I'm hype for this. The colors and textures used in the Trolls scrapbooky felt aesthetic are nice as hell, I would have enjoyed the first for that even if it wasn't a decent movie otherwise. I like that they're leaning harder into their niche as a modernized take on the old 80s Smurfs/Fraggles/Moomins elf-critter fantasy (what do you call that genre?). I'm excited for the merchandising potential (and donut steel potential) of centrolls/mertrolls/etc.

It definitively was "watchable". Story is rather bland, there's a weird forced romance (not the one you would think of) but overall there are plenty of funny moments, a nice "fuzzy" aesthetic and even the songs are pretty good.
It's probably past your age, but it's not offensively sugary.
