The characters barely act like themselves and only do when it suits a gag, the plot is needlessly edgy without doing anything to earn that edge, the world building is laughable at best with zero cohesion between the shows it crosses over, the fucking thing has been going on for over 10 years and there's still no semblance of an actual over arching plot or point and the main villain might as well be a non-entity with his motive being virtually non-existent. And the most character redesigns are piss ugly most of the time.

I actually got to meet Bleedman at a con last month. He was being super low-key, but I talked to him quietly for a couple min about his comics and the current state of comics/cartoons overall right now.
He said most major animation studios (CN, Nick, Discovery Kids, etc) are circling the drain right now because of cable-cutters and their failure to adapt to modern streaming services in time. He said a couple of his buddies at Turner Broadcasting were leaving because they knew things were not just bad, but a LOT worse than the general public even has a clue about. Apparently the president of CN/AS Christina Miller has been absolutely destroying everything by trashing the cable side of their operation without having a solid plan for migrating to a stable online streaming service. He said they'll probably be bankrupt within the next 5 years. Stuff is looking pretty grim for the animation industry right now.

PPGD was actually alright, though it started to get a little weird by the end, as Bleedman's hangups and fetishes crept in. Grim Tales was a neat concept with good art, but went to absolute shit pretty fast with references for the sake of references even when they didn't makes sense. Why was Jigsaw the kid's godfather or uncle or whatever? Why was he a literal puppet, instead of the actual man? Then Bleedman piled on his weird magical realm bullshit and hilarious tryhard edgy nonsense, and it spiralled out of control.

IIRC after this arc we follow some flashback of a girl in space getting fucked up without any connection to the main story(yet) and then the science fair that quickly gets hijacked by the villains and non stop fighting/action, AND then again we're having a flashback of the cyborg girl of the villains before we're back to the cast after the bomb blew off.
