Reminder that a SATam creation appeared in a Sonic game

A Sonic game that SEGA has completely erased from the entire franchise.

>Penders killed off any chance of the FF appearing in a Sonic game

Is this from Chronicles, I assume?

Actually, the FFs, and/or any other Archie Sonic character not created by Penders has none of legal issues and problems to appear in other forms of entertainment, including video-games. The said characters pertain totally to SEGA (or Ian Flynn), and they are safely protected from Penders.

The real reason the mentioned characters still haven't appeared in the games is just because the japanese branch of SEGA in general probably aren't fond of them, and are too stubborn to let the characters appear in games as a form of experiment. Granted, Sticks does appear in the spin-offs games, meaning perhaps there are more internal unknown reasons that we don't know about them.

Sticks was reportedly designed by Sonic Team themselves, so she gets a little more slack.

it was so weird that a game had swatbots and roboticization in it.

I always liked Swat Bots and Roboticizers.

Yeah it was from that game, it's insane to look back at it and realise that they were actually taking ideas from the comics in the games
I mean Sonic's Chilli Dog love became canon and Robotnik became Eggman's Eggman's actual name so its not like they never adopt stuff third parties created

something that spawned from something shitty appeared in a shitty game, like fucking Poetry.

Tbh it's for the better, the less anything Penders there is in Sonic the better.

So did Cosmo.

She was a potted plant in Tails' workshop in references to the last episode of Sonic X.

There was also a healing device that looked like Nicole from SatAM.

Is this going to be another thread where SatAMfags whine about Sega not putting Sally and friends in the games and how SoA are angels and can save the entire franchise?

Penders didn't create the FFs you dumdum.

Cartoon and comic roboticization was a lot more creepy and threatening than the game roboticization

The games didn't have roboticization. All Eggman did was put animals into robots to power them like hamsters running on a wheel.

Who fucking cares, he used them and they were crappy in the comics and the crappy cartoon.

Yes, it's going to be.

No, but he tainted them forever, and now SEGA has ordered ALL cartoon and Archie comic characters to be purged from the franchise forever.

Could you blame them? The last they need is Penders 2.0 showing up and trying to get royalties. The Archie debacle pretty much solidified why SoJ only uses their own characters.

Given what some of the more extreme parts of the Sonic fandom have pulled, that might be for the best

This is the closest we'll get to second best badnik in the games isn't it?

Dude all the Freedom Fighters are in Sonic Spinball.

A game made in America without any input from SEGA of Japan whatsoever, and only for plotless bonus stages at that. SEGA likely didn't even know the Freedom Fighters were slipped into the game at the time.

So.... the same situation as Sonic Chronicles then? Which has the Swatbot? Not sure what your point is here.

Completely untrue, but actually a good thing. The Freedom Fighters are pretty fucking trash. So are Pender's space opera bullshit. They'll be lost to time and good riddance

But the all freedom fighters all showed up in Sonic Spinball.

I suppose so, just like the closest we can get some Freedom Fighters in the games like Rotor and Sally in the games is through the little rescued animals of the classic trilogy and Mania.

The game was made by Sega Technical Institute, a US branch of Sega.
