Which Goblin is better to you, this version or the one with the glider?

Glider.

Glider.

This

ultimate goblin was better written and anyone who denies this is an idiot, 616 goblin is a luthor-ripoff JOKE regardless of him chucking gwen off a bridge

Glider, but I don't hate the 1610 version.

Glider mate, there's not even a constest.

Hobgoblin.

Glider is more iconic and scarier
Devil is better for porn and lewd situations

based

>luthor-ripoff

Read a fucking comic at some point.

>do I like the green goblin or spicy hulk?

Fire breathing hulk goblin is a stupid concept

Not this boring faggot.
Ultimate Spider-Man villains all sucked. The only good one was Doc Ock and Bendis killed him off like a complete retard he is.

I get how they are both crazy but hulk goblin was crazy beyond reason. Like, he was a dumb brute.

this

Ultimate for days.

Glider is the clear winner.

My man!

The real one, obviously.

So you only read Marvel since the 2000s, that sucks man.

>have an arch villain who is the counterpart to the hero, physical prowess enhanced through science and complented by custom equipment, as insane and cruel as the hero is thoughtful and selfless

>or you can have a fire breathing bruiser

I'll take glider goblin. The Green Goblin's tenacity, the threat he offers, should not be based on how well he takes a punch.

Jesus, user

>hides his denial by lashing out

Glider, but i really liked Ultimate Goblin, dude was a fucking beast

This fucker
I like that Norman just an asshole without split personality bullshit

Attached: 12aac521325f140fc14f563abe3eec83.jpg (1280x1024, 63K)

Glider Goblin was fucking great.

Never understood why Elf Hulk was even a concept.

I fucking hated how they tried to make Norman into another standard world conquering evil business guy in the mid 00s. That was too damn far from his whole theme.

He was never supposed to be evil Stark

I'm going to have to go Glider for one reason. Well two reasons.

The reason they made Goblin they way they did was so that they did not have to do Venom. Once he came on the scene well now we have two guys who basically do the same thing not to mention the Hulk.

The other reason is the Lizard, like I get people want SPider-man villains to be more realistic or whatever but all it does is either make the, too similar to each other or just become more background fodder. Like I know some people like Hulk Goblin but think about it like this, does it make them stand out in Spider-man's rogues gallery or just make them more generic?

Attached: ultimatevenom.jpg (300x305, 14K)

You're aware Norman was a scummy businessman for about two and a half entire decades before Luthor was, right?

Like for the entirety of Normans lifespan prior to his resurrection in the 90s, Lex Luthor was just a mad scientist in a green and purple costume who made robots.

Most Spider villains have a similar origin to Peter. Random ordinary guy in New York gets into some accident, gets powers, and then they have no sense of responsibility at all so they fuck around. Goblin originally had that too but people really wanted to weave the whole evil business man into it in the 90s and 00s

Well modern Norman does take a bit from modern Lex, but Lex at the time he got his new gig as evil corporate villain was compared to Kingpin who really did it before they all did. Only Kingpin was more obvious with his crime. Before Norman came back while he did screw a scientist over it was not well known how many shady practices he was actually doing.

You're aware that Lex was an evil genius that built gadgets and special super suits to fight a nemesis for about two decades before Marvel even existed, right?

Goblin will always be nothing more than a (Very) poor man's Luthor. Just a pale imitation of a better, more popular character

Glider. I think the best way to merge them would be for the goblin formula to turn Norman into this as well as drive him insane, but he can turn human again at will and then he turns into this again when he's losing his grip. Thus you can have Norman more or less the same, but he turns into a flaming goblin monster after he's been otherwise defeated.

It does seem kind of like a Hulk knock-off though.

You're aware that that shit comes from the fucking pulps that predate Superman right? Dumb fucking faggot?

You're aware that one character is known around the world while the other is just a third rate ripoff that everyone forgot a decade ago?

You mean just like Darkseid and Deathstroke? You want to go down this road dumb faggot because it wont turn out well for you.

I like him more as a costumed guy that uses science to make weapons. Makes him a lot more like Peter in a way.

Of the Green goblins, I actually liked late 80s early 90s Harry as the opposite to Peter. He was the guy who grew up in a nice house with money but his father was an abusive asshole who inspired him to be a dick. He's like a reverse Peter.

Oh yes, Marvels amazing house of (someone else') ideas!

Attached: thief.jpg (1512x1744, 1.34M)

All of which are more famous than their DC counterparts whom nobody knows about, dumb dumb faggot.

Dont bring this topic up while trying to argue on the DC side because, again, it wont turn out well for you.

kind of? Look I get you want to generalize but Spider-man actually has a pretty diverse rogues gallery. While many of them have that theme, there are guys like Doctor Octopus, Kraven and the Silverman are not exactly schlubs. That's not even to mention non super villains like JJJ who are more Peter problems.

My issue is more less villains who are exactly the same in ways.

Go away Bendis.

>Lex Luthor was just a mad scientist in a green and purple costume who made robots.

They both wore green and purple? That's kind of eerie.

Nigga like 80% of supervillains wore green and purple for like 30 years.

It's the color of villainy

Attached: purple-green.jpg (630x224, 50K)

Always assumed bendis or millar just wanted to write Luthor, but being the hacks they are, they just treated someone else as Luthor.

Annihilus wears it in more style.

I thought the Teen Titans were a rip of off X-Men?

This doesn't make them any less copies.

Doesnt make you any less of a faggot.

This goblin does get too much hate. I like some of his designs, particularly the horned look. Also I think he had better chemistry with Peter, but that's probably because literally all of his appearances were written by Bendis without intervention from any other writers, while 616 Goblin got written by dozens of people and his relationship with Peter started feeling less special over the years, especially with Dark Reign and shit.

Attached: green horns.jpg (953x947, 376K)

Dark reign was kino

>his relationship with Peter started feeling less special over the years
Death in the Family and New Ways to Die were pretty good.

These happened like 15 and 10 years ago respectively.

...It helps that I just skipped a lot of his appearances since then

>Peter started feeling less special over the years
That might be because they decided to keep Norman forgetting about Peter's identity for a decade.
Y'know, a defining feature of their relationship for years.

>Hobgoblin.

The only sane choice.

Attached: 1487995763396.jpg (988x1500, 1.31M)

low-cost magneto was trash

Thank you. I love seeing people get triggered over this fucking character lol.

x-men is more popular
green arrow is more popular
catwoman is more popular

you are braindead

X-Men is Marvel, Green Arrow, wasnt just in a multi-billion dollar movie. Catwoman sure.

But damn you're retarded.

The patrician answer

Glider.
Monster man is generic, businessman who dresses up as a flying goblin to bomb people is at least a bit unnerving.

And I don't buy that "wouldn't work in live-action" rubbish, we all saw that original Raimi mask.

The one thing spiderverse did right about ulitmate goblin is giving him wings and giving him his iconic hat.

Also making him throw potions at peter.

Attached: SpiderManSpiderVerseGreenGoblinConceptArt.jpg (1024x1021, 93K)

I pray that they don't go this route for the next Spidey game.

Who are those twins?

I like to think that since RIPeter was so succesfull and put together in this universe, Norman as his eternal opposite, was a nobody but still kind of nuts.

It'd explain why there's no sign of Oscorp and no mention of a missing CEO when he died.

Like his Ultimate counterpart though, he still had his near religious obsession obsession with killing Peter, and that's why he ignored Kingpin's orders about killing Peter with the dimension machine.

READ THE FUCKING COMIC

I like a mix of both actually. I'd like the Goblin to be a physical transformation thing as well as him using the glider and bombs.

Before Hobgoblin: twin daughters of a crimelord trying to do good

After Hobgoblin: crippled and guilt ridden sadsacks

Attached: smuggoblin.png (198x232, 55K)

Who the fuck made this without throwing the fucking Joker in?

>Devil is better for porn and lewd situations
Wrong.

Attached: 1559747577829.jpg (500x266, 208K)

What was the artist thinking when they asked him to draw Norman's O-face?

this version's better.

>108269465
Mysterio as well. And probably a bunch of other ones. I guess some would count Hulk?

Man, that seems like a good idea for a villian.

It's like the sentry thing, but we will see the villian getting worse in life.

Attached: spidergoblin.jpg (665x371, 60K)

That he gets to draw Norman Osborn, AND they pay him for it.

What did they DO to his Spider-Man costume?

you don't like useless lines and breaks on your costumes user?

I mean it CAN work, but here it's not doing it for me. It's like a mix of Raimi's symbiote suit, the original Miles suit and the Spider-verse suit. All with some extra added lines.

This with the glider

Thanks Doc

duh

Attached: finish it.jpg (1987x6104, 2.29M)

>did Norman right
>made the nigga kingpins lackey

Really?

I mean design wise.

>the one thing

Nobody has love for Noir Goblin

Attached: Noir_Goblin_(Norman_Osborn).JPG.jpg (404x668, 44K)

Pure trash.

Hey diffrent opinions.

I like magic looking goblin.

>Glider!
I thought that was supposed to be Abomination on the catalog thumbnail.

I like the Ultimate version better—he was more of a physical threat to Peter than the glider version ever felt to me. I wish I could combine the classic version’s intelligence, cunning, and skill at manipulation with the look and powers of the Ultimate version.

To be fair, the move got Hobby in trouble with said crimelord when he was looking for allies against Black Tarantula forcing him to see Mindworm for help, and then got betrayed.

Thankfully, he found a better means later on to become the Kingpin of crime.

I prefer mine demonic, Hob, or both.
