The real issue is that they gave his thing of flying around between planetary apocalypses to Carol now. Except we never get to see any of it.
MCU Carol was such a mistake. I can‘t believe the movies fell into all the same traps the comics did and then broke out the shovels to dig themselves even deeper.

they made the mistake of adapting the KSD run because of its small but vocal fanbase rather than the Carol from the EMH cartoon.

Nova is a fairly generic powerset (flight, strength, durability, energy projection) with no personality to speak of. Sometimes he will be backed by a Nova Corps, the marvel equivalent of the Green Lanterns, but some writers seem so prefer to forget they exist.
Honestly, I dont remember. That would definitely push Nova closer to Quasar but even then... Quaze is the avatar of Infinity, you really need to be a conceptual entity to get much higher on the power charts.
