Spidey's a member of the Sinister Six? Time's must be tough

they aren't lmd's this time, right?

I can tell you how fucking triggered I am about the electricity around Shocker's hands. Christ do the people in the industry even know what his powers are?!

Why would they care about dumb nerd shit? Its just a pay cheque

Hasn't he had a mix of kinetic force/static electricity/actual electricity for a while now?
People have been having them just able to do it all to simplify shit from what I've seen.

I'unno, it'd feel pretty cheap to pull the same bait and switch with the same characters twice in, like, the same year and a half.
At the very least, I hope they're real.

I'm assuming it'll be Boomerang trying to get his roommate and buddy Petey in on it, rather than Spidey himself.

maybe its Electro pretending to be Shocker.

It's supposed to be vibrations
Francine has Max inside her (Giggity)

>falling for LMDs again

Guys...I miss the Living Brain

Is there a Vol. 2 announced or is this just in ASM?

Imagine if this issue was drawn by Lieber. Shame we can't be so lucky.

It's an upcoming issue of ASM.

How has Spencer’s run been?

Who's the cobra commander wanna be on the right?

Based, Spider-Man is back to normal after Slott's reign of terror. Recently, Spidey is getting really lucky. He has Life Story, Into the Spider-Verse, Nick Spencer's run, etc

A bit dragged out, but still good after Slot's 10 years

I just want a full insect themed team working together

It's almost exactly like Slott's Spider-Man. The only difference is now he's with Mary Jane.

Does anyone think that last Kraven event was a break from the mold? Jfc

Hunted was Spencer ensuring the original Kraven stays dead while also giving writers their own "Kraven" to play around with. Sounds fine to me

It's pretty much nothing like Slott's run at all.

>No Dormammu

dropped

>*checks solicitations*
>KEV WALKER (A)
What's Yea Forums's general opinion on Kev Walker? Is he any good?

Yeah its way more boring and formulaic. Spidey losing his millionaire position was the last straw.

>Into the Spider-Verse
That's a Miles movie.

Imagine being this wrong.

Back to containment cell, Slott

I come on a visit from Yea Forums don't think it justifies a new thread, found a thing
Is this who I think it is?

So you're a Slott fanboy? In that case opinion dIscarded.

Annoying question: anyone got a complete list of Superior Foes stories/appearances?

Besides the main series and Spencer's new Spidey run, what other appearances do I need to hunt down?

Wasn't it Slott that killed Parker Industries?

Superior Spider-Man #1 is their first appearance

Boomerang shows up in Secret Empire, where his set-up in Amazing Spider-Man is established.

Speed Demon is in Spencer's FalCap run, though as a solo villain during the Americop story

I'd probably toss in Beetle's first appearance, in the Brubaker Cap arc "No Exit". "No Exit" is explicitly referenced in one issue of Superior as far as said issue basically being a stealth prequel to that entire arc setting up how Beetle and Techno got recruited and why Zemo was going after Bucky as hard as he did.

I would actually recommend if your willing to track down the Deadly foes and Lethal Foes of Spider-man while not the best material ever it does actually set up something in Superior and characters.

I thought SpeDem was in Thunderbolts once?

Scarlet Spider and Hummingbird?
I doubt they'll be under Yost's pen so what's the point?

I have those but Spencer's Superior Foes continues Busiek's general rape of said minis (mainly how Busiek turned Abe into a didn't do nuttin and had to be forced, by fans, to acknowledge Deadly Foes.

I'm looking more into issues that are directly related to Superior Foes, from their first appearance onward.

Yet he was the least interesting character

Beetle appears heavily in Spencer’s Ant Man run

Superior Foes appear in Secret Wars Renew Your Vows

Walker's good. The issue is that I don't know if he'll be able to give it the kind of character a story about them would need. Lieber's art was very great about matching and amplifying the tone and I fear that anything else won't match up.

Sort of the same problem JLI had where it never felt right when anyone other than Maguire or Templeton was penciling it. I pretty much put Lieber in that camp of his character having the same tendency towards "acting" that makes artists like them great for books like that.

Yes

So It looks like the sinister syndicate rides again

Essential side reading for Superior Foes:

Deadly Foes of Spider-Man #1-4

Referenced in the main series, setting up while Abe Jenkins and Boomerang hate each other. Though it should be noted that a lot of the characteristics vary mightily from the Superior Foes series (especially Shocker and Boomerang)

Janice Lincoln (the current Beetle) debuted in the "No Exit" arc of Captain America. Like Deadly Foes, Janice's characteristics and personality are radically different, with Brubaker writing her as a white supremacist chick who Zemo gave a new version of Abe's armor to and who shows zero signs of being an amoral lawyer.

Overdrive first appeared in the 2008 Brand New Day Free Preview comic.

Superior Spider-Man #1 was their first appearance as a group.

After the series ended, Janice ended up showing up in Spencer's Ant Man. He first used her in the "Last Day of Ant Man" special, where she fucks Scott on the day the final incursion happened and everything died. She later shows up in the second volume of Spencer's Ant Man as a regular.

Boomerang was part of the resistance in Secret Empire, when he took over the New Jersey mob and was helping the heroes against Hydra.

Speed Demon's appearance in Sam's book is divorced from the context of Superior Spider-Man and more glorified cameo than anything.

They also appeared in Secret Wars Spider-Man Renew Your Voices as the bad guy there's henchmen.

Superior Foes was the best thing to come out of the Slott era, prove me wrong

Nobody disagrees with you.

>I'm assuming it'll be Boomerang trying to get his roommate and buddy Petey in on it, rather than Spidey himself.
Sounds brilliant. This is the sort of shit I want from Spencer-Man. Shame about the constant big event mandate that Amazing Spider-Man has ruining the flow of his hijinks ensuring we never got much more than 6 issues of the good stuff at a time.

Well, it was either going to be him or Dormammu.

That's why you're still a brainlet

That happened in Slott's run, are you that dense, you dumb shill?

general black san is the hottest villain ever.

slott's bit was to piss off his readers. Spencer does the opposite thing.

You have to keep a surprise hidden, man

So, uh, does this just mean that Spencer's time on Captain America was a weird aberration that we can write off?

A bit weird to have him back right after he basically caused the death of millions

Yeah, popular theory is it was an editorial SJW story under Alonso and since he was a good boi he got ASM

holy hell I forgot that blessed page and am actively dying laughing

he was in new thunderbolts. boomerang and shocker were in cagebolts.
