Goku wants a good fight, so he absolutely will wait for Usagi to unleash her full potential so he can fight her at her strongest. This is his biggest and most consistent character flaw, and is something he does even when fighting people he absolutely wants dead so it still applies to death battle.

Which is a damn shame, because in terms of strength and speed Goku could easily destroy Usagi. But if he lets her 'power up' he literally cannot win, because its no longer a punching contest, its a reality rewriting contest.

One of the arcs of Sailor Moon ends with the good guys being unable to find the bad guys hiding on Earth, so they destroy the Earth and everything on it and then wish the Earth and everyone on it *who isn't the specific asshole they wanted dead* back to life.

For Goku to do anything like that, he would need a set of dragonballs and to play by the rules of the dragon. Sailor Moon can just do that shit herself with fucking moon magic. On top of that, Goku would never use a wish to defeat an opponent, because he wants to beat people with his own strength. Usagi has no compunctions about taking the easy way out of a conflict because she is lazy.

Would Death Battle itself count as Yea Forums now? I mean it does have animated segments and animated characters, since Whiz and Boomstick now have (shitty) character designs and they had episodes like Smokey vs McGruff that were actual animation made for the show and not just sprites and shit ripped form games. I think it counts as a cartoon now.

Sakura's in her own category. She technically can only do what her cards let her do, which gives her a lot of different powers some of which are OP broken as fuck on their own, but a lot of which are little more than party tricks. She can delete things from history with a 24 hour undo button if she doesn't like the resulting timeline, and can create any object she can imagine, so those alone are pretty good. But she doesn't have a universally applicable 'wish' power like Usagi does.

What makes Sakura a wildcard (hah) though is that its proven that she can make new cards and has effectively become Klow's apprentice. This means that, in theory, she can make cards out of any powerful magic force, creature, or cosmological constant and not only seal it away from the rest of the world but call on its power on command. Thats a pretty goddamn huge power.

Imagine, for example, how absolutely fucked Goku becomes if 'Ki' as a source of power get Carded. He goes from a living got to a really muscular dude with no powers pretty much instantly, and now Sakura can do anything Ki lets you do without even having to train for it.

Most of Sakura's bigger "feats" are stupid shit Clamp added later through Tsubasa and XXX Holic. They made Clow a Universe-buster-tier reality bender and said that Sakura has even more potential than him.

Eh I'm not really that interested in her being some "powerhouse" but I don't mind seeing a cute loli blow shit up.

Usagi wrecks Goku with ease. One of the few characters who could give her a challenge is Seiya.

Pretty much yeah, the fights are animated, they like to show animation examples in their ‘analysis’ segments wherever possible or at the very least panel shots over some text and nowadays they’ve even got a disgusting insistence on cutting back and forth to their animated personas for their dumb little skits.
