-Not much else to recap really
In other news, Let's Make a comic 10 and 11 happened/are happening.
LMAC issue 11, volume 2 finale GG comic progress (Iron Girl intro being drawn)
How the fuck do I draw animal teeth - like a dog with an open muzzle? I want to draw a cute nerd dog.
Random questions but are there alternate version of Yea Forumslette such as different dimensions versions with different powers and such?
Damn thats a cool GG pic.
The most common alternate dimension Yea Forumslette is Evilette (her name is still Yea Forumslette, that's just what she gets called by main-verse characters).
There's a few others too.
Going to be another slow thread at this rate.
I only really draw porn so I can't post much in these ones, but I still like talking and hanging out.
Alright, just imaging different versions of her for some reason, thanks!
Well nothing wrong with that.
There's also Goolette, Mechalette, Mustachelette, and maybe a few others too.
Pics of characters in fancy attire is lacking.
Is there any way to get Paint Tool Sai's stabilizer in another program? I think it's a bit better than lazy nezumi, but I dislike just about everything else about Sai compared to clipstudio.
Clip Studio Paint
It's on sale for the weekend, in fact. The EX version is worth it for long comics and animation, but you can manage with just the Pro version for those things too.
CSP has the same stabilization as sai though, you can also adjust the smoothening in the tool settings window.
>The EX version is worth it for long comics and animation
What exactly does the EX version bring for comics? Though animation is something I've always wanted to try even if it's just shitty two frame animated icons or something.
For comics, the EX version gives you a page manager - think of it like a regular folder. You open the folder, and theres all your single pages to go back and forth on as you edit.
The Pro version has no page manager/folder, but you can still make as many new documents as you want of course. All of the tools and tool features are the same in both. The difference is the time you'll spend digging around for what page you want.
For animation, the Pro version is limited to some small number of frames in a single timeline, I think 24. EX has no such limit.
(OP) (Cross-thread)
It's a fun shot, I would push the perspective even more, make them more noticably distant in depth.
I meant to mock up a suggestion last week but never got around to it, something like this maybe.
Really dig this!
Did the magical re-entry cause a rebirth of lesser gods and spirits, or just monsters?
So I was playing around with some Katya motion sketches, got a sort of Cammy vibe from these what with the braid and the street-fighter-esque look.
I dig the rivets idea on her agreed design, so I thought, what if we put rivets EVERWHERE?
Also, motion to have Olympian give brickhouse future Katya the nickname "Thunder Thighs".
*Particularly* if she has electricity-based abilities.
Yes, the pantheon in the Yea Forumsle story got a new foothold in the mortal world because of it.
Looks cool, just don't overwhelm yourself with them.
>Special Move where she conducts electricity by rubbing her thighs together
>Alternately, just crushing opponent’s between them
If she's using coil science, then I could see it being electric based. Sounds good to me.
Man, why are muzzles so hard? I just want to draw dogs.
So is it an animistic kind of thing? Sort of as if Shinto went global?
If the Golden Guardian era takes place in the future, why is she wearing a hammer and sickle? USSR would've fallen by then, she'd wear the colors of the Russian Federation. Plus by then America and Russia had worked together in Desert Storm, she and GG might not even be enemies anymore.
The Golden Guardian era starts somewhere in the 70s or 80s.
you're trying to draw a human skull and add a muzzle. draw the simple shape of the head first and detail after
I'm working from actual dog references, though I guess the construction could still be the problem. I think it's more perspective issues though. It's literally the actual muzzle itself that I'm having the most problems with, not the head as a whole.
It's like how radiation spreads, so it's mostly contained to Europe.
I meant "Shinto" more as a representation of that sort of "spiritual aesthetic."
Mostly just magical things showing up again, old artifacts becoming magically charged, people being more aware of magic and tempted to use it, the fae coming out of their world again, a lot of things happening all at once.
yeah sounds like a practice makes perfect thing, could you maybe post a WIP here or another board?
So it's just "magic ain't gotta explain shit"?
After a break, I think I'm seeing at least where a couple of the issues are. I'll do one more pass and then ask for advice on /trash/ if I still can't get it.
Oh yeah, full on. There's rules to some parts where anyone cares to make rules for the sake of having a narrative, but it's still magic.

>She wanted lots of flowers and butterflies for the forest
So first of all, several questions-
Is "Thunder Thighs" Katya supposed to be a Bullion villain or a Golden Guardian villain?
Is there a connection between Katya's coils and Donna Dynamo's? (both are Tesla based tech)
What is the definitive timespan for Bullion and G. Guardian? There was quite a bit of confusion between it being late 60's/70's/early 80's/90' with G. Guardian being firmly in current day.
Has anyone considered actually making the Bullion "Attitude" era the modern-day take? What if Golden Girl's adventures in comics and her particular brand of self awareness actually makes her more jaded as she gets older rather than following Dick Grayson's Nightwing phase blindly. It was made pretty clear last week that Bullion doesn't actually have a beef with Silver Queen and that they split on good terms. So why wouldn't she immediately take on Silver Queen's bracers right off? What reason would Audrey have for rejecting her legacy?
Other than this, that's a really cool looking Assailant.
>Is "Thunder Thighs" Katya supposed to be a Bullion villain or a Golden Guardian villain?
Guardian. Katya spends the Bullion era back in Russia undergoing the training and enhancements to become Iron Assailant.
>Is there a connection between Katya's coils and Donna Dynamo's? (both are Tesla based tech)
None so far.
>What is the definitive timespan for Bullion and G. Guardian?
It's not strictly defined, but the Bullion era starts in the 60s, as that's when teen heroes operating solo started becoming popular. When she becomes Golden Guardian is a bit more nebulous, but it's still in the 70s or 80s, as Iron Assailant is still a major Commie villain when she returns.
>So why wouldn't she immediately take on Silver Queen's bracers right off? What reason would Audrey have for rejecting her legacy?
In-universe, because SQ doesn't retire until sometime after Audrey finishes college. In the Yea Forums-verse, I see it as the decision to have SQ retire and pass the torch being made because Bullion's book had been outselling Silver Queen's for a few years.
Golden Guardian era.
No discussion has been made about where the science came from. Having a connection to Donna could work.
Bullion is when Audrey is in college, Golden Guardian is when she's an adult.
Avoid angst at all costs, no one here is able to write that worth a damn, all attempts have been bitter failures.
Audrey gets the bracers when Sarah realizes she's getting old and it's time to retire. She begins training Audrey to use them during the Bullion era.
Well bump.
So what does the timeline look like for Golden Girl? I assume she starts as a sidekick in the 40's, becomes Bullion in the 50's and 60's, then comes into her own as the Golden Guardian in the 70's and 80's, right?
The 50s are the Golden Girl era. I figure she was introduced around 1950, maybe a year or two earlier. In the 60s, she becomes Bullion, then goes on to become Golden Guardian in 70s or 80s.
Oh, okay, and then she retires some time in the 90's I would assume?
What? No. Why would she?
She'd be getting up in her 60's, wouldn't she?
Comic book time DOES exist here, you know.
I know, I'm just playing with the idea of my own project but that doesn't use comic book time so if I wanted to put Golden Girl in the timeline I just want to figure out where she'd fit.
maybe at some point she gets frozen in ice
I think it'd be better if you didn't do that.
Panel from abandoned GG strip
What could I do with my symbiote character Mental?
do his eyes swirl when you look at them
Why abandoned?
Comedic strip that after I started drawing realized it wasn't that funny
>Thunder Thighs
Please no. Can we at least pretend that this isn't a thinly veiled fetish thing?
>What is the definitive timespan for Bullion and G. Guardian? There was quite a bit of confusion between it being late 60's/70's/early 80's/90' with G. Guardian being firmly in current day.
It's intentionally vague, but I've been assuming that by the Guardian era comic book schizo tech has gone far enough that it doesn't make much sense to compare it to real world time periods.
Given the era, I see no problems with the nickname, as long as IA has a strict position about it, like complete and utter loathe of it.
The suggestion is that the talking fox is the one to give her the nickname, which fits with Olympian's lippy personality.
Well, let's see if the thread makes it the full weekend.
>Iron Girl intro comic
It's turning out great!
Funny is in the eye of the beholder, still LOOKS nice though friend
Yeah, it looks good so far.
Was passing through when this miss caught my eye, leaving a doodle and best wishes to getting to the end of the week end, my friends. Always good stuff to see on a pass through.
What's he saying?
>Basically she asks a question, he doesn't think she'll like the answer so he asks if shes armed, she is, he tries to change the subject matter.
The following panels are just Billy peering over the newspaper as they talk. Didn't seem very visually interesting, but i liked the first panel enough i wanted to post that
I wonder how she drinks that.
I'm gonna say "Magically"
I like the idea of the Iron Girl suit being more armored than Golden Girl's... it closes the bridge between Iron Girl and Iron Assailant.
On a side note: love those Iron Girl sketches, she does have a Cammy White vibe going for her, which I think suits her perfectly.
Makes sense.
Great sketches. The extra rivets work really well; simple yet still distinct.
Is it fabric or some metal comicbook fabric?
Probably the latter, something with a metallic appearance but still flexible enough for her fighting style.
Personally I think the shorts rivets might be a little much.
I'm now imagining how long it would take to get into costume if you needed a wrench to get dressed
I guess he could make them swirl, maybe...
Thank you! I didn't got around to work on the cover this week, I'll take your suggestion and rework it base on your perspective.
Sorry
I just always assume swirling when I see spirals
Right, I think the pencils on these are pretty much done.
Kind of impressive how much more playful the style looks on this action-y section.
I'm happy to iron any any rough spots if anyone wants to ink it.
Those turned out great.
Hope to see the same collaboration that happened last time.
Looks great. The action is very well done.
It's fine, but anyways I'm running out of ideas, what abilities could he have?
Hypno beams.
Just trying to make it last the full weekend.
I've thought for a while that her bracers can shoot electric blasts. Giving her an effective ranged attack provides another level of challenge for Audrey to overcome when they fight.
Do a google search for how to draw cartoon animals or manga animals and you'll find some simplified ways of drawing decent looking canine muzzles. You could try a youtube search too.
Would she have big metal bar things stick out from her elbows or back or somewhere to make the electric power arch?
Maybe. I was thinking they could be mounted on her bracers for proper aiming, but I also don't know enough about Tesla coil design to know if that would actually work.
I think she needs to do both electric blasts and electricity charged punches.
How exactly the tesla coils are going to be implemented in her design is still up to discussion. But I think most of us agree that the base for it has to be this Maybe the tesla coils can come as part of a power-up armor she dons when cornered.
>and electricity charged punches
Most definitely. I'm a little ashamed that hadn't occurred to me.
>But I think most of us agree that the base for it has to be this
Absolutely. Figure out how to implement the coils on that design and she's pretty much set.
>Maybe the tesla coils can come as part of a power-up armor she dons when cornered.
This I'm not too sure about. If the glorious motherland's scientists have provided her with the means to prove her superiority over Golden Guardian, she's going to use it.
You know, maybe the coils should be retractable. They can come out of the elbows to charge up her punches, or extend down her hands for ranged attacks.
The suit would need to be insulated against electricity so she isn't killing herself.
Yeah, I was starting to think retractable myself.
So when she pulls back for a punch, the coil pops out of their bracer/holder things on her arms and extend from her elbows, causing electric current to spark all down her arm and fist to make the punch hurt that much more.
Then she can make a chopping movement from her hands to have them extend along down past her pinkie and send arcs through the air.
The thing to keep in mind is the coils don't need to be huge, they can be small.
I like the sound of that.
>The thing to keep in mind is the coils don't need to be huge, they can be small.
I was actually wondering about that. That does make things easier.
FWIW my original sketch had sot of cables that went from the back of her chestpiece to her gauntlets but that looked too much like Bane. required a distracting level of details on the hands, and I couldn't figure out how to connect them so I left it out.
Yeah, that does look too Bane-like. We're still kind of spitballing here, so there's plenty of room for experimentation. Maybe some kind of extension along the pinkie side of her arm where the coil can be held and pop out of either end as describes?
Yeah, I can see how it resembles Bane.
The current idea we're kicking around would be like if she had bars parallel to her forearms.
>I was born in the Iron Curtain
>Molded by it
I think Bane analogs are apt for her.
I want to see her go on some sort of Berserker mode, but with her I bet it would be more "controlled". Like a really smug and smirky Berserker Mode.
Hype.
Not as active as last weekend's thread, but at least things are happening and it lasted the full weekend if it doesn't persist into Monday.
How do I get better at breaking things down into shapes? Like I know I'm using references too heavily/improperly but I don't know how to properly use them.
I prefer without the cables.
Reminds too much of Ma'am Ares.
Could differentiate from Ma'am and Bane by having them be electrical cables rather than drug-based.
I do like her having a bit of Light Armor compared to Audrey's Guardian design.
I read on the wiki that the Bands of Boudica increase both Strength AND Durability of the wearer, so I could see Katya needing some support to match up with Audrey, seeing as before magical enhancement she's already starting off with a much higher base to be amplified.
What if she has a kind of soft breastplate-like thing?
Instead of focusing too much on making every leg and torso into a cylinder or square, you can try to use a broad, soft tool and block in shapes.
The knuckle rivets are a great idea and a solution to one of the problems in
>electrical cables rather than drug-based.
The technology behind that should still look substantially different. (without being too busy/distracting to Iron Ass' overall design.)
>The knuckle rivets are a great idea and a solution to one of the problems in
She's literally Cammy.
Right now I think has the simplest design idea. Something that adds more bulk to her bracers fits the overall "big and imposing" design concept.
>Iron Girl bragging about how she's better than the original, since she wears Weighted Armor
>Aubrey uses an electric current to magnetize her costume sticking her to a wall
>Authorities arrive, but only the costume remains as evidence to her existence
>Meanwhile, Katya has to sneak back naked/wearing an oil drum.
>file name
And?
No, but I also agree that it would be corny, and overdone, and tired.
God, imagine all that MEAT in that pose
Nudity gags aside this does have some merit because it would require AuDrey to make use of her scientific know how and it would call back to that one comic script where she fights a supervillain with a giant magnet.
>Could differentiate from Ma'am and Bane by having them be electrical cables rather than drug-based.
I'm interested in this...
>She's literally Cammy.
>corny, and overdone, and tired
whoa whoa whoa... let's not be TOO hasty here...
Consider the following.
I'm liking this.
Digging this. Definitely got that imposing look down.
That's what I was thinking. Plot first, lewd second.
NO SPRINGS
Jokes aside, I dig it.
Might work with a little simplifying.
The chest hammer/sickle seems like a common thing. We good with going with that?
Yeah, it's a pretty classic Russkie villain design trope.
>I'm liking this.
>Digging this.
Ditto. It has a Soviet retro-cumbersomeness to it.
>all this good shit from the last couple of weeks from these and other threads
Can I say something without jinxing it?
It feels like classic /coc/
>whoa whoa whoa... let's not be TOO hasty here...
Look, as a huge mark for leotards and Cammy White, all I'm saying is let's not put a /fit/ character in a leotard, limb-guards, and boots, and have the gall to call her "not-cammy". That's all I'm saying.
Well a carbon copy of Cammy's gauntlets might seem too derivative, but there's plenty of other rivet/bolt/nut designs we could do. And there's a reason that big clunky bolts and screws are so popular on combat glove designs. Looks brutal, like they'd really hurt, and imparts that industrial feel.
Whoa, Are those tesla coils on her forearms or elastic springs kinda?
>Whoa, Are those tesla coils on her forearms or elastic springs kinda?
I figured they were tesla coils.
Yeah, without the bullshit from classic /coc/, or any new bullshit. I guess people were just in the zone. /aco/ even managed not being a shit-fest for period of time.
Maybe get rid of the Cammy-ness by incorporating something like in pic related into them.
>second spoiler
lol And only because this thread was done for the weekend, and because Daddy Sab was there to take the reins. No offence to my boy here but he doesn't hold that kind of power over a thread. No even close.
Out of those, I think I'm liking the U shaped one with two rivets in it the most.
Someone in the /aco/ thread (I assume the same user who either did the typesetting or inking from before) is asking for it without the logo.
I think that's exactly the piece of advice I needed, actually.
I agree with . It's simple, but still gets the point across.
Thanks.
Haha, that's fine, I'm not trying to be a Saburox or @$$, nor should I.
I don't think that was implied. The implication is that, and I say this in the least confrontational or shitpost-y way, you're also an unrepentant attention-whore, so you're comfortable in shitty threads as long as you get (You)s. Just saying.
I still think this one looks more like an armor she wears when she finds herself in a tight spot, than regular outfit.
Like Batman's battle armor or the Hulkbuster... is there when she needs it, but doesn't wear it all day.
Just like IG is GG's "evil counterpart", IA is Golden Guardian's, right?
Her outfit should be fully based around GGu
The core of IA's design is "imposing." The armored look is part of that.
And what kind of "tight spot" would she find herself in? Her entire purpose is defeating Golden Guardian and proving Russian superiority. If she has armor that can help serve that purpose, why would she not wear it constantly?
Not necessarily. I don't think it should be fully based around GGu's. When theyre younger their are more costume parallels because of the imposter thing, but when they're adults IA won't be able to do that anymore, so that's more cause for the designs to deviate further.
And IA is often up against GGu, who is practically on the level of a demi-god with how much she's being elevated by the magic bracers.
IA would need to bring her A game at all times to not get floored if all she's doing is fighting GGu.
Which begs the question: What is IA doing when she's not fighting GGu?
>Which begs the question: What is IA doing when she's not fighting GGu?
Like her civilian disguise? I've seen it suggested in the past that she works in demolition. Getting paid to literally tear down capitalist society.
I mean more along the lines of who else MOTHER has her fighting.
She can't just be fighting GGu, there must be other targets for an individual so much time and resources have been invested in.
I'm just thinking that if all she ever does is fight GGu, then her successes are going to be so limited MOTHER might pull the plug on her. There must be other reasons why they continue to allow her to operate.
Maybe after each success she's able to petition MOTHER to let her have another go at GGu?
Okay, I see what you mean.
Golden Guardian is definitely her primary target, since she's out to prove her Soviet-built bracers are superior to the originals, and because of her deep personal dislike of Audrey stemming back to her days as Iron Girl. Since she does still maintain a civilian guise, maybe she's continuing to act as a spy as a secondary mission? Her demolition work could give her an inside look at American infrastructure or something.
Perhaps MOTHER considers both missions to be long-term, so one failure to destroy Golden Guardian doesn't mean the entire mission is a failure. Maybe they even sent one or more of the scientists who built the Soviet bracers along with Katya to maintain and improve her bracers and armor, eliminating any potential flaws or weaknesses her battles with Golden Guardian reveal.
Question: If GGu and IA were to engage in a fist fight with no add-ons (bracers for GGu and techno-gizmos for IA), who wins and how would the fight develop?
Tricky to say. They both have extensive combat training, and while Katya's enhancements make her larger and stronger than Audrey, the latter has plenty of experience fighting larger and stronger opponents to draw upon.
It could be that each time she loses to GGu, they upgrade or otherwise make improvements to the tech, then have her fight another enemy of MOTHER.
Then when IA wins against this other enemy, whoever or whatever it might be, she's allowed to fight GGu again and the process repeats.
In fighting GGu, they are continuously strengthening IA to fight other, more immediate threats.
In raw human power, I'd give it to Katya.
But in technique, I'd say Audrey has her beat.
Not to say Audrey is weak without the bracers, but she's trained in more styles of combat and has been fighting an uphill battle most of her life.
I can see GGu fighting against a really powerful anti-magic enemy, which forces her to "borrow" IA's armor in order to defeat said enemy.
And if this kind of jokes would fit, I can also see her complaining on how tigh the armor is in the chest area and loose from the waist down.
>Why not both?
Both designs seem very fitting for Iron Assailant.
The former seems more like a non-combat form she wears while walking around, "office" hours and any non-combat situation.
The latter is the form her armor takes when activated and engaging in combat.
That actually makes sense. The first one wouldn't be civilian garb, of course, but definitely suited for scenes at her home/base/lair/what-have-you. It could even be something of an undersuit worn beneath her combat armor.
The iron breastplate fits her amazingly!
Does Iron Assailant still believes in Santa Claus like Iron Girl did?
She lives in the great white north, I'm sure she's met him by now.
If Snake and Big Boss do, of course she does.
I remember reading the Iron Girl part of the Santa Golden Girl comic and playing it in my head as:
>IG: Santa! It is really you?!
>GG: Hohoho, of course it is I, my child.
>IG: You look just like your pictures, fat and jolly!
>GG: Fat? Oh... well, I came to deliver your present.
>IG: Neverojátno! You deem vorthy of your present? But I haven't accomplish my mission yet.
>GG: Hohoho, well, keep doing your best, my sweet little... eh... tot.
>IG: I vill Santa! I svear I vill destroy the kapitalist pigs and free our comrades enslaved in malls.
>GG: Hohoho, that's... uh... what?
>IG: Me and my family vill treasure this present for generations.
Huh, might need to update the pastebin again.
I added more stuff to it last week I dug out of the archives.
Latest dive I found the cliff notes of the space science bra idea.
What's a good super outfit for a character that requires contact with materials to use his powers? I have a character that basically has Earth manipulation but he needs be touching the Earth/Minerals to use them. He can't lift it of the groud like an Earth Bender or Terra would but he makes different kinds of Armor from them. I honestly can't think of a good costume could ya help a nigga?
Are you sure you're in the right thread? This is not the WOYA thread.
My bad nibba I'll wait till one of those is made to ask.
Why not just have his costume BE the earth minerals?
Like the dirt just snakes up his feet and covers his whole body.
That's a good idea actually don't know why i couldn't think of that.
>I figured they were tesla coils.
this.
>I'm not trying to be a Saburox or @$$, nor should I.
Well, I think you're a pretty cool guy as is.
You've helped breathe new life to the GG threads and I appreciate all your contributions thus far.
Personally, I like the simplicity of top row #3
(minus the star.)
The other hands are just way too modern in design for the setting.
Her freckles are pointing the wrong way.
But other than that, amazing IG!
Love the look on her face... really feels like her!
>You've helped breathe new life to the GG threads
This. For the love of Yea Forums, this!
>Her freckles are pointing the wrong way.
....
I'm more inconsistent with Audrey's than I am with Katya's.
The way I'm keeping it consistent is that Audrey's is a string across her face and Katya's is the mickey mouse arrangement on either side
Sorry if my comment upset you, I based it on the arrangement the Iron Girl intro comic is going for.
Still, thank you for so much great IG art!
>Sorry if my comment upset you,
It's never that serious.
>The way I'm keeping it consistent is that Audrey's is a string across her face and Katya's is the mickey mouse arrangement on either side
The way I work it out is top part of Katya's freckles are flat because Katya's top is flat.
In the mandatory body-swap story between GG and IG... how would IG perceive GG's "larger than usual" assets.
Also, would GG be happy to be back in the ideal size?
>how would IG perceive GG's "larger than usual" assets.
She would feel immediate shame and anger that such a fat, uncoordinated capitalist cow can match her in physical combat while in no way being cognizant in the slightest that there's at least 30 pounds of titty meat hanging off of her torso. Katya would assume it is entirely due to a lack of discipline and training on Audrey's part.
Body-swapped GG and IG confronting each other after a hours in the others body.
>IG: Cursed Golden Girl, give me back my body! Your inferior Amerikan trained body is too weak, your back pain is killing me!
>GG: You sure it is not because of something else? Let's say... something upfront?
>IG: Your frontal balance is a complete mess too!
>GG: Uh... how about trying to take a look at your, I mean, my feet?
>IG: *Gasp!*
>GG: Finally noticed?!
>IG: Your inferior Amerikan diet has also mess with your eyesight! I can't see the feet.
>GG: Oh for Silver Queen's bracers... let's just change back, please.
Daw thanks. I'm digging the cape-less look! A concern I had about the chest plate was that it gave her an inappropriate "medieval knight" kinda vibe, but removing the cape offsets that nicely. I didn't think of it for some reason, but I'll draw her like that next time. And while I like the riveted gauntlets, maybe going with simple heavy gloves is best.
Oh, I hadn't been aware that the freckle patterns were different between the two so I'd just drawn them however until now. Then when I was enlightened I arbitrarily picked a triangle pattern to stick with, but pointing the opposite directions of what you'd been doing.
You're the original so we should just agree to use your way, although >even Audrey's freckles are top heavy
is pretty funny.
Should we change Silver Queen's freckle reveal in the pastebin to reflect this preference?
Love this art, it's full of that "similar looking characters" mirror each other movements before reacting scene.
I think so, it doesn't really matter what's the difference as long as it their pattern is slightly different from each other
>even Audrey's freckles are top heavy
....
heh.
We'll just leave it to author's discretion.
>I'm digging the cape-less look!
I wasn't going for a look, honestly, I just couldn't be fucked to draw the thing.
GG and IG both have weird capes that are just... kinda there? No visible attachment to the costume. I'm sure someone explained how the capes worked and it's buried in the bin somewhere but it's always an afterthought to me.
>Love this art, it's full of that "similar looking characters" mirror each other movements before reacting scene.
From the thumbnail, Audrey's ponytail kinda looks like one of those anime spit-bridges from them furiously making out.
>mandatory body-swap story
These are always terrible and you should be ashamed for even suggested it.
>These are always terrible
If you can honestly say that after watching the body-swap episode of JLU, I may belive you
>No visible attachment to the costume. I'm sure someone explained how the capes worked and it's buried in the bin somewhere but it's always an afterthought to me.
I think it's deliberately designed to blend with her top for simplicity's sake.
Don't think I've seen a body swapping episode where they already looked alike.
Would personally find it amusing if nothing in their life changed because everyone still thought they were themselves.
Not in GG, just a story in general.
This. The layer picture shows the top, cape, and shorts are all separate parts.
When it comes to the freckles, I think the only time when it's important to keep consistency is when both GG and IG are in he same comic.
It's weird, I thought about a plot like this the other day, but the context I thought about it was them being swapped in their civilian guises and Katya trying to prevent Audrey from discovering her secret (which Audrey already knew, but doesn't want Katya to know that she knows) and visa versa.
So they'd be trying to swap back before Audrey is needed for GG duties and/or MOTHER contacts Katya?
I just did a quick search of the archives, and I realized something that apparently hasn't been pointed out: Katya working in demolition contrasts nicely with Audrey being a mechanic. One builds and repairs, the other tears down.
Art question
Does this look like a leather jacket?
Trying to get better with reflective highlights but worried it's coming across more like a pattern.
Looks like shine to me. Helps that his hair also has shine in it which would make it obvious if it wern't already.
His pants have that shine, too. Jeans would be more appropriate for his look.
This and this Nice work overall. Readin' Rocker Billy
Jacket is good. Swap the pants texture.
Do you think Katya would ever ride a wrecking ball to enter a scene?
Sounds like a suitably dramatic entrance for her debut.
If she could get away with it without killing herself, probably.
And it's Tuesday, time to just let the thread go. There will be another one on Saturday and there's a thread on /aco/ that is being perfectly serviceable if anyone wants to keep going with GG discussion.
