Do you think they'll try a live action Tarzan next?
Would you prefer another studio take a whack at an animated one?

Clayton will be extremely racist in the live action remake.
Don't they have to get permission from ERB's estate?
Tarzan was pretty racist in the OG.
He hated black people and had fun tormenting them.
They'll make jane black
Tarzan’s gonna be half black but look as black as they can get away with.
Making Tarzan black doesn't make much sense, since he's the son of 1800's british nobility.
They don’t need sense.
Tantor will be gay
Clayton was Tarzan's father's name before he married into the Greystoke family. That's why I hold the teory that Dismey Clayton was actually Tarzan's uncle.
Turk will be Lesbian
Clayton was still his last name, thus why Tarzan's name is John Clayton.
It would be weird if he wasn't
Something tells me you never read Tarzan
Only read the first book so far, but he certainly doesn't see them as men like he is.
Of course they made a pretty bad impression, what with killing his adoptive mother.
And what about white men? How does he view them?
He was ambivalent up until he saw the sailors betray them.
>Do you think they'll try a live action Tarzan next?
the whittest girl with the niggest nigger and an ebil white incel as the antagonist
I can't wait
Tarzan seems like it'd be hard to make woke.
If you make Tarzan black then there's no reason he doesn't get adopted by native africans. Besides, him being english nobility is important.
Wasn't their a version of Tarzan told from the perspective of a West African Bantu woman
She hears stories of the Half beast man who lives in the Jungles and is more ape then man
the people consider him not truly human while viewing themselves as men
thats an interesting perspective to work with
>Wasn't their a version of Tarzan told from the perspective of a West African Bantu woman
What do you mean by their version? Disney's?
Do we even see black people in the movie?
How much eye candy is gonna be in this movie? I have no doubt my mom will want to see this in theaters, probably alone.
I want a black Jane
jake gyllenhaal as tarzan
tessa thompson as jane
An animated Tarzan is pretty much dead, in the same way an animated fairy tale done already by Disney is dead for any competitor.
Or whoever tries another Lord of the Rings.
That actually sounds interesting. Could work with a more feral and less "Noble Savage" version of the character
What are you talking about user? Clayton was already racist in the original by caging up all the nice Africans that raised Tarzan.
Only way that'll happen is if they make it modern-day, and Jane (Janiqua) will be some dumb college kid going to "The Motherland" to the land her ancestry.org test result claims she's mostly from, and she wanders away from a tour group or something.
But they did recently
A black man did kill his mum.
I just want a good serialized version that follows the books relatively close. Are there any good comics?
Yeah, but then his French mate taught him #NotallBlacks.
Half-Indian Jane would make more sense for the time period.
Book Jane was from Maryland.
That fucker got what was coming to him. Tarzan's racism was justified. Kulonga killed his mother, and Tarzan never stopped hating or mistrusting them. In the wild, animals are always 1 thing. A leopard will always be a threat. A poisonous snake will always bite. Tarzan had no frame of mind to tell him that not all black people are ape-killers.
Live action Tarzan will be a black lad conquering the heart of the white woman while killing the racist white devil
dammit, from the thumbnail, it makes jane look monstrously busty and i want to draw it now.
>Do you think they'll try a live action Tarzan next?
Probably not. There have been too many failed Tarzan reboots for Disney to consider. John Carter came from the same era as Tarzan and that failed at the box office too, so that's another reason for Disney to decline. There's also not much you can do with Tarzan, in terms of modernization. Disney's Tarzan stands out because it's animated.
why do you retards gotta make everything racial
seriously what the fuck is your problem
JCOM focused on the wrong character. Sola was looking kind of attractive. Maybe they should have subverted and had HER end up with John instead of the same old human male, human female pairing.
John Carter was average but what really hurt the film was the inflated budget and the completely fucked marketing.
/pol/ is horrifically mentally stunted. This is a well-known fact.
John Carter's failure still depresses me. It wasn't an amazing film, but it was reasonably good and certainly wasn't offensively bad like a lot of the other films that came out in 2012.
