I'm sorry, I really wanted to like this show, but "great" is certainly not an accurate descriptor. They have improved on a lot of things, but they have totally ruined a LOT of characters (see: Grimlock, and just about every seeker who is a hollow cardboard cutout), and have no plot. All that has happened in an ENTIRE season is the autobots are on earth and the deceptions are chasing them. The entire movement of the plot is usually covered in 1 (sometimes 2) episode(s) of the first season of just about any other TF series.

Again, I really wanted to like it, and its not the worst thing ever, but it just has so little going for it... and the fight scenes are embarrassing.

No, Skywarp and Thundercracker had unique personality. Even Starscream, who is the most fleshed out of all the jets, is a sad/weak version of his former self in this show (sad/weak in that his personality isnt as strong as it should be).

Tarantulas DID succeed at implanting the Predacon programming, like he did with BA. But he failed to get it to scan a spider (because he wanted a trio) and failed to make it loyal to him (since, as has been mentioned, ant mind overrode all and made him hate spiders until his designated queen told him othetwise).

So, in theory, without Tatantulus, Inferno would have still been a crazy ant, but a Maximsl crazy ant who would have imprinted on Optimus

He only made that choice because of Tarantulus' fuckery.
His logic circuit damage and his status as a Predacon where two separate pieces of mindfuckery

Taking into account how the usual artist draws Winston, it's not so bad.

I understand what they were trying to do. It was just poorly executed IMO. The justification as to why he is dumb in dino mode is just a poor excuse for what they wanted. But, the whole show is that way. Its just a half ass attempt to do x y or z and they just dont care. Its like they wrote the script, looked over it once, and green lit it. If the whole show was just refined a little more, it could be so much better. But, again, the show is just an empty husk. Nothing has any substance.

Although the first two seasons built up a lot of potential only to be ruined by the third season which was basically a season long commercial for the new gimmicks on the toys.

why even be a fan, then. that's like being a Star Wars fan and thinking Phantom menace is better than Empire. Yea, TFA starts off a bit slow, but it ends up having some of the best character chemistry and development of the whole series. It really humanizes characters like Optimus and Ratchet who fell pretty hollow and by the numbers in other shows like TFP.
