Why does quicksilver keep getting cheated on?

Quicksilver and Crystal get this treatment because their marriage wasn't one many fans were invested in, they meet and fall in love off-panel, get married, retire and spend years in limbo, only appearing when other heroes visit the Inhumans. Their relationship was a means to break up Johnny/Crystal and give the FF a single Human Torch again, and a means to write Pietro out of Avengers, so Wanda could develop independence from him. The only time Marvel tried to get readers invested in this couple was when they were both Avengers in the 1990s, so few readers and even less writers have any nostalgia for them.

The other thing is that Bob Harras (X-Men editor/Avengers writer and later EiC) _loved_ Quicksilver and he was seemingly the only person who thought Quicksilver and Crystal were a good couple. So shortly after this story in FF, Harras did an X-Factor annual that suggested Crystal's cheating and Pietro's insanity were due to Maximus mind-controlling both of them.

Anyway, Englehart left Marvel shortly thereafter and then the '90s actually became a big Quicksilver era thanks to Harras's power at the company, so he became a major cast member in X-Factor, Age of Apocalypse, Avengers and finally got his own ongoing.

Basically characters' destinies are controlled by whether they have someone at the company who either really likes or really hates them.

A lot of the guests showed up in full costume as well, Magneto was the exception. Those Vision & Scarlet Witch minis do show both of them, and Pietro as well, just like to wear their costumes all day every day.

Avoiding any and all mentions of Magneto and mutants doesn’t sound like a healthy reconciliation of her past, but refusing to even accept she is a mutant. At least Pietro tried do something positive as a mutant by joining X-Factor and helping fellow mutants. Wands jus suppressed all that resentment and self-hatred as a mutant with no way to work through it, it’s no wonder she lost it and said No More Mutants.

X-Factor was all kinds of family fun for them.

Luna has empathy vision that she can not turn off. The glasses help.

After Quicksilver breathed terrigen mists he discovered that his powers returned, but in a different way. Molecules of his body were vibrating so fast, that it allowed him to time travel for some reason. He used this ability to summon himself from the future.

Some Kree tried to make him into there a weapon that would order there every command (they tried to do this to the Inhumans they captured as well) and Ronan would rather die then work with these jackass Kree. So he asked Black Bolt to kill him while he also apologized for all the things he has done. Black Bolt kills him and he thanks him for it.

I think that my problem with a lot of the modern stuff at marvel, they would be okay in indie comics, or webcomics, but they don't really look or feel like marvel comics. Its just not the marvel way.
