>Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) is a famous public hero in 1984, retconning "Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Justice League", in which she abandoned humanity for 100 years after World War I.
>Diana is recruited by the United States government to investigate Maxwell Lord (Pedro Pascal), a corrupt businessman believed to be working with the Soviets. Lord has the power to grant people’s wishes, but at a costly price, and is collecting magic artifacts to become a god.
>Barbara Ann Minerva (Kristen Wiig) is an introverted archaeologist who admires Wonder Woman and wants to be like her. Lord grants her wish, turning Barbara into Cheetah. However, Barbara struggles to control her animal side, and lashes out when the public begins fearing her, forcing Wonder Woman to intervene. Cheetah believes Wonder Woman to have betrayed her, and swears revenge.
>Lord also grants Diana’s wish to reunite with Steve Trevor (Chris Pine), who is revived in the 1984, trading places with Diana as the fish out of water who must acclimate himself to a brave new world. Their reunion is bittersweet, however, as Lord ultimately transfers his soul into Steve’s body, forcing Diana to fight against the man she loves.
>retconning "Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Justice League" lol
Easton Morales
At this point, it's wise to consider only the first movie as canon to this one.
Angel Price
The original movie already did it, they're just doubling down.
Jayden Kelly
Oooh... Because of the name I thought they will go with some spectrum-punk, mind control and global conspiracy elements. Now I feel foolish.
Elijah White
>Barbara Ann Minerva (Kristen Wiig) is an introverted archaeologist who admires Wonder Woman and wants to be like her. Lord grants her wish, turning Barbara into Cheetah. However, Barbara struggles to control her animal side, and lashes out when the public begins fearing her, forcing Wonder Woman to intervene. Cheetah believes Wonder Woman to have betrayed her, and swears revenge.
I wish there was a James Bond inspired character to help her or at least an Austin Powers character
Carson Flores
ASM Electro was more like "YOU DON'T REMEMBER ME I WUZ BIGGEST FAAAAAN"
Samuel Diaz
Nah, what set him off was people calling him a freak while cheering for Spider-Man.
Jace King
>Be me, female villian >Get called “deep” because I don’t actually do crimes, I’m just misunderstood >Am actually best friends with the hero, because neither of us has caused the other any suffering whatsoever >People still read because I have tits
Nothing in the site's descriptions give the idea that they will outright retcon BvS and JL.
The site says that Wonder Woman is working as a spy for the US gorverment during the Cold War to hunt down the Russian Spy Maxwell Lord. Nothing says she's a public hero everyone knows or love. She could be a hero in secret for all we know, with only a few people knowing about her true identity and her past role in the WWI inside the goverment. The site also says that Barbara Ann Minerva wants to be like Wonder Woman, but she's also told to be an archeologist. She could have figured out the truth behind Wonder Woman participation during the WWI.
So we will only know for sure once the trailer drops.
Why does Cheetah need to be another meak, shy women manipulated by some evil dude?
Why can't she just have her own motivation?
Connor Ortiz
I wouldn't even have pegged her as one of Diana's main villains if I hadn't come here, from the guidebook I had it seemed like the league Dr Poison put together were greater recurring threats.
Literally Electro story arc from Amazing Spiderman 2, lmao
Carter Ortiz
Tbh that almost every media. Women can never be fully evil
Alexander Richardson
Except she’s on the legion of Doom.
Connors turns into a rabid, crazed beast but wants to revert so he can be with his family. Cheetah’s just a way for WW writers to act like Diana made a mistake when she didn’t even do anything to Barbara.
Not really, Connor had the chance to stop using the Serum but he keep repeating his mistakes over and over again, he and Cheetah are pretty much the same character but with different species so furfags can try different fetishes.
Michael Morales
Could be worse. You could be reading Marvel
John Allen
>Guy says the word ‘never’ >immediately spam with exceptions you can think of without refuting the idea
Jeremiah Cox
Both are the same shit nowadays because Bendis is turning DC into his style while "Shogun" aka his most loyal fanboy keep Marvel the way he wanted.
Ryder Long
Calm Down. What about Doctor Poison and Siren?
Luis Nguyen
>Doctor Poison She was just following orders and is a cute CUTE
uh, she actually made her legs thiccer, bad idea for a model.
Ryder Diaz
Pics?
Kevin Clark
I highly doubt they're going that route. The only reason to ever put Maxwell Lord and Wonder Woman in the same room together is to have her re-enact that "iconic" scene. This is practically guaranteed to be MoS 2: Electric Boogaloo.
Matthew Edwards
Hell, not even her trainer. Just a bullshit shot credited as being her by some bullshit clickbait site in South America, that most (at best) questionable sites here in the states linked back to.
Gonna be a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong wait
Kevin Sanders
Yeah, because people fucking loved it when Superman did it. Let's just turn all of DC into Mortal Kombat while we're at it, that crossover had to be good for something.
of course not took me some time to find it too when I made the collage but I had to because of the retards spamming the only good picture of "her" which is not actually her
Christopher Moore
He’s saying it’s going to ruin public perception of her since everyone thinks of her as being the nicest of the trinity (mandela effect).
Dominic Rivera
Exactly. I remember doing the same around early 2016 I want to say? Before the solo one was out, and even before she was well received in BvS. I'd find a cite calling it her, and follow the source at the bottom, and as the search continued, the "sources" lost more and more credibility.
Jacob Torres
So it's the Wonder Woman (1977) to Wonder Woman (2017)'s Wonder Woman (1976)?
Jeremiah Green
First let WB handle correctly the most well-known characters, then they can start introducing anyone else.
Ian Bell
It's The New Adventures of Wonder Woman to Wonder Woman's The New, Original Wonder Woman
>Nothing in the site's descriptions give the idea that they will outright retcon BvS and JL.
>"This film will also deviate from the Wonder Woman timeline established in Batman v. Superman. In Wonder Woman: 1984 the character is already known as a superhero. (In BvS, to the contrary, Bruce Wayne discovered her “secret”.)"
Joseph Lopez
But nothing says she will be public known as a hero. She could be simple acting as a spy because of circurtancies.
Asher Rivera
This
Right now WB's grasp on the big DC characters are about ou ut as good as this user's grasp of the english language
Jaxson Roberts
We've had set pictures of her running through the streets of Washington in broad daylight and the Comic-Con trailer had her fighting thugs in a crowded shopping mall.
She's out and proud, user.
Landon Bell
It's literally Cheetah
Connor Gomez
hi zoomer
Cameron Perez
>Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) is a famous public hero in 1984, retconning "Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Justice League", in which she abandoned humanity for 100 years after World War I.
Don't get your hopes up, it was described as a comedic sequence with lots of slapstick humor.
Jackson Myers
>putting Maxwell Lord and Wonder Woman in the same movie They're just skipping Crisis on Infinite Earths for Infinite Crisis aren't they.
Jack Rivera
I don't see why that'd be a problem. With the degree that she can take out average goons, it should be one sided enough to feel comedic, but unless it's an abandoned mall, we'll probably get to see her saving civies, and that is my jam.
Oliver Jenkins
she should team up with steven seagal
Jaxon Ortiz
I mean, I'd say they are skipping JLI and jumping straight to Countdown to Infinite Crisis, but establishing Max as a Diana baddie isn't anything new. She has pretty much co-opted him as her's since Blackest Night.
and Hammond in Green Lantern, Killian in Iron Man 3 Darren Cross in Ant-Man Syndrome in Incredibles
capeshit seems to love the seething incel villain
Isaac Foster
It sounds worse than the previously leaked details from a few months ago, where Wonder Woman was supposed to be a neutral ambassador to negotiate between the Allies and the Soviets at the height of tensions during the Cold War, and the villain was Circe, using puppets to play both sides against each other to set the stage for Armageddon, while using a fake Steve Trevor to manipulate and push Diana to "take matters into her own hands" to make her the new god of war.
Tyler James
I always hate evil Max
Austin Reyes
she's gonna chop her boyfriends NECK
Dylan Ramirez
Don't forget they make Killer Frost (her first name is fucking Killer) into a hero and JLA member Catwoman is basically a bat sidekick now Star Sapphire has been a pseudo hero for a decade Same thing with Fatality Alan Scott dicked two villains into being heroes She helped out wonder woman and Zatanna during the last JLA Dark arc.
Ayden Miller
Cersi
James Reed
That was obviously fake.
Isaiah Price
>when your big terrorist moment is ruined by Diana styling on you on her way to the Orange Julius
Lincoln Smith
There reportedly is a "mind-controlling people through television" aspect to Lord's plan.
How soon until the rumors of Joaquin Phoenix joker cameo being in the suicide squad confirm true? I have feeling those rumors of The joker and Matt Reeves Batman being light DCEU reboots are true. Too many signs pointing the joker to be a reboot.
Circe is one of those 'beyond good and evil' type characters, she will help you out one day and do something horrible to you on a whim.
Kevin Reed
To be fair they're doing this shit will all villains now, even fucking Black Manta needed a "you killed muh father" story because we couldn't have a character who just really hates the hero for genuinely no reason.
>Birds of Prey is canon to Suicide Squad and will be canon to Suicide Squad 2. Haven't they said repeatedly that NuSkwad isn't a sequel to Skwad? It isn't call "Suicide Squad II" by the way, it is just called "The Suicide Squad" instead of "Suicide Squad".
Julian Sanders
>Max Lord grants wishes to people and turns Barbara into Cheetah and resurrects Steve Trevor
Nobody knew what was going on at first but all the actors who survived the first film are coming back and Idris Elba is anew character and not a recasting of Deadshot. It may not have II on it but it's clearly a sequel
Alexander Gomez
>all the actors who survived the first film are coming back
To die.
Adrian Evans
yeah sounds kinda iffy
should've done a Circe + Cheetah combo
Gavin Cruz
>max lord >1980s >no blue & gold they were so close.
Charles Myers
because it actually sounds cool.
Christian Allen
>Nobody knew what was going on at first but all the actors who survived the first film are coming back It's a do-over user. The Director and the Producers both have said directly that it isn't intended to be a sequel to the original Suicide Squad. It's a "re-imagining" with the same cast, sorta like the Wonder Woman movies.
Luke Brooks
>sorta like the Wonder Woman movies. Except from the plot leaks we know that is a sequel with how Steve Treavor is brought back
Thomas Kelly
Yes, WW2 is a sequel to the FIRST Wonder Woman movie. But not to the Snyderverse. Do you understand or do I need to crack out the grayons for you? Bruce dogging on Diana for not being a hero for 100 years is no longer canon to Wonder Woman.
Leo Stewart
>Bruce dogging on Diana for not being a hero for 100 years is no longer canon to Wonder Woman. Good
Jackson Smith
>Bruce dogging on Diana for not being a hero for 100 years is no longer canon to Wonder Woman. Nobody knows anything yet. Max Lord might as well erase the knowledge of Diana being Wonder Woman of everyone's mind by the end of the movie.
Cameron Bennett
>retconning "Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Justice League", in which she abandoned humanity for 100 years after World War I. desu, the ending of Wonder Woman already seemed to completely not give a shit about either of those.
Mason Rivera
The trailer made it look like that, but then what happened in the movie was way, way, way dumber.
Asher Gray
Honestly as a Supermanfag this makes the DCEU version even worse so I really hope it's not true. It retcons MoS too.
Am I really the only person that kinda liked ASM's Electro? The abuse and facelessness combined with his electricity powers literally making his brain start misfiring made sense.
Nathan Martin
I liked a lot of stuff from ASM2, including Electro. But it was still a pretty dumb movie.
Kevin Hernandez
>>Barbara Ann Minerva (Kristen Wiig) is an introverted archaeologist who admires Wonder Woman and wants to be like her. Lord grants her wish, turning Barbara into Cheetah. However, Barbara struggles to control her animal side, and lashes out when the public begins fearing her, forcing Wonder Woman to intervene. Cheetah believes Wonder Woman to have betrayed her, and swears revenge. Holy fuck, she's LITERALLY Foxx Electro.
>It retcons MoS too. As a Supermanfag I'm glad. MoS had the potential to be something great but they fucked it up
Daniel Bennett
Because fuck Zack Snyder
Gabriel Gomez
He doesn't hate the trend, he just doesn't want to be tied to multi-picture contract that might preclude him from pursuing interesting projects due to scheduling conflicts.
Lincoln Nguyen
>MoS had the potential to be something great Not sure I agree with that.
Dylan Price
> THAT WONDER WOMAN! SHE IS OUR ENEMY
William Bailey
nothing is canon it was all too shit to have anything to do with
Jaxon Martin
>Famous public hero in 1984 >Abandoned humanity for 100 years after WW1
I feel as though they don't know when WW1 occurred
Thomas Martin
Isn't Maxwel Lord just a telepath? How is he granting wishes?
Jacob Green
It's okay. So did the people making these movies.
Tyler Russell
He's magic now.
Michael Ortiz
Did you read the “retconning” part between the two things you quoted?
Isaiah Walker
$10 says he's Hades in disguise
Hades = Pluto = Plouton
Plouton = god of wealth combined with Hades
Wealth = gold, gems, etc.
Gold, gems, etc. = underground
Underground = underworld
Underworld = Hades
Max Lord = rich guy
Ergo Max Lord = Plouton = Hades
Plus why is Steve Trevor alive? Hades.
Carter Perry
>He’s saying it’s going to ruin public perception of her since everyone thinks of her there is no public perception of her >as being the nicest of the trinity (mandela effect). it's mandela effect only if you have read post flashpoint only, when she became a WARRIOR!!!
Jace King
Unironically looks better than Gal
Brandon Robinson
Sup tommy
Gabriel Roberts
just like the fist one was going to obviously be about suffragettes
Oliver Butler
who doesn't?
Ian Jenkins
>too many signs Like?
Jaxon King
why the fuck is lord a genie and not just a guy with mind control? the fuck?
Charles Scott
you are acting like there are people behind these products and not machines connected to google
Kayden Walker
>a corrupt businessman believed to be working with the Soviets
Could he be based on Trump?
Charles Baker
>Max Lord grants wishes to people Where's White Magician when you need him?
Jason Lopez
Brie? I'd consider her if she had a dick, though.
Ethan Morgan
They already did this scene in JL
Colton Rogers
Who honestly gives a shit? If they want to course correct, then course correct. As long as the movie is good, it's fine.
Gabriel Barnes
I can only think off anime examples of pure evil irredeemable female villains
Kayden Peterson
It wouldn't even be bad if she left some money on the counter to show off she's changing but NOPE
Wyatt Hughes
>Hades can grant random wishes to people and turns Barbara into Cheetah That's extremely stupid, but considering Ares had lightning powers and the power to project false visions onto the lasso in the first movie, it's not out of question
Nathaniel Ortiz
What we know about the suicide squad is that Jared Leto Won’t Be in the film and the joker gang dropped the thug Jared Leto look. If anything it made Harley Quinn look like she was the joker sugar baby.
And yet, I'm not the one saying there is a scene of her fighting thugs in a crowded shopping mall. On top of that, the scene in Justice League was her saving students from terrorists attacking a museum. On top of that though, OP says they are retconning BvS and JL, so whatever.
William Butler
>Kristen Wiig Here's your sexy new villainous. She's literally pushing 50.
Lincoln Murphy
Wrong
Levi Morales
I never said ASM were good you retarded DCuck just that even those pieces of shit are miles better than anything you've got
Josiah Collins
Get a load of this faggot
Noah Reyes
Ladderfag, go back to RLM youtube channel or fap to anime feet you degenerate autist.
Owen Anderson
heheheh
Juan Gutierrez
Literally, it is Rucka's version of The Cheetah.
Aaron Morgan
Exactly.
Brandon Mitchell
not even that, really
Jaxson Thompson
Fun fact: GA Wondy never killed while GA Superman and Batman did
Colton Martinez
>using Tom King to represent DC Do you even comics?
Kayden Lewis
>"AAAUUGH! YOU'RE A FRAUD, WONDER WOMAN!
Nolan Jackson
Why do you think DCEU Superman took Doomsday into space? He didn't want any witnesses like last time. >"Nice neck you got there Doomsday... it'd be a shame if someone were to BREAK it."
