I think the story in 2nd season will be the same as in the books but at the end of the season as it was with the 4th book and last 2 episodes of 1st season. Also I think it's the reason why we have to wait for so long. The 6th book will be released at Sep 03, 2019 and the 2nd season will be at the beginning of the 2020 (I hope beginning). And I don't really think there will be one more book because Luke works on one book for ±2 years.

The town must be several hundread years old, so people from trolberg should have arrived to the city looking for a free place where to live.

This is what I find facinating in Hilda, both, creatures and human want to live pacefully but most of the time they just can't live together, it's a constant state of conflict between the supernatural elements and civilization. I hope the next season would show what's going on in the rest of the world. Hilda and the blackhound comic shown outside of trollberg there's creatures different from what we've seen so far.
