It's a pretty common trope too. You got 2 mentor figures. One, Fury is a hard ass and kinda rubs Peter off the wrong way. The other, Mysterio seems to be the kid's best friend and looking out for him but then at the end, twist, the nice guy was actually the bad guy.

One of my biggest problems with this Peter is that he feels artificial. It's like his entire character was focus tested to be as appealing to general audiences as possible. Of course they do this with every character, but with Peter it feels blatant like they're trying to sell me a product and not a character.
