I liked Season 3, but I'm also pretty easy to please. From what I've seen I'm in the minority though. Many people didn't like the shorter season with it's accelerated pacing, and reactions are mixed as to the direction of the story itself. The action, art direction, and some of the character moments are pretty on point though. If you go in with relatively low expectations I think there's a lot of good stuff in there to enjoy.

Season 1 is considered the best. Season 2 is considered pretty good and season 3 had some issues inside and out.
The main one is that the creator decided that he wanted to make a manga. So, he made a manga with the show's artstyle, which looks awful, and then put actual plot into it. Meaning that, if you start watching season three, you wouldn't know what was going on. Because years have passed inbetween season two and three and it's all stuff that gets covered in the manga. So, you've got that. Then the season itself also gets bogged down in deepest loreshit that has been the bane of every cartoon of this decade. When the show was really just about misfits having fun in a crazy world. Then, to top it all off, the main character gets shit on alot. Which a lot of people are still, to this day, salty about. Apparently someone in the staff hated Yugo. I don't know myself. Reminds me a little of Finn from Adventure time.
