It's funny because the original version of Ass Creed did't even have a modern day segment and was just a period piece, the Animus was all Ubisoft looking for a way to make more sequels.

There was nothing more annoying than finishing a chapter only to get thrown into the modern world to run around a shitty map that had absolutely nothing in it.
