Amazing how nothing has changed in almost 40 years

>phenis

They had the book of this in my school library.

Pretty depressing.

Ah yes, I remember watching this at age 9. It didn't affect me really. Nobody is getting out alive and you will see your loved ones go before you do.

They were british

Here is your (you)

The west can't do emotionally tragic animat-

Every time I think of this movie I wonder if they could’ve avoided getting sick if only they had remained in the inner core or refuge and drunk bottled water while the fallout was still falling out.

I know doing it that way would be missing some of the point, but I just can’t help wondering if a similar thing happened to me, if I could manage to make the right choices to help get through it. It’s really tragic how they got so far surviving the initial blast only to end up the way they did, but I suppose that’s the whole point.

No choices they could have made would have saved them. That whole area was fucked

Because the realities of war, especially one in which Atomic Weapons are used, does not have a happy end.

>Box office
>5000$
Dear god, this makes me sad.

If they followed the instructions perfectly and there was a "best case scenario," they probably would have lived long enough to die of radiation poisoning a few months after getting rescued. But they can't follow those instructions because they're dumb sweet people and so are most of the people you care about. The point is that nobody wins in these situations.

People survived Hiroshima didn't they? It was actually the healthy ones that died since they were the ones fit enough to move debris and died from inhaling dust impregnated with radioactive material that kept getting kicked up while the injured people did not.

the Hiroshima bombs were firecrackers compared to what could be thrown at you in the 80s

It’s better to get torn to shreds in the initial atomic blast than to die slowly in the aftermath

Hey if you guys like When the Wind Blows check out the prequel film by the same author artist Ethel and Ernest now streaming on Netflix. Check it out
t. Not Netflix shill just friendly Yea Forums suggester

Yeah Cailou 70 years later. He fights in nuclear holocoaster

>A phenis from the ashes
What did he mean by this?

isn't that what they think about brexit too?

Hiroshima, Nagasaki and Chernobyl says differently though. Obviously only the strong survive nukes.

Atomic weapons are perfect engines of misery.

Destroy infrastructure, people, supplies, leadership. Then drain resources after as people triage survivors, try to save loved ones and rebuild. And we only got better at making them.

Well yes Teresa May the Second coming of Margaret Thatcher will lead Bongs out of a post EU Britain of course.

Hey as far as we know they might be the only thing protecting us from hostile alien invaders. There's that at least.

The weak survived Hiroshima, the strong killed themselves cleaning up the ruins.

At the same time its the only thing really stopping WW3 having happened.

I’d like to check that out, but it doesn’t seem to be on Netflix in my country right now.

Brexit is working well user, only "Orange man" NPC think otherwise

They got sick because they drank contaminated water and breathed contaminated dust though, right? If they had stayed hunkered down they could’ve reduced their risk of exposure, depending on how radioactive their area was.

'when the wind blows', it's a british film about an elderly couple who survived the WWII british bombing raids, being spoonfed anti-soviet propaganda, and having a childish idea of what war really is. The effects of stronium 90 are sad, but the horrifying scene is before that, when the woman is recalling hidding in a tin shelter during her childhood, and says, "yes, the war was fun." The second horrifying part was theold man imagining big time generals like Monty around a war room table - and his wife tells him if the russians land troops, he'll have to shoot them. He never considered having to kill another person before, and nuclear weapons are totally out of mind. It's a scary, jarring film.

"... Dear god, bless me, and my wife, the queen, and England. Dear lord, if I die before I wake, I give the lord my soul to take. Amen."

Hiroshima are great Nagasaki cities...
Chernobyl have a boominig industry

actually yes. Fallout isn't an electro magnetic wave, it's physical particles that have a quick half life, and it's as safe enough after 16 days, and as atmopheric after about 90 days. If they had done more that a fucking door lean-to, then they might have been okay, provided they weren't in the major blast radius.

Didn't follow the instructions.

I didnt say it wouldnt work since the plan is literally just leaving no matter whhat but it wont be the start of british empire: 2

Those instructions were kinda shitty, to be fair.

yes but only the basic thinking ones

Begone Geert Wilders!

THE EMPIRE WON'T COME BACK

>joe rogan
fag

Well one huge no no is the wife didn't seal the bottles of water. Did she not realize that dirt, bugs and rats wouldn't get into them or that the water wouldn't spoil faster uncovered? So yeah she really fucked them over in that regard.

>picks random thing you like
yikes

>yikes AND joe rogan
How much of a fucking plebbit drone can one person be

>I want to live in an independent country that isn't run by Belgian technocrats
>This means I want to reforge the Empire
I mean, it would be nice to hang out with our old mates that don't openly hate us like Europeans clearly do.

>nukes work
Nigga didnt you watch the documentary?
youtube.com/watch?v=OIWx3ZaKPhA

>Nukes don't work
>A computer virus created on a human OS somehow works on an alien OS
Nice try aliens! i already know of your infiltration of hollywood and how you are trying to give us all the wrong ideas on how to fight your inevitable invasion!

Aliens stole Unix systems from humans, having learned that it's simple enough for a little girl to understand but advanced enough to run the systems on a deserted island.

dont kid yourself there are actual fucking morons who think this will be the big second jumpstart.
No one said there aren't brexiters with better reasons tho, some people are just dumb

>leddit bad
>roagan bad
>words me dont like bad
just off yourself you empty Yea Forums thing, I bet you identify as a wojak edit

The alternative is admitting Europe was conquered under the guise of union without anyone realizing.

or just have a realistic positive outlook on brexit
and bongs genuinely dont care about the union being unfair, they just hate the concept of not being topdog, even if the union was a balanced trading union only like it was supposed to be
