mention other dumb stuff in between like having Dick Grayson shot in the head and made into Ric and making Bruce into a suicidal kid that tried to slit his wrists. And all made worse by King literally dragging his run so slowly to pad it out.

I just read the first 65 issues in a few days and liked it. the whole weeding stuff is just like Jezebel Jet except she isn't a villain
