I honestly hope the crew of the show can make their show as originally planned. Star vs was ruined because it’s supposed to be ended at Battle for Mewni initially, but forced to extend the show by extra order of seasons, so they tried to infill the unnecessary stuff into it and the show loses its soul.

Nefcy failed in that she and Dominic only outlined the key plot points, but let the junior directors and boarders run amok with the writing of the details. What resulted was a cluster fuck where all parties felt cheated of what could have been an excellent show.

Meanwhile, the youngsters get a slap on the back and a "job well done" from their peers before hopping off to go ruin other shows, or maybe, just maybe, recognizimg their mistakes so that future shows turn out better over all. Star vs was cannibalized for their careers, and they're unlikely to do anything but give it lip service on their rise to awards and recognition, never once owning up to the failure and disappointment they've inflicted.

This was probably one of the things that pissed me off far more than the bait-and-switch shipping. In the previous seasons, there was a significant amount of gray area, with blame being able to be placed on any and all sides of the situation. It made discussions, theories, and fanfics interesting because it allowed for a relatively wide exploration of the themes from many different angles. And instead of trying to present an in-universe solution to those problems, they opted for the quickest, easiest, and most boring solution on the table. Foist the blame to one particular side, amp up its villainous portrayal, and damper it's justification and reasoning.

The show teaches that healthy relationships require a deep friendship before they can blossom into something greater. It also teaches lessons against racial bias ( mewmans vs monsters ), self identity (the Mexican boy is not ashamed to become a trap in certain episodes)

100% of the trashfaggots that say the show is bad and had "bad writing" is simply because of ONE reason only. During the first season the deuteragonist Marco Diaz (the Mexican boy) is shown to be deeply infatuated with a hip skater girl in school called Jackie Lynn Thomas. about half of the show's fanbase grew obsessed with the character, later known as Jackiefags by the rest of the fanbase. Marco eventually gets into a relationship with Jackie and Star begins to develop romantic feelings towards him, which forms a love triangle trope. The Jackiefags began their mockery of Star fans and the cuckqueen memes saying that Star would never end up with Marco. At the end of season 2 Jackie and Marco split up. The triggered and SEETHING Jackiefaggots, then jumped ship to shipping Star and her former boyfriend Tom, they start having a relationship but it eventually strains and ends in the final season. All through this time Marco develops relations with other female characters and the Jackiefaggots and shippers jumped all over that. Being in full ignorance of the inevitable and eventual Star and Marco being together ending. Star is the show's creator's Mary Sue (a self insert) and Marco represents her real life husband, so the characters ending together was all but obvious. In the final season they end up together.
