The screen cuts from a wide angle shot of a peaceful Chinese village on the province border to reveal a single falcon circling above reading for the kill.

We follow the falcon as it swoops over the town and snatching a small doll in the form of a girl from the hands of a child and up into the sky.

The falcon flows through the heavens and the clouds to rest upon the thickly armored forearm of a lone horseman staring off into the distance.

The horseman takes the doll from his pet's beak and tenderly holds it in his colossal hands.

A soft tear breaks through the horseman's exterior as a star leaping from the skies to land upon the face of the doll within his hand to mirror the doll's cries, running from the toy's black lifeless eyes down its dress and into the dirty leather glove holding it in place.

Beyond their fields, marches an army thousands fold strong, horses, tents, generals, foot-soldiers, tribes, nations, locked on the southern lands like rabid dogs seeking absolution.

The bit at the end of A Girl Worth Fighting For where they see the ruins of the village and the song just stops entirely, but an entire scene of him ruining shit. No music, only battle and human suffering.

It's due to the fact that the traditional dates of birth and death of Hua Mulan are in the V century, meaning that Ghengis Khan was a long way to be born. Shan Yu isn't part of the originaltale, but that's more understandable due to the fact that the original enemy were the Rourans, unknown in the West, and who otherwise likely looked like the later Mongols and earlier Huns.
