That's cause Yea Forums isn't about cartoons. On a board where they discuss cartoons all the time, topics get sort of "used up" or stale after a while, and people get more hostile about opinions they disagree on.
But on a board where they're not supposed to discuss it, most don't talk much about it in the first place, and won't be tired or hostile
