Better than the English one
Makes me want to watch some 90s anime OVAs.
youtube.com
japanese animation, german text, italian names in credit, english lyrics, set in fance, yeah got it.
Does this count?
youtube.com
There were a whole bunch of kids who put themselves in hospital because of throwing stars and nunchucks so they had to downplay the whole ninja thing in the UK.
On a related note.
Wally was renamed Waldo for the US for some reason (Wally is the original name)
germany was a mistake
...
Wait, that is the german Intro to x-men? No wonder i never saw it when i was young.
Have to wash away that bad taste with an actual good german intro to an american cartoon
youtube.com
youtube.com
I was surprised to learn that the english version is totally different
4kids F-Zero intro was pretty dope.
Better than this shit deserved anyway.
...
>implying Yea Forums would ever be interested in anything pre-2000
Anime is anime. Yea Forums does not talk much about European shit that is not cape shit, but I don't post them with the anime and manga board. Stop looking for excuses to post non western works in the comics and cartoons board.
Didn't the OP say best foreign?
youtube.com
youtube.com
Shame the Jap dub is supposedly shit that tried to shoehorn in Bayformers movies into the story.
Fine, I'll keep it Yea Forums related:
I remember years listening to mondelgreens of this on YTMND.
Fuck that's horrible.
prepare to listen to the most shonen OP you ever heard
youtube.com
if you think that's bad listen to this
youtube.com
youtube.com
The dub is the reason why He-Man is a cult series on Latin America while it's only remembered for mocking on burgerland
Man Latins need to Reboot He-Man.
they even changed some of the lines in the 2002 version of Skeletor to make him more like the classic Skeletor, like they made him more sarcastic and quippy.
I will raise you this.
...
That is more like it.
Foreign versions of Yea Forums media. When Yea Forums has foreign openings threads, they stay on topic posting just Yea Forums media.
La nostalgia.
Wrong, retard. That X-Men opening gets posted in every thread. What a stupid wannabe hall monitor.
Why? It stills looks as lame. Were the performances that good?
Way better than the english dub for sure.
Not a high bar.
Jem... with the m flipped upside down is Jew.
Honestly think it's generic and doesn't fit the tone of the show well
Personally I like the version of the intro that added the transformation and miscellaneous sound effects. Somehow that small detail just makes the intro sound that much better.
>rayearth was on fox kids
wat
>never came out
ah
they could have used the perfectly decent song that was already there.
youtube.com
technically
youtube.com
don't particularly like it, but it's stuck in my head forever.
youtube.com
here's the one they did later
youtube.com
Fucking JAM Project, nice!
...
>Sasookay he's really cool
>Sakura the beautiful
gets me every time.
...
>that singer
LEL, that was the song used on the Media Blasters dub from the old DVDs
Oh and if you think that's bad.....
Ugh, that horrible remixed remaster from PAL tapes
here's how is supposed to sound in NTSC
This feels like one of those commissioned music videos they used to have.
Nah, it went from insta-classic to mediocre morning cartoon. The song is catchy tho
Do they start singing in japanese after those lines?
>not posting the superior english version of that song
I pity Rayearth fans who never owned the Sega Saturn.
youtu.be
oh god, why?
latino openings are pretty hit or miss, but they do a decent job sometimes
youtube.com
youtube.com
DBZ had good ones
youtube.com
youtube.com
and some not so good ones

Not saying is better than the original but I love the names being readed
You mean /m/
I think? I have no idea. The origin of this opening is really mysterious to. I don't think the german dubbers made it. It appears in a few other dubs apparently including the spain's, and some australian airings of the english dub. I think it was actually made by the japanese licensee in some weird attempt to appeal to the western market.
Russia had a bunch of god tier dubs in the 90s

Manga & comics should be a combined board, Anime & cartoons should be a combined board. This way, readers can discuss things, and the TV watchers can fap which is all they fucking care about anyway
youtube.com
>So Funktastic you had to put a Darbouka solo in there
This version is catchy in its own right.
youtube.com
>No Spanish intro..
youtube.com
Come on, man.
Kino
>not posting the best one

Memes aside, I really enjoy the Spain opening with all the corny lyrics.
We would barely get Yea Forums posters if we had a /cape/ board, just like /m/ helps cut down the mecha / robot board spam.
Never heard of this but looks great. Worth watching?
en.wikipedia.org
52 episodes long seems kind of overkill for a series like this with little story. Long running 65 episode cartoons had a good premise and episodic nature.
Still, I might give it a try. If I don't like it after the first few episodes I can still drop it.
I'm not really an Yea Forumsfag, any suggestions where could I find anime this old?
BakaBT had many old series, but I don't know if the tracker is still alive.
Eh props for not using the french opening at least since that dub was apparently based off of it.
it is but you need an account to access it. Surprisingly no Reporter Blues on it.
Thanks anyway.
>getting an account on BakaBT
>get invite type of site
>member only
wonderful, might as well be dead.
They actually tried to translate the song rather than just playing the original japanese?
Seems like they were able to keep the meter.
Yeah it really sucks. Yea Forums used to shit on people pretty hard for making an account there when it was open, but that didn't stop me. Who the fuck is laughing now?
Not to do derail the thread too much, but if there's anything you want at the moment I can upload it to mega. Their selection of old/obscure stuff is still good.
In the PT-BR dub a few songs by seminal (in their country) Spanish synthpop act Azul y Negro were used but not as opening/ending themes.
based
can you please invite me?
Slayers was going to be on Fox Kids, too, but no footage of it has come up.
lostmediawiki.com
Still no invite system afaik. You gotta go to their irc and apply. Pain in the ass I know wiki.bakabt.me
>Jean literally never did anything like in’s this opening
Unironically better than the original.
Based German 4kids
The ones I still remember:
youtube.com
youtube.com
Tho I remember the Ulysess' one being longer, ah well.
Also always been interested in this kind of shows, I'm trying to find it in the places I know, but no such luck. Older, lesser known anime with a western flair was so much fun.
Reminds me of Keikatsu Zorro, another of my favorite childhood shows.
>all these italiano animus and no Gigi
Sasuga Yea Forums!
youtube.com
Looks great.
Animation here is pretty good, but tell me, the actual episodes didn't look like that, right?
Sweet.
Oh man, doesn't this take me back.
I love how italy exchanged a lot of anime openings for really up-beat, catchy disco music.
Okay, dropping these two since the thread died already.
Cheers.

Lmao I'd always laugh at bongs for having "hero" instead of "ninja", but apparently they used the same fucking song, with the same half assed "hero" slapped on the logo here too. The voiceover narrator still says "ninja" tho LEL.
>not Pollon

This is Yea Forums, not Yea Forums.
Fuck Ariane for DB and DBZ and fuck Bernard Minnet for Sailor Moon, Ranma 1/2, Maison Ikkoku and St Seiya
the only based one was Claude Lombard
this is Yea Forums so ... have sex?
Weird, is Odlaw different?
oh this is funky i like it
Jam Project is maximum Hype.
>1. Images and discussion should pertain to media of Western origin.
>Bernard Minnet
Hard for me to shit on the guy because Spain copied his first Saint Seiya intro and it stayed catchy.
Green: French Version
Black: Spanish Version
>des quatre coins de l'univers
>quand triomphe le mal
>sans hésiter, ils partent en guerre
>pour un monde idéal.
los guardianes del universo
al triunfar el mal
sin duda no salen a combatir
por un mundo ideal
>les chevaliers du zodiaque
>s'en vont toujours à l'attaque
>en chantant une chanson bien haut
>c'est la chanson des héros.

coraje para vencer.
It is not a perfect translation but Spain made it as good as the French and to this day, it is my favorite Spanish intro for anything animated despite I have grown up with Latin American songs. This is like a national anthem for kids who had the Spanish dubs in the '90s.
that series had so much gay undertones between Ryu and Ken
Alternate video since TMS are a bunch of fags.
For those who believe this is a bad song (its ok 108271144, i know you are alright), it was for us this, or nothing! We would have KILLED for a version of the song like this.
Anyway, have some DEFENDER OF VIRTUOSITY!
youtu.be
Well played you motherfucker, that must be by far the actual worst work of this dubbing studio, compared to rayearth and VFA.
Virtua Fighter had an anime?!?!?!
For an original story, it was legit nice.
...
It's a french show
Speaking of the french:
youtube.com
we live in a world where fucking toy story 4 exists instead of Battlesaurs the animated series
