That's simply not true. Any "good" show on Yea Forums gets maybe a month of at least 3 threads on the front page until the freshness wears off. Then it's generally agreed that it's good and it gets left alone until some turd comes in screaming about how good x show is and why didn't anyone tell them about it, etc.

It was fun at the start but the whole child molesting thing really felt out of nowhere, they sort of foreshadowed it with the whole Bertie getting turned from being manhandled and her general shyness, I guess? still, just felt kind of forced to do it so suddenly at the end

The 3 big issues I have with the show are
1) they underused ali wong
2) the feminism got way too heavy handed at the second half of the season.
3) and the fact they made the master baker tge main antagonist when he was being propped up as someone Bertie was gone cheat on her boyfriend with. It almost felt like tge show was saying it was the baker's fault Bertie was unhappy in her life right now.

Aside from this, Anime has a delivery rate that is HUGELY higher than most western cartoons. On average they will complete a story, finish an arc, and have continuity, unless it is a nonsense comedy series.
And quite bluntly, it almost always looks better. There's a much better reasons to stick with an anime for the payoff than most western cartoons, and I say that as someone who likes both a lot.
