What the fuck point are you trying to prove? None of that is relevant to anything. Flapjack was comedic and horror, Alex Hirsch worked and wrote on it. Then he went on to do Gravity Falls, which had a lot of similar horror and comedy humor. Yet, one blew up to be cartoon of the century and the other didn't.

Also, Flapjack's visuals were way more surreal than anything in Gravity Falls. But please, keep hyping up your X-Files for Juniors show as being some of the hottest shit ever made.

I think these cartoons have a solid "voice" with strong direction (Both visually and writing-wise) from its creator and their style of storytelling/humor. I think Gravity Falls is very atypical, like Loud House or nuDucktales. I think the fact that GF alumni coming off of it are making products nearly identical to its style of writing means it wasn't really something that special.

I don't think GF is shit, I just also don't think it was some revolutionary cartoon. To me, it didn't do anything to break the mold or do something other cartoons haven't done before.

Damn, now it's flooding back to me. I started watching this at the end of Grade 9, i showed it to friend of mine and we were both hooked. We'd talk about episodes and look up theories and shit. Then the finale was just lackluster. Good cartoon tho. I wonder whatever happened to Alex Hirsch, I haven't heard anything from him in 3 years.

Dipper x Bill is still the largest Gravity Falls ship by searches and content creation, even to this very day. But that's not too surprising because of the nature of slash fandom. I also think there's not a lot of overlap there between fujoshits and Pac shippers or at least that those fans want different things, that ship has nothing to do with the show, it's all made up, and no one ever wanted it to happen in the show because that's ridiculous. I do still wonder how the fuck that happened though. The incest is a little weird too. Other country GF fandoms like the Japanese one are even weirder.

I'm glad that the Mabel hate parade has cooled down. The writers basically just rushed the final season because Hirsch was tired of Disney leaving a great series with an ending that didn't meet up with the hype and the mishandling of some of the characters like Mabel. The comics helped with some of the butthurt.

It wasn't just the finale, it was her role in the story in general. From S1, she was a damsel in distress and plot device painted up to look like a co-protagonist.

People only liking her because they want to fap to her does not make her accepted by everyone else or a good character
