Please no shipping. I wanna talk about the culture's that inspired the show, specifically the aspects of them that deal with spirituality. I want a classic Yea Forums thread where autists can gather around and talk about the lore of a show that they like. Let's make it happen.
Is there a real life equivalent to the spirit world? Because I believe we can reach this through meditation and astral projection and stuff.
>Please no shipping. I wanna talk about the culture's that inspired the show, If we're honest what is in the show is a really watered down version of the irl cultures, specially when it comes to the concept of the Avatar itself and how is just a DBZ version of Buddha.
Gavin Brooks
>please no shipping >leads with a picture of te franchises biggest ship slut What’s the deal with lightning redirection, can only fire benders do it, or could a waterbender Or earthbender redirect it?
Ryan Roberts
zuko's just a cool motherfucker and i really like this shot
and no. any other bender would die. electricity falls under fire.
Gavin Murphy
Toph is a blind whore
Gavin Cooper
Okay so obviously the best ship is Katara/Ozai, right?
>what is in the show is a really watered down version of the irl cultures Well, yeah. The irl cultures are the result of thousands of years of human migration, war, famine, climate, disaster, invention, religion etc etc. The worldbuilding in Avatar is elegantly simplistic because it needs to be communicated quickly and effectively to an audience who are going to be quickly bored by bogging the story and characters beneath tons of exposition about DEEPEST LORE
Korra being an annoying asshole was fine in season one when I assumed she would grow out of it and mature into a competent avatar like the ending of season one implied
Jaxon Lopez
The ending one season one was her getting her powers back due to a last minute asspull. It only implied she was a Mary Sue.
Christopher Martin
Don't be a faggot, user. The thread was going fine.
What would spaceflight be like in the avatar would? Who would be the pioneers of it? Who would perfect it?
Luis Cooper
Sokka was the funniest character on avatar, dude killed it in the desert episode with the cactus.
Wyatt Price
Firebender fueled rocket engines in earthbender built ships. Thousands of firebenders would need to be powering the ship at all times, so they would have to have reserves and work in shifts to keep the constant fuel stream going.
Can you imagine if the nations were more like their counter parts? >water tribe (Inuit) would be a hodgepodge of different tribes and cultures who never talk to anyone >fire nation, being the Japan amalgamation would be filled with unreasonable turbonationalists who hate everyone >air nomads would never come out of their mountains >earth nation would be be land of eternal warlords and suffering (china)
Colton Williams
4 elements trainer is way better then it has any right to be, but its still a meme game that apes half its script from the show itself I'm currently doing the Toph Slave route and it actually has better sex scenes in it, but I hate mind control so I won't be doing the other routes with it.
Between psychedelic Sokka and Punished Aang, Desert is one of the best episodes in the series. Also probably the best Avatar State scene. >Toph’s reaction to seeing it for the first time >Avatar voice >Katara’s face Pure kino.
>Yon Rha what are the odds that Kya's murderer is an incel?
Jaxon Long
Are you an incel if you get pussy but it’s from raping and pillaging?
Noah Davis
Katara was a weaker character.
Ryan Hill
>Please no shipping There was a 10% chance of a minimum-shipping thread, but you had to go ahead and mention that, so now it's 0% Don't stuff beans up your nose
