Its actually a pretty funny show. I've gotten so used to people aping and failing at Adventure Time's absurdist fake words kind of humor that I forgot how fun a cartoon with actual jokes is.

Only thing I don't like is that hokey campfire guitar they play during the emotional moments in an episode, but pretty much every disney cartoon does it for some reason.

Apparently, enough viewers do it, so it must work. But it also only works if there's already a huge amount of content available in the first place, with the appropriate curated recommendation engine trying to convince you to try out other similar stuff.

You say you're "impatient" but bomb/binge format means you actually have longer hiatuses between seasons, so that logic doesn't work. I've seen people lamenting the end of "event" television with the end of Game of Thrones, and all I can think is, why? There's no "rule" that says shows have to be shitted out all at once now. But that's just how Netflix does it and they're making a lot of money so that must be the "right" way, even though it leads to lower viewer engagement and a greater number of lower quality shows in the end. And it doesn't give lesser-known, but high quality shows the chance to slowly build a following.

I don't know. I guess I'm just getting old (29 years, ancient I know). But I can't stand the binge/bomb format. In the past the social aspect, having a week to talk with people about them most recent episode, was often almost as enjoyable (if not moreso) as the show itself for me.

It also means that even if you produce 100 episodes, people will just skip/fast worward on 80% of the content in between the first and last, usually only going through some keywords like shipping, twist, or meme episodes. Honestly so far this is the one thing that's actually bothering me about this show. I can get over the waterproof part I guess. But I kind of really hope we see that she has a solar charger or something. Or that her phone battery will die and that will be a plot point soon. I think the cartoon is good on it's own merits. We've known what Anne looked like for over a year now, but Amphibia threads were always rather slow, quiet, and died quickly, especially compared to all the buzz surrounding Luz and the Owl House that was announced at the same time.
