I wanna listen to music while I read a comic series
Here. I’ll start. Anybody know a comic line that pairs well with this?

sandman by neil gaiman.
my turn
I might be a brainlet, but it's hard for me to listen to music with lyrics and read/write at the same time. I can't really process both.
If you know the music well enough it becomes background noise and you can just focus on what you’re reading, while letting the music enhance the atmosphere.
That’s why you’re meant to use music you know well and not random music or something you don’t know
Based SP bro
What's your favorite song
youtube.com
Literally nostalgia in music form
I guess I'm just a lyrics guy because I mean, even albums I've been listening to for 10+ years I'm still right there with the lyrics.
Make me feel sad and uncomfortable.
Generation X hands down
Chip n' Dale Rescue Rangers
>If you know the music well enough it becomes background noise and you can just focus on what you’re reading, while letting the music enhance the atmosphere.
Unfortunately no one under 30 does this, the internet and RYM have turned music consumption into "I'm going to listen to as much as I can and only listen once." Actual music appreciation is dead
Read the “Blast” graphic novel by Emmanuel Larcenet
>The Virgin 1979
>The Chad Tonight, Tonight
youtu.be
I usually listen to something that doesn't have proper lyrics like crystal castles or skinny puppy
bendis's final marvel comic run.
Looking for something summery and psychedelic
Early 90s Punisher
This may be cheating since he makes comics with the album's but they're fucking expensive and stupidly tough to get ahold of
Transmetropolitan
Agreed
For me it's Here Is No Why
Anything written by Morrison, Doom Patrol or Multiversity mostly.
>Starman
The answer is obvious.
The Filth.
The Unfunnies
face it, it was garbage when it was new
bullshit, the only good song is Tales of a Scorched Earth, the rest is overproduced schmaltz and faux-sentimental garbage
Tales might be openly antagonistic and ludicrously angry about nothing in particular, but at least it's thematically appropriate to the lyrical narcissism of the entire album
also on second thought the comic to read with this is that one Magneto run from a couple of years ago where he's literally just Fat Old Billy Corgan for no real reason
>Yea Forums have shit taste
Color me not surprised.
Miracleman.
>the only good song is Tales of a Scorched Earth
I'm keking
>sucking Billy Corgan off at all
>liking the shitty string arrangements on the most pretentious album the 1990s produced
>literally the manufactured drama boy band
yeah, if you don't like the one song that's so fucking over the top it's actually laughing along with you at how shitty the entire album is, you probably put up youtube videos about how Britney deserves reappraisal 20 years later
fuck your noise
absolutely based and Cardiacspilled
based and deafpilled
Body Bags.
i cant think of anything but weekend in the city was abit more depressing so any depressing comic will do for that one
>It isn’t Ava Adore or Eye
If they made like, a comic or a movie about Jeff Mangum really going back in time to save Helen Keller it would be ebin
Vertigo Shade the Changing Man.
This album is just normalfag wannabe indie bullshit. I fucking hate it. These fucks should’ve stayed as obscure nobodies.
Worked
>These fucks should’ve stayed as obscure nobodies.
Translation: my own failure in life should've been these guys' instead
Fuck off /adv/.
Worked x2
Seething because I told the truth
Worked x3
Girls
Well the cartoon answer would be Over the Garden Wall, maybe the comic miniseries?
Shade
We only come out at night
Promethea
anthing along the line of neil gaimans:death
Yummy Fur
I quite like Zero, 1979, and JellyBelly, but my dad introduced me to SP with Bullet with Butterfly wings, so that holds a special place in my heart.
Zero, Drown, Landslide, and Everlasting Gaze
Morrison/Gaiman stuff
The Dark Tower comics based on the Stephen King book series.
Static Shock
>inb4 the niggers start posting rap and x-men comics
Dr. Strange
Sandman
Holy Terror
ACME Novelty Library
Ghost World
Robert Crumb
Heavy Metal
You are late, user. Someone already posted 50 Cents album.
Britney is easily one of the best pop artists of all time retard. Let me guess, you'd rather be shot than dance, faggot?
I don't see it.
Not participating in the game, but I do listen to music while reading comics.
First requirement is that it is something without lyrics or unintelligible lyrics. Then I try to pair up topically.
So in the last few months:
BPRD + Prince of Darkness OST
Ether + David Attenborough's My Field Recordings
Aliens Defiance + James Horner's Aliens OST
Also techno, rainforest sounds, atmospheric black metal, classical orchestra music, post-rock, klezmer etc. could theoretically work for certain comics.
Currently reading Planetary, maybe I will try post-rock with that.
Gaiman stuff.
Bump
I used to listen to lot of Blue Oyster Cult songs while reading through original Hellboy, especialy Spectres album.
Not a comic, but it goes pretty well with Tonight, Tonight
Orc Stain
Tank Girl
Hip Hop Family Album
World of Edena
God Country
The Maxx
Head Lopper
really curious to see what comic this would go with
The Zaucer of Zilk
I sort of based a comic I want to make around this album and Make Yourself.
>Surprise sometime
Will come around
>Surprise sometime
>Will come around
>Oh, I will surprise you sometime
>I'll come around
>I wish I could eat the salt off of your lost faded lips
Comfy thread
>everyone itt sleeping on Oceania because it's not muh classic "cool" SP
Anybody?
already in thread
