>Tom King
>Geoff Johns
*mic drop*

Well he has the creepy russian look down, big nest of hobo hair, and I assume some cheap tricks and conjurations. Kind of hard to get a better Rasputin then that

>Johns
Oh no

At least Johns doesn't try to act smarter than he is (unlike King). He knows his limits and his weaknesses.

If you honestly believe that read any issue of doomsday clock. What a piece of shit that's been.

Sounds like did read Doomsday Clock and Tom King's work to come to to that decision

Been craving his Captain Britain any storyfags wanna do a storytime of his run?

Why does he keep up the old mountain man look?

There are lots of comics writers just as good if not better in some ways than Moore. Very few them work in capeshit however.

Morrison surpassed him ages ago

HahahhaahhahahhaahhaayyayayayayayayaagahahahahahhahahahaHHaahhaayyahfjzbzbzuuzhdhdzygzbs

Hahahhahshshsgrheedbdjdjcududjjdjeejskzjsqhshssuwuuehehehhxyxuyxyxhehdndh

Mor

What's up with all these old images with some white bar with text at the bottom?

he draws power from the hair unlike limpdick baldies

As a self proclaimed wizard Alan Moore has powerful demon friends which have cursed the comic industry so that nobody will ever surpass him

V for Vendetta is a more enjoyable read then Watchmen

Care to name some? I’ve been reading less and less capeshit for a while now so genuinely looking for recs. Open to manga as well.

Love and Rockets, Saga, Jupiter's Legacy, The Boys, Invincible, all arguably better than anything Moore has ever written.

I’ll give you Love and Rockets, all the others are quality entertaining books don’t get me wrong but they don’t touch Moore’s work imo, at least not his best stuff like Watchmen, From Hell or V.

Ironic memery. Makes it look like a normalfag image.

Saga is truly horrible

Why do people on here hate Saga so much? It’s not the beat thing ever but pretty good for what it is, probably one of the better Image books.

Why is Alan Moore morphing slowly into Gwyn Lord of Cinder?

I heard he can also pull of a convincing Karl Marx.

Where's Morrison's Jerusalem?

He toppled himself by not finishing Big Numbers.

It's so bad it offends me when people claim it's good.

Someone's got to keep the fires lit.

OH NO NO NO

>Invincible
>Jupiter's Legacy
With the retards that browse this board now, I cannot say whether this is bait or not.

Moore and Ennis think Saga is good.

And?

>Johns
Aquaman was good yes, but I never cared for Green Lantern. Other than Cruz, because Eye Lantern a cute.
>Tom King
Ahahahahahahahahaaa- Go fuck y'self.

I never read Johns' Aquaman, should I?

General consensus from the internet is Johns run is readable, sure- but then you can pretty much skip the next author and skip to Abnett, who picks up the book just before Rebirth hits.

Geoff is just ok and King is a massive hack.
Pick that mic up.

This is the worst reply of the thread because it is unironical, this is what Morrisonfags actually deluded themselves to believe.

Morrison is the most disappointing writer in comics because he has essentially squandered all of his potential. Instead of growing and moving on to bigger and better things he kept doing the same shot over and over again.

And they think it's good.

Why are Anti-Morrison Cultists so easily baited?

Johns is probably the most pedestrian capeshit writer I've ever read.

>Jupiter's Legacy
Are you fucking joking m8? Millar's writing is fucking awful no matter how talented the artist he employs.

They think it's good AND they think it's good? So what? What kind of an automaton are you? Can't you decide for yourself what to like?

Disappointment mostly. It's heralded as one of the best comics ever made and even Yea Forums was hooked on it for a bit but it really doesn't deserve the praise it gets. Still a good book but I've read much better from Image alone.

>Still a good book
I refute this. I was told it was great, read the first trade and dropped it harder than the Enola Gay. There wasn't anything that would make me call the book good.

That's you're prerogative I suppose. I still liked Saga, it just didn't wow me and it's definitely been meandering lately.

That’s reasonable. It started off strong but really slowed down. The last couple arcs have been real slow with very little pay off and the extended hiatuses don’t help at all either. Some of the character interactions are still fun to read though so it makes it somewhat enjoyable for me. What other image books would you put above it?

Someone should do a storytime of one of his Spawn issues.

Fear Agent, Chew, Prophet, East of West, and Deadly Class are pretty great.

Tom King is a lot better than Johns though. Tom King gets criticised for writing the same story, but Johns has never written anything that is not smashing action figures. His Aquaman was completely unremarkable.

Your question implies he's actually worth the effort to topple.

Because he is a book writer not a comic writer.

Listen to his Chapo interview if you're a fan
It's perfeu

...

They all got lost in the beard.

Please name some works on the level of his. I have found a few, but I want to see your suggestions. Non-capeshit, please.

his gravestone epitaph will read:
Alan Moore.
angry man
literally who?

Attached: 02.png (278x278, 96K)

I think Frank Miller's Sin City is better than anything Alan Moore wrote.

Wow, I'm glad someone put all the shitty emojis in the image just to repeat the joke that was already there, but in a way that somehow made it less funny.
Really appreciate it.

mate I don't disagree that there are better writes than Moore out there but based on what you've listed, you're not into any of them, maybe Los Bros.

You have to find the mighty sasquatch before you can topple him

Attached: bigfoot-on-tsmdm.jpg (481x687, 293K)

Sin City isn't even as good as some of Moore's lesser works. I love Miller, but it shouldn't have been more than three books altogether.

>i was just pretending to be dumb!
No, you weren't.

I don't need to when the Anti-Morrison cultists are dumb enough to fall for that.

Because Moore was well read. Newer mainstream writers are inspired by shit like Star Wars, Star trek, Doctor Who, Harry Potter, Tolkien, older capeshit.

Not the same user, but I'd mention Love and Rockets, Cerebus, Stray Bullets, Young Liars, Blast, Sandman, Lucifer, Joe Sacco's stuff, Maus, some of Lemire's non-capeshit stuff, Ghostworld and Duncan the wonder dog.

>Blast
>Lucifer
>some of Lemire's non-capeshit stuff
>Duncan the wonder dog
These aren't quite at his level, though I enjoyed some of them. I was so hyped for Duncan the Wonder Dog because of the great amount of praise it got, but it was a disappointingly ugly book. I haven't yet read Lapham's stuff or Ghostworld so I'll check those out. Your other suggestions are good.

Lucifer is so fucking overrated

>Rasputin Impersonator

>thinks fucking Millar is better than Moore
god, Millarfags are so fucking delusiounal. The only good stuff he has ever written have been when Morrison was writing with him. Everything since has been absolute trash. I'm not even a big fan of Morrison but there is a clear divide when they split paths

of all you mentioned only Love and Rockets deserves to be brought up, but even it isn't as thoughtful as Moore's work. Maybe as good, but not as thoughtful

they also praise Dave Sims

This was actually a very good interview, if you're interested in Moore youvshould listen to it, regardless of your political leanings.

Neil Gaiman?

>What other image books would you put above it?
>The Black Monday Murders
>Murder Falcon
>Extremity (yes anything by DWJ is far better)
>Monstress (gets too much hate on Yea Forums)
>Sunstone

Not really. He's great though.

Alan Moore literally caused the dark age of gritty, lame capeshit reinvention and inspired 6 million writers to write the same shitty story about "what would happen if Superheroes were real" over and over again. There would be consequences to people's actions, thanks Alan. Well spotted.

has his wizard beard gotten longer or is it just me

>ywn have alan moore as your hypeman
youtube.com/watch?v=1rGwKvrW15A

Attached: Alan Moore Pokemon Go.jpg (675x1200, 107K)

This. The interview mostly covers From Hell and magic.

The nigga just writes books and has pictures with them. Really wordy, theres like 3 times in Watchmen where its story telling through pictures alone

I love DWJ’s stuff but I don’t think he’s a better writer than BKV. His art is the main draw imo, no one can quite convey intense motion the way he does, nothing ever feels static or lifeless. The big action scenes at the end of Extremity are probably some of the most fluid in all of comics.

Attached: 1557785309390.gif (206x206, 276K)

his work always hits really close to home for me. Murder Falcon felt like it was literally written for me personally. So I am biased

Moore > Miller > Millar > Morrison

This guy looks like a dirty hobo wtf

>Millar > Morrison
I'm no Morrisonfag but this is just flat out wrong.

He won't give you a real answer.

Moore > Miller > Morrison > Millar
Fixed and final.

>Chapo
Sigh...very well

Attached: 1528401660925.jpg (362x266, 20K)

>The Boys
Ennis fuck off.

You can't think by your own, can't you?

Moore=Morrison>Miller>Millar

>Saga, Jupiter's Legacy, The Boys, Invincible

Some of those are good but 1-800-C’mon now

Moore > Morrison > Millar > Miller
Fixed and final. Born Again and Saved are the only truly great works Miller ever did. TDKR is the most overrated nonsense in comic book history. Deal with it.

Not Moores fault that a million hacks tried and failed to be as good as him

I can't think of anything Morrison wrote that surpasses Born Again. I also don't see how TDKR is nonsense. It happens to be one Morrison's favorite comics, by the way.

master baiter

That episode isn't really political.

only one that comes close
he has no magnum opus tho
you just kind of stumble on him and realize he's fantastic unlike everyone beating something of his like watchman over your head since the beginning

>no magnum opus
Sandman would like a word
