He was killed off by Bendis, inexplicably showed up alive in Secret Warriors and then explained as being brought back as a cyborg by Sinister in this Uncanny run, hence the stupid robot spider legs. Give it a few years, he’ll be fine especially since he’s apparently friends with Sinister

Why was Dark Beast allowed to live for any amount of time near the X-men? The last time I remember seeing him, he was attacking the school with nuclear armed helicarriers. He's basically mutant Norman Osborn. He should be kill on sight.

They just brought him in to fix Dark Beast's shit cure.

The weirdest thing about it is that his sabotaging of the cure was apparently completely reversible, and Doctor Nemesis confirms that he'll be able to save the kids in literally the next page. Dark Beast decided to sabotage the cure knowing he'd be caught almost immediately for seemingly no other reason than to be a dick.

Magik really needs to do more magic stuff.

I mean, this is Dark Beast from Age of Apoc; I’m genuinely happy about this death.

Age of Apocalypse was a story where Legion tries to go back in time and kill Magneto, but kills Xavier instead, leading to a world where Apocalypse had taken over and people were a lot different. For example, Beast conducted experiments on mutants for Mr. Sinister, one of Apocalypse's horsemen. When the X-Men use the M'Kraan Crystal to fix things, Beast sneaks in and teleports to the 616 reality, but in the past. From there on he's known as Dark Beast, and continues his unethical experimentation on mutants and others, and just generally being an evil bastard.

X-Men.

All of this shark's friends were nabbed by the secret police run by Angel and X-man. Now she sits at the lunch table alone. Say something to cheer her up!

See what gets me is, if that wasn't enough, the first thing Dark Beast did when he got into the 616 reality was impersonate regular Beast and systematically murder Beast's friends, family and everyone who ever knew or cared about him from his childhood on with flesheating bacteria to prevent them from fingering him as an imposter. Then he went on to kill Beast afterwards (failed obviously)

Now Dark Beast is some guy who regular Beast consults whenever Hank encounters problems he can't solve.

It doesn't work like that, a mandate would come from editorial and usually if it's not event mania connected they don't prepare as much in advance. Hickman's run will be very much out with the old and in with the new rather than cross over material.
