>How does this work?

>It works like a community toy chest. In the /coc/ threads you are free to post whatever ideas/settings/characters you want, but you have to be OK with other people playing with them (tweaking them, putting them in stories, using them for things, etc.)
>There's no guarantee that what you post will catch on either.

>If the OC you are posting is YOURS for something you are personally doing, then it would go to the "How is your webcomic?" threads.
>If you just want feedback on an OC of yours, then it would go in the "donut steel" threads or drawthreads.

In other news, /aco/ is making GG comics... that aren't porn!

Attached: 1560008434691.png (1030x760, 228K)

Good morning coc

>In other news, /aco/ is making GG comics... that aren't porn!
Yet.

Nope, it's even based off of one of the scripts in the pastebin.

In other OTHER news, Let's Make a Comic! user tried to do the 10th in the series, but it turns out being hit by that drunk driver fucked him up after all, so he needs to do physical therapy.

Crazy that GG's getting actual non-porn content from the porn crowd now. Part of me wishes some of the other concepts around here could have that level of activity, but I guess GG's just got the simplest eye-catch concept.Which is crazy, because there's so much weird bonus lore floating around now on top of that.

As you said, it's a simple concept. It's very self-contained most of the time, so that makes it easy to work with.
None of the meta-lore code extra-dimensional forces ever play a big role in any of the actual scripts, so it's not as confusing a mess as any of us who have been through all of the conversations would think it is.

I tend to only pay attention to the her as a sidekick humor parts.

It's a hard concept to take seriously when it tries to take itself seriously.

I'm always wary of pitching stuff that's in its own universe like that because I've seen that stuff bounce against these threads so much, but every once in a while something seems to click with the general anons.

>It's a hard concept to take seriously when it tries to take itself seriously.
Agree there. It's about a sidekick with silly huge tits for chrissake, serious lore is an awkward fit compared to the simpler, cheekier stuff.

If Silver Queen is with her, I think a straight-laced superhero approach is serviceable.
But there always needs to be a punchline, or word play, or ludicrous amounts of alliteration.
It just wouldn't feel right without that.

Right now I think GG just sort of had a mini-perfect storm between hagfish drawing a comic, the GG resource pack being re-discovered making lettering and typesetting easier, and an user who wanted to color it.

It's also her birthday at the end of the month.

What do you Think she'd want for her birthday?

A new tool set?

Attached: 1517757260408.png (2065x1545, 693K)

Super Strength, of course.... though she'd probably be quite happy with that tool set suggested

Attached: Golden Girl & Billy Rocker - Back Problems Color by Saburox.png (1044x952, 197K)

Someone cleaned up my comic

Attached: 1560611110443.png (2493x933, 1.83M)

Nice.

Attached: 1560595687541.png (836x579, 429K)

Attached: 1560597626579.png (1253x1733, 165K)

Attached: 1560598037616.png (1253x1733, 79K)

I think it would flow better if the "Silver Queen is the unofficial leader" line were placed int it's own letter box at the start of the panel.

earlier version had that

Attached: 1560549121712.png (1253x1733, 1.72M)

Do think that flows a bit better since it establishes SQ's authority at the start of the panel.

Is that a design for Great Glory II?

Nope. That's OG Glory.
There's no art of Glory II

Damn that sucks. Maybe some other drawfag can finish the thread.

He's still going to do it, just not until after he's feeling better. So I'd guess a month or more from now.
He did post the covers for the first six issue, so I've updated the mega link on the wiki for volume one.

Oh, she just looked younger than her other art I guess.

That's my bad.

I wasn't thrilled about the diagonal panel thing myself, but the pacing might very well be better from splitting off the first sentence. Or at least I'd consider adding in a comma after "unofficial leader".

She could always become Great Glory II.
And the letter box doesn't need to be diagonal if that's an issue.

But that's just my opinion, it'll turn out looking good either way when it's all finished.

People didn't like it that way, so I changed it to be all in one box at the bottom.

He's lucky it's just physical therapy. Hope he's ok. Female friend of mine was killed by a drunk driver coming back from a muscle competition in vegas decades ago. Of course the drunk driver was fine.

He came out of it without a scratch despite his car being flipped, I guess the effects were delayed onset.

He's had it rough lately.

>Yea Forums is incapable of making anything but generic fetishshit
god i wish this was a good board

I think it's more that anyone interested in that left long ago.

Fuck off this is the first time GG's dominated discussion in over three months. Maybe if you idiots had ideas that could actually attract drawfags you'd get some content.

Glad he's mostly ok. Hope he has a speedy recovery.

I haven't written anything GG in a while. Not sure if the user doing the Yea Forumsle editing will be in this thread.

Last GG thing I was working on was the Jade Empress' intro comic. It's in the pastebin I think.

Anyone feel like helping me finish that?

LMAC isn't generic fetish shit.

Great/Grand Glory is meant to be an aging hero who peaked during the WWII era.
Great Glory II is an adult hero that is meant to be either Grand Glory's original ward or Girl Glory's mother. Her whereabouts are unknown.
It's tied into goofy Comics Code lore shit that I'm pretty sure no one wants to discuss this week.

That basically boils down to "Hey Gal Glory, how's Granny Glory doing?"
"Who?"
And then Olympian opens up the "people being scraped out of reality" plot which the Bullion saga tackles.

But anyway, are there any unfinished scripts we should finish while the topic of GG is current again?

huh,
Pastebin seems to note it was the first Glory that disappeared.
Found that note when I was trying to find anything on Roller Betty, of which there isn't anything in there other than her having disappeared as well.
A bit ironic now that I think of it.

Somebody did a crossover with BQ and GG involving the Jade Empress, is that anywhere?

No one ever wrote a Roller Betty intro so I was never able to include it in the pastebin. She just sort of popped into existence via misc. art.

There's only one sort of script out there involving her stealing hair jel on the fly when Jade Empress swipes Billy's magic comb, but I still have to hunt that down.

I don't remember that at all.

I'd be interested in seeing her in some work
It's fun to see a little of that fifties flare pop up in the comic.

What would her intro be i wonder?

Attached: 4f17a03fa36c3868a9f2909141c12f6ec05cfd92.png (711x887, 283K)

Found it. Put it in a pastebin.

pastebin.com/ZckhdxZs

Her intro...

OK, so how about GG is fighting Billy and it spills out into one of those restaurants where Betty works? She digs his look and and what he does so she decides she wants to partner up with him.

I don't know how much detail can be put into it.
Should she be dissatisfied with her pay and Billy someone made is so she got more money?

So next time Billy and GG are fighting, she comes in for the save?

Ah, that would probably go into Breast Wars. BWII at that.

This a love at first sight thing, or a he lands on a terrible customer and he hands her the guys wallet as a tip as she helps him up, only to be smitten by his music as he battles GG thing?

I don't think so, seems pretty self-contained. Like a 1 shot story. BW2 is totally uncharted territory, not sure if there's really enough to work with. I mean you can easily make a crossover with all the shit we have but Breast Wars 1 was called that because it started and ended in the BQverse.

Probably the latter.
Betty doesn't have much characterization yet, so I don't have a good feel for what she'd do or what she would like.

Maybe Betty doesn't get to keep the wallet because of GG, starting her animosity towards her?

so from those dog-shit awful colors, i'm assuming this is cosmic, right? and i'm not even talking about just that green
why do /aco/ shitposters get all high and mighty about their spam threads, then come here expecting the same?

I do not understand what you hope to gain with a post like this.

Get better at memeing, faggot. It's pretty obviously not Cosmic.

Think the green is temp for the background.

My guess would be this stuff isn't quite porny enough to be posted there.
Doesn't seem like they have much room to be high and mighty since this is the same site no matter what board they are on. Everyone else on the internet generally looks down on us.

I think the twins could work either as chalk white/coal black or as normal human skin colors.
But if it's just down to asking for personnel preferences, I think natural skin tones look better while letting the clothes do the contrast exaggeration.

They aren't characters I've ever put too much through into, but I've never thought of them as actual twins, just a pair that complimented each other.

>Pastebin seems to note it was the first Glory that disappeared.
I'm just going by memory, but I think Glory II's disappearance is a separate but related issue to Grand / Glory I's Bullion-era story.

>She just sort of popped into existence via misc. art.
She popped into existence as an expy of a certain other character that could be used freely within the Developing Adventures universe (see image)... but with a more Code-compliant bustline...?

The general gist of her character is hot tempered, violent and generally more aggressively criminal (and competent) in nature compared to Billy's more devil may care attitude.
She's dissatisfied with her lot in life and ready and eager to crack heads to get what's hers.

Attached: u kno who it is.jpg (600x936, 114K)

I do not think there is any correlation between those two characters.

>those two characters.
which ones?

Betty and Panda.

i understand and appreciate making a comic series about a loli-oppai under the guise that its merely a joke, but we're just tap dancing on the nose with it here

Attached: there is correlation between these two characters.png (325x752, 217K)

What's wrong with that?

Learn something new every day...

You're a real jackass, now aren't you. That's a wip and that green is just a placeholder block-in before the colorist/inker flats and colors it.

wew

oh...
Yeah i think i see it now

From the pastebin:
>It's like how when a character's book is cancelled, they tend to disappear, or when a company loses the rights to a character and they fall into the public domain.
>Because Audrey and Iris are code immune, they actually remember these people and begin investigating together. It's also when Iris becomes Foresight using tech she got from the future
>They begin to unravel the veil the cosmic censors authority has blanketed the world with for decades.
>The plot kicks off with Olympian, the talking fox, trying to find people who remember Great Glory I. She has disappeared without a trace or even a memory, not even Great Glory II or III remember her.
>Olympian goes to ask Silver Queen about it and she has no recollection of her either despite being in WWII together. Audrey overhears this and does remember Granny Glory.
>Great Glory I got disappeared because she's an old war propaganda hero who was "retired" from use probably because she fell into public domain.

Yeah, it seems only Glory 1 disappears and only once it gets to the Bullion Era which I tend to avoid due to the heightening complexity of the story and lack of humor. So seems like Glory 1 would still be around in Golden Girl.

I don't know, we can change it to Glory 2 if you want. Doesn't seem like it would hurt anyone.

Bullion era is kind of where we shove all the meta and deepest lore stuff so the girl era can remain a simple gag-a-day comic.

So the plan is "Ignore It"
I can live with that

Was there a story behind this artwork?

Attached: efdb8d322ecc8453b9b3cf8b0b818940e608524d.png (1210x795, 271K)

Reference to bikini cowboy I think.

Pretty much. Until the time comes where someone wants to do something with that era.
Until then, not relevant.

>and lack of humor
More because we haven't done any actual writing for it. Breaking the Code is the big arc, but I still see Bullion's comic as an ongoing stretching from the 60s to whenever is appropriate for Audrey to progress to Golden Guardian, so there's still plenty of room for non-story-arc stuff in there.

only those that truly have what it takes to join the top ranks of our crack team of turbo-autists are considered for contributor candidacy to the crown jewel of /coc/ known as the Developing Adventures of Golden Girl: Bullion Era timeline.

do (You) have what it takes, user?

I remember some discussion about making part of Iron Girl's undercover persona a surfing enthusiast, and she actually grew to honestly like it.

I think I remember some jokes about her surfing all the way from the mother land.

I remember that too, and actually liked the idea... and she developed her "surfer girl" accent because she arrived on a beach and hear the teens speaking and thought her accent was wrong.

So she infiltrates via submarine and the first native American she hears speak are surfer dudes.

Is it russian accent with surfer lingo, or full on surfer girl accent?

It's a Russian accent doing a comical impersonation of a surfer accent.

Well let's see if the thread can make it the full weekend this time.

arise

So as I understand, her undercover identity is a born american, or an exchange student?

Attached: IG_disreputable.jpg (911x1000, 467K)

I don't think that was ever fully discussed. Her undercover identity should be full american, but she still let's her mixed accent out... and only GG, Iris and, maybe, Billy, take notice of it.

Also nice Iron Girl impersonating GG!!!

What would be Billy's interactions with her?

she wouldn't have any without given reason.

Born American undercover identity.
No one questions her accent since she says she just moved to Platinum City from somewhere else in America.

If they're at the same school, or even the same class, and Billy senses something is off with her, then presumably they would have to interact at some point.

Attached: disreputable2.jpg (818x1000, 598K)

She'd probably wonder how he's able to know she isn't Golden Girl whenever she impersonates her.

Do you think it would be more interesting if civilian him or super villain him pointed out he can tell the difference?
Or even one then the other
"Oh, it's you again"

Super villain him has more room for shenanigans I think.

>She'd probably wonder how he's able to know she isn't Golden Girl whenever she impersonates her.
These are the kinds of things that build up slowly.
Billy has enough boob-radar to gravitate toward Audrey and GG and be off-put by IG, but not enough smarts to put 2 and 2 together.
(Putting the pieces together is Iris' thing.)

Katya at most would have questions, but should always be just "too busy" enough (staying on Mission) to actually address this issue directly.

Aren't there already comics in the bin that do this?
Billy can tell the difference between a fake GG and the real GG.
He cannot discern IG's civilian cover as Katya. Only Iris and Audrey can do this. (Both are keeping this information to themselves in hopes of learning about the bigger bad behind her.)

In all cases, the giveaway between fake GG and real GG-- is the ears. Special exception being Silver Queen, who can tell the difference due to Katya's inverted freckle pattern.

The freckles reveal is still funny to me.

Was thinking less of him figuring it out, more of him thinking she's a birthday impersonator gone bad or something.
Just enough for him to know something is wrong, but not enough to give him any real credit

Is it because her ears are bigger or smaller than ogGG?

I think their ears should always be drawn the same size, but only Audrey's ears are ever thought of as being big.

A birthday impersonator?

You've never gotten Elvis for your Birthday?
I don't think he was the real one.

Oh, is that what you meant? I was thinking Billy was thinking someone hired a stripper for him.
But who would do that? And it wouldn't make sense given his age and the time period.

>haven't been in a /coc/ thread in forever
>see people making comics of Golden Girl again
>brief relief sigh that it's not the Yea Forums comic I was adapting to a webcomic
>still have Audrey as a minor background character tho
I mustn't change what I've made based on the development of others... but it feels odd.

Attached: 20190616_140449.jpg (1912x2549, 2.09M)

Is he holding an entire sandwich with chopsticks?

Yes, he's just that Japanese.

Here's the finished comic collab that /aco/ started...and it's blue board safe.

It turned out great. Good job to those guys who made it.

Like a perfect little storm. Those are always fun to watch unfold.

I updated the plus4chan thread with the new comics.
Took the script off of the pastebin now that it has been drawn.
Found and added Billy and Betty getting robbed by Jade Empress.
Added the BQ crossover link.

I think that's everything that needed updating, unless I've missed some new GG scripts anywhere.

Had a lot of fun working on this. I'd be down for doing it again if people are interested in doing such collaborations.

Good man. I'm curious, is anyone bothering to update the co/nservatory wiki page?

We'd need someone like SaburoX to drop in again and clean up the sketches you'd do. I don't mind lettering it up again and cleaning up panels etc.. Did that for that stip format one Azul did too.

I enjoyed working with you and SaburoX and our unnamed WriterAnon.

Sweet! Thanks for that.

I'm also the wiki admin.

It doesn't look like there's anything I need to change on the wiki entry. I already added the hotdog clown to the list of villains a while ago.
There's already links to the pastebin and plus4chan comic thread on The Developing Adventures of Golden Girl page.

I made the thread on plus4chan because the gallery on the wiki was getting too long and I don't want wikia staff doing things again because they don't tell me when they go changing things.

So how do you think Silver Queen and Jade Empress' first fight went down?

Wow
It was fun getting to see this come together
Hope I'm able to contribute to these in the future

You're doing GG art and comics, so you're already contributing. Don't be down or hard on yourself.

It was pretty surprising seeing someone draw a script from the pile. Then even more so to see inspiration and collaboration snowball from there leading to more comics.

Yea Forums's been more productive this year than in a long time.

LMAC user has been raising up the bar.

She could always add her father came from one of those small fictional fake East European countries, also explaining her last name.

>their ears should always be drawn the same size
This.
Their ears are the same size, their only real physical difference are hair and eye color, freckles pattern and bust size. However, the Comic Code changes everyone's perception of the boobs for the ears (It's like a follow-up of when people compare GG and Audrey).

By the Bullion and Golden Guardian era, I imagine everyone reacting to Iron Girl (Assailant) like: "Hey, their ears are actually the same size!"

I think it works better if everyone is just dumb enough to buy it, making Iris feel even more angry over the very obvious Russian spy just blending in as if it were no big deal.

They could say Golden Guardian grew into her ears.

Does Audrey even retain her secret identity in the Guardian era? I've been working under the impression that she doesn't and becomes a public hero like She Hulk or the Flashes.

I think there was a push for her to become a reporter as her adult secret identity, but I don't think it stuck.

The Bullion and Guardian eras are still pretty nebulous.

Yeah I'm pretty firmly on team mechanic, myself.
In general I think not enough time is spent on Audrey's sciencing.

I was the one pushing for the reporter identity, since I liked the potential recurring gag of no one making the connection between Golden Guardian and the amazon on the news. Once the mechanic occupation gained strength, someone suggested making Iris's secret identity a reporter instead, and I am fine with that compromise.

Attached: 1520731067407.png (1785x2805, 590K)

Sterling Steel Works is a pretty prolific company, so is Audrey's affinity for mechanical mechanisms a boon to this business?

I remember seeing this image of Iron Assailant, wasn't she just going to be a techno armor version of Golden Guardian?

Attached: 6bbcd6f884b86a7bd2d60d17e2d075971694df2e.png (1378x2039, 346K)

I think it needs some paring down into something simpler. I know there's pushback to giving her cybernetics but I'd still cite Omega Red as a good starting point.

Is this really an Iron Assailant proposal?

This. Iron Assailant should be simpler and her face shouldn't be covered, as her main feature is having the same face as Audrey, after all.

>Is this really an Iron Assailant proposal?
It was pitched a couple months ago. No one really liked it because it was too bulky and concealing. She needs to be imposing, but that should come as much from her actual physique as the armor.

Pretty much, yeah.
Russian science trying to imitate the bracers magic and all.

The whole design is a work in progress still.
You can't think that it'll be just right on the first try every time.

Agreed the suit for Iron Girl, if she were to have one in Guardian era, should be far more open showing off her features. If they weren't internal cybernetics, I'd go for just parts that connected to a normal skintight suit that augmented her strength, but were more connected than just a pair of gauntlets and boots.

With all this talk of Iron Girl, maybe her intro script should be the next one considered.

But it's much longer than the SoS intro, so that'd be a more ambitions undertaking.

I advise taking Iron Assailant closer to Bane through the use of Drugs and a Soviet Training Regiment.
I favor the idea of Iris as a Librarian.

Maybe an alternative intro comic could be done for her, like similar to the SoS, it being just Audrey introducing her to the public with a pun at the end.

Eh...

I feel like it'd be more fun to hope for something ambitious than to settle for something... not as fun.
Iron Girl has that whole impersonator thing going, and that's not something that can be resolved, or should be resolved, in one story beat.

But how long is her story arc anyway? I remember a few Iron Girl scripts and ideas, but how long was she impersonating GG before becoming IG?

It's five "pages" long, but intended pages don't really translate well to actual pages, now do they?

It'd be more accurate to say it's five story beats long.

The first three story beats deal with the disguise and resolving that. The third beat ending with SQ punching IG in the face.
The fourth beat is her showing up at Audrey's school.
The fifth beat is just a normal stand-alone comic with her finally in her Iron Girl costume.

So really the first three beats are her intro and the final two are just establishing how she fit into the comic after that.

"Investigative" Librarian you say?

This thread went a lot better than last weekend's thread.
Can't deny that.

There was much to talk about.
A little sad that I think we chased away other creators with the GG talk
Hope they come back, variety make this threads more interesting.

the fourth and fifth beat can be easily adapted into a short comic, specially made from Iron Girl point of view.

Regarding the first 3, first beat is GG's first encounter with "IG as GG". Third beat is SQ revealing the freckles twist.
But what is the second beat about?

I also made a sketch without the armor.

Attached: DAM-Laika-Iron Assailant.png (2894x2039, 1.05M)

I have not made another Iron Assailant proposal. I can sketch another one base on your comments.
From previous threads, the concept for the Iron Assailant included: Robotic eye, faulds, tesla coil and bracers.

Also, more cleaning for the cover I made for the previous thread.

Comments/critique are appreciated

I doubt anyone would complain about more art.
Nice work there!

>Aubrey's super aware of her chest
>Katya is oblivious to having thighs that could crush a Sparrow's egg

>faulds, tesla coil and bracers
I remember these ones
>Robotic eye
Don't remember any discussion of this, still looks cool, what was the story behind it?
Great design for IA, I don't know if she needs a weapon, though... I always imagined IA to be more inclined to using her fists.

Also, where did her assistant/companions came from? What is their backstory?
Love their designs.

This, please this.

Who are some of the biggest and most noteworthy public domain superheroes/supervillains/etc.? I've got a project in the early stages and I'm thinking about using popular golden-silver age public domain characters as historical figures.

Attached: Fantomas-mortquitue.jpg (250x375, 29K)

The companions are from my first sketch for the Iron Assailant.
Laika is the cosmonaut dog that came back mutated and became a secret agent for the URSS with the mission to find Hitler's brain before it's install on the robotic body, Hitler II.
Decommissioned Apeman is the only successful creation from Stalin's Human-Ape hybrid super soldier program.

Attached: IA-LAIKA-DAM.png (1748x1181, 886K)

What other animals would Russians have tried to improve?
My first thought is bears.

Cherno: A giant mutated bear with the power to explode.

Do they have a Unit/Team Name?
Like OGB (Otryad Gosudarstvennoy Bezopasnosti, Squad for State Security)? Some could just call Soviert Squad

There's no name yet. I like the OGB, sounds like something along the lines of La Squadra di Esecuzione

American Student: I like your accent. Where you from?
Katya: Rus... (internal panic)
American Student: ...
Katya: Rus-Ruston, Louisiana. That's vhere my accent it's from, comrade-PARTNER! (loud sweating)
Later in the night
Katya: Entry 02. Zee american teenagers zon't suspect a thing...

>Great design for IA, I don't know if she needs a weapon, though... I always imagined IA to be more inclined to using her fists.
Same here, though I also imagined the tesla coils in her bracers can fire electric blasts to give her some ranged capability.

I love how adorkable she is... ... ...can we do that? Make her adorkable, considering the Code and her Villain status.

I liked that idea of Katya "befriending" Audrey as part of her undercover identity, because Audrey was, in her eyes, the "prime example of the classic american girl", so she was the best match to pair with... and Audrey kind of just went along with it to keep her sheningans a little bit more in control.

Wasn't there also an idea of, by the Bullion era with the Code breaking, for Katya to actually start caring about Audrey as a geniune friend, leading to some of her anti-villain moments?

As long as we don't actually make her sympathetic. I would characterize it more as "villain who takes themselves way too seriously" than adorkability.

>No one questions her accent

[A FEW POSTS LATER...]
>American Student: I like your accent. Where you from?
bruh...

>akchoo-uhly, the American Student was referring to Katya's surfer lingo...

>the concept for the Iron Assailant included: Robotic eye, faulds, tesla coil and bracers.
I don't really follow the Bullion stuff all that close.
Isn't the gimmick of the premise that these are supposed to be heroes from the 70's/early 80's?
Like, Audrey is supposed to grow up to be some kind of She-Hulk / Nightwing hybrid, right?

Why are tesla coils part of Iron Ass' concept?

Attached: debut-of-nightwing-in-tales-of-the-teen-titans-44-illustrated-bygeorge-prezmike-decarlodi.jpg (1300x1913, 816K)

>Iron Ass
Made me chuckle... as some say Iron Assailant should be all ass and thighs in comparison to GG...

The tesla coils stuff came because when Golden Girl became Golden Guardian she inherited SQ's Bracers... in parallel, based on her research about the magical ocurrences in Platinum City, the URSS perfected a technology to counter the Bracers' powers and armed Iron Assailant with them, who in the mean time was both trained and enhanced to become as big as GG (sans the boobs, of course). Tesla coils are just a trendy "science thingy" from the times, as Iron Assailant brings a "Science vs. Magic" element to the story.

Also, there is no clear answer about IG during Bullion's era... some say she disappear, other says she remains IG due to her inability to "escape the Code"

Those are just characters from that Rock Cocks webcomic.

Do we have an alternate design for Conrad that isn't just a straight ripoff of The Spirit?

Attached: conrad 1336798595121.jpg (800x577, 278K)

>Those are just characters from that Rock Cocks webcomic.
maybe those Rock Cocks characters are actually just Golden Girl characters the whole time.
maybe Brad and Leslie are lurking in the thread right now...
Suria's natrual hair color is hotter.

Not that I've seen

How about Dick Tracy?

Attached: doodle2018JUL15_evilette_and_yallow_jacket_conrad.jpg (778x1100, 134K)

The Bullion era is when she goes back to Russia with the intel she gathered on the bracers and undergoes the training and enhancements to become Iron Assailant. (Also, she’s bigger than GG, not just as big. The whole “villain is an even bigger version of the hero” archetype.)

>The whole “villain is an even bigger version of the hero” archetype.
But Sonic and Shadow are the same size?

Second beat is Iris "thwarting" IG by seeing through her disguise.

You know those scripts are all in the pastebin, right?

This is gonna be really corny, but I have this scenario in mind were Golden Guardian and Iron Assailant have to work together against a third party that has trick both the URSS and the US into launching their nuclear weapons.
They actually work great of eachother and succeed on deactivating the missiles, but Golden Guardian "dies".
They both recieve honors in their respective nations, IA gets a medal, for GG there's a national day of mourning.
Finally, we see Katya infront of a Golden Guardian monument (right next to the Silver Queen statue) pouring a glass of vodka, accepting Aubrey as her equal, both just girls fighting for their nations, reciting a poem or singing something like this: youtube.com/watch?v=Y_iCIISngdI

[F]

That sounds like a fun idea, but having Iris as a reporter is definitely more in line with her established character.
Is there a plausible reason why Audrey as a mechanic would be appearing in the news often?

But what's the punchline?

We'll add the punchline in post

If she's a mechanic, maybe she's head of one of Sterling Steelworks' big research and development branches and is making huge breakthroughs yearly.

No one comments because it looks good, but I'm not quite sure if I can follow what's happening without the color details.

That's like those Death of Superman/Batman stories were it's not canon only because the Yea Forumsmany wants to keep milking the character

I was thinking of what colors to use (after finishing the clean up) I'll post the palettes here of course, I don't want to use the most "obvious" color, like for example, I would prefer if ManFly wasn't red and green, but sometime the obvious answer is the right one.
I also have plans for another cover "Ladybug meets The Mothman" like pic related but with Ladybug carrying away a civilian.
Is the Yea Forumsmpany a cosmic being that can change the canon if it doesn't fit the big picture?

Attached: mothman-drawing-eyewitness-8.jpg (800x611, 97K)

Aubrey does the Captain America 1990 thing where she diverts a rocket she's tied to from hitting the White House because the counterweight of her boobs is enough to throw it off course.

Massive Spoiler Alert: There are no "boob jokes" in the Bullion Era due to the fact that Audrey is no longer disproportionately endowed as a 6+ foot tall amazon. It's a straight-forward comic scenario about an buxom amazon crimefighter investigating the mysterious serial disappearances of a several key persons from the past and only her and a handful of her pals know they're gone.

Actually, she’s in-between her Golden Girl and Golden Guardian heights as Bullion.

>You know those scripts are all in the pastebin, right?
And where from do you think I knew what the 1st and 3rd beat were about?
I was just not sure about the 2nd one was, there are quite a few Iron Girl ideas floating around

Think it might be a decent idea to shrink Audrey a few inches. Maybe like 6'1" as an adult. That way Iron Assailant can be like 6'4" and have some height on her but not be comically gargantuan.

They are listed in order under "Iron Girl saga" in the pastebin.

There is some organization in there.

Never liked Agent Laika. Overdone premise and we already have the Yeti. Plus laika's design is so bland. Ape is kinda similar but at least a little more interesting then werewolf/dogperson.

BTW Thanks for the art and the time you've put into the ideas for the characters.

Is correct Shes muscly and a bit taller but not the huge amazon that Guardian is.

Most of my friends are 6'4"-6'6"
It's hard for me to think of someone that height as gargantuan

Well you're living in an extreme exception.

Her outfit is also much more 90's than her Guardian design is. Crop jackets and pouches are not really a 70's/early 80's aesthetic.

Someone once tried to make the same change and was soundly shut down. Starfire and Caitlin Fairchild are both 6’4”. It’s a properly amazonian height.

Wonder Woman is literally an Amazon and she's 6 foot flat.

Thanks, man. I like to put stuff out here, but I'm also glad when people comment on the designs, I have alot of improvement to do. We can always rework Laika.

That is very true. Gewd-boi did a nice interpretation of it.

>Gewd-boi did a nice interpretation of it.
It's not a bad look, it's just really out of line with the time period.

it fits the 90's ear when dick became nighwing and that's what the design was going for. Golden Girl is the 50's stuff, Nightwing era is the 90's edgy/rebel stuff and Golden Guardian is after that, from what I've read and seen in these threads.

Course as a rebel it makes no sense for her to have the bracers yet like Gewd-boi drew.

>Never liked Agent Laika. Overdone premise and we already have the Yeti. Plus laika's design is so bland. Ape is kinda similar but at least a little more interesting then werewolf/dogperson.
^ agreed. all of the above.

I was under the impression that the Yea Forumsmpany is what made the code and deletes characters.
It's like Batman or the Question trying to figure out what DC is, just a bunch of lazy editors who never bothered to read the canon before putting out a new story after years of being consistant at some point.

>Nightwing era is the 90's edgy/rebel stuff and Golden Guardian is after that
Audrey is a 50's teen. She'd be a 50+ year old "edgy rebel" in the 90's. It makes more sense for her to be an early 80's character in keeping with the time all the "sidekick" characters actually split with all their mentor heroes.

Sliding comic timeline. She can still be Golden Girl well into the 80s and not a day older than her 50s counterpart.
Same way there's been five Robin's and Dick Grayson is still not the second Batman.

Guys, can we not talk about time lines and the exact dates and shit? It's the same conversation every time and that is one of the topics that always seems to wear out the welcome for GG discussion.

Also, if there's just one thing I wish I could impart on anyone involved with /coc/: we are NOT beholden to any real world events. We don't have to have things take place in the 80s/90s for them to be edgy, we don't have to wait until "modern day" to get some sort of technology that hadn't been invented yet.

Take what is fun or interesting from the time line, ditch what is boring and not entertaining.

And leather jackets and stuff were a greaser thing, and that was considered to be the rebel teen look of the time. It didn't just end with the 50s or 60s, that shit persisted up to the 80s and then some.

Comic time vs real time is irrelevant Batman would be dead of old age by now and yet he's still going strong as a mid 30's type. Same with nightwing and his various iterations.

This is true. It just became far more mainstream in comics during the late 80's and 90's as it was seen to be "edgy". Same with the liefield pouches.

Wow. Seems like you have enough to make Agent Laika her? own Comic Book.

>we are NOT beholden to any real world events.
with the exception of World War II, 9/11 and the Obama presidency.

Only when they're important.
On the flip side, anyone touching those older projects on plus/coc/?
Who is Roller Betty and what is her story?
How's Lucky Ladybug? What's her motivation?
Are there any actual striies about the Soroity of Sentinals?
Did anyone actually want to write a GI Joe story about the og Great Glory or other war heros?

>Are there any actual striies about the Soroity of Sentinals?
There's that one story where a clothing-eating alien goop monster gets loose in the SoS tower and strips everyone to their underwear...

In /coc/ 9/11 didn't happen, instead we got a localized magical apocalypse.
We've never touched on presidents in /coc/; if they aren't bad enough dudes to save themselves from underwater prisons, then I don't think they're even worth talking about.

Roller Betty is Billy's number one fan and stalker, like his Harley Quinn.
Lucky Ladybug? You mean Lovely Ladybug? Still a comic, still being made.
I don't know if there are any SoS stories. I think there might have been one where the Mars Princess takes GG to space and there was a zero-G pun, but I can't remember the specifics. There was also the beginnings of an idea for Crimson Cat being attacked by Jade Empress, but that didn't go anywhere as far as I know.

>In /coc/ 9/11 didn't happen, instead we got a localized magical apocalypse.
but Golden Girl isn't /coc/.
Golden Girl is a series of comic book stories that exist within the /coc/ universe. Yea Forumsnrad collects them, supposedly.

Bullion was never in the 90s. Last I checked, she became Bullion in the 60s since that’s when teen heroes like Spider-Man, the X-Men, and the original Teen Titans came into vogue.

If like to do something with Betty roller
I saw some talk of maybe her intro.

Is there anything else people would like to see her do?

Steal Scrooge McDuck's number 1 dime.

>Golden Girl is a series of comic book stories that exist within the /coc/ universe.

Good, I was worried for a second.

Be mechanically inclined and get into street races.
Gives GG a rival in that department.

Betty is more interested in street racing as a spectator rather than a participant. She does all her rolling on her feet.

Betty's interests are gymnastics and baseball. she's not a particularly exceptional athlete but she can pull off flips and cartwheels without breaking a sweat. She's got a bit of a latent action-junkie streak to her. She doesn't participate in extra-curricular activities on account of her bad attitude. She made the cheerleading squad but was soon kicked off due to a physical altercation between her and a squadmate.

She kept the cheerleader outfit, though... no one has the guts to ask her to return it.

Her home life is particularly pitiful and she probably attends a really shoddy public school in the bad neighborhood due to busing/zoning regulations.

She's a big fan of celebrities and movie stars. In Billy she sees the kind of star-power that can take them all the way to the top. And she's ready and willing to do whatever it take to make that happen.

Roller Betty strikes me as the type who steals cars, super charges them, goes fast, is aggressively competitive and possessive, and has a mean pitch in baseball.

If that's her nightwing era, which is all I ever hear her bullion phase referred to than it has to be late 80's to 90's as nighwing didn't become nightwing until the 90's. Having it be the 60's makes no real sense as nothing rebellious really happened then with sidekicks at all.

>Betty strikes me as the type who steals cars, super charges them, goes fast, is aggressively competitive and possessive, and has a mean pitch in baseball.
Nah, you're thinking of Betty Cooper.

Her career isn’t a one-to-one parallel to Dick’s. We call it her Nightwing phase because it’s when she strikes out on her own. There’s no drama with Silver Queen that causes it, it’s just her growing up.

And think: what is the point of reintroducing a Communist villain like Iron Assailant AFTER the fall of Communism?

Though you are correct that there were a lot of teen's on their own comics starting up around then.

Communism haz nyet fallen... eet merely stumble. Too much vodka wiv Gorbachev.
Zee Iron Curtain vill vize agahn!!

Interesting how we both think she'd have connections to baseball since I didn't see your post before making mine.

I don't remember there being any pics or discussion of her to indicate the connection prior to now.

Think she might go as far as being the flag girl for the start of the race?

definitely.

probably the reference to Harley Quinn earlier in the thread. could be a mutual shared interest in seeing Betty in one of those old-timey women's baseball outfits...

The only thing that really sticks in my mind with old-timey women's baseball teams is the line "I have to squat in that." in regards to the skirt from that movie I don't remember the name of.

Wonder Woman was created in a time when people were shorter in general.

Personally I like the idea of her being rip and tear huge.

Attached: mother russia makes you strong.png (994x2269, 281K)

Now that's what I'm talking about! Full-on "I must break you."

Stronk indeed.
I imagined her more like one of those Olympic athletes, but this is also good.

What if being an Olympic athlete was her cover?

I recall someone pitched the idea that she'd work in demolition. Getting paid to literally tear down capitalism.

Who's the artist?

Comments. This is a character who's one joke revolves around every memeber of his family being a different incarnation of David Bowie. His Dad is Union Jack era Bowie, his mom is Ziggy Stardust era Bowie and he is the Thin White Duke.

Attached: Lothal_family_tree.png (2000x1600, 470K)

Now you're cookin with gas.
Bonus points if she isn't as tall as Aubrey, but her boots give her the lift to match because Mother Russia always provides for her children.

>AFTER the fall of Communism
I think it is in a similar idea to Hydra in Marvel, she doesn't work just for the ideal itself, though it is used as part of her "education", but to the remnants of the Soviet Higher Ups.

There were some ideas of her causing a rebellion in Russia after witnessing the corruption of the Soviet Government (due to the lack of Code in Golden Guardian era), to establish a "True Communist/Socialist Paradise".

Holy sh*t!! This is fantastic!!!

Geez.
I had a different idea for her outfit but this is some prime slab of Katya you're serving here.

Well....draw it!

Busy...

Don't complain if it never sees the light of day then.

Hopefully this artworks will lead to more artworks and stories around Iron Girl and Iron Assailant.
I love the "Evil Counterpart" trope, so I really enjoy the Iron Girl concept

I think it'll be okay.

little late to the party, but collabing on this one. wanted to make a faux comic cover.
is there an official Logo/title that would be used on a comic cover? or as close to official as it would get?

Attached: gg comic cover.jpg (1000x1412, 170K)

Neat.
There's something that fits that description in the asset pack I think.

mega.nz/#!Cwkk0KKC!q2TXW1VzQ8FhI8Ljn7ksmwGM0wnA6tlv2wGGSEVzycw

im writing a script for a comic, thatll probably be 12 issues/240 pages. its about a howard hughesslash tony stark[/spoiler] character who gets in a horrible plane crash and pieces of the plane, like the computer and and metal get fused to him, and he becomes some sort of metalironman. he joins a group of superheroes, who are all heavily based on the MCU avengers, in the early 1960s. he and another character have to decide if they want to be superheroes and save people or be sci-fi adventurers. itll be marvel vs dc in comics form. theyll come in contact with golden age superheroes who are my OC and/or public domain superheroes.

my original plan was to have the captain america character go full blown fascist and kill 7 million people and call himself the president of the united states but i felt that was too "watchmen"ish

ill post a link to the script if anyone is interested.

Attached: silver age superman.png (602x305, 412K)

well i royally fucked that spoiler up

Always nice to see more of your GG artwork! There are some mock up covers various people have done on the booru that you can take a look at. goldengirl.booru.org/index.php?page=post&s=list&tags=cover

Thanks for the references. I will sift through the mega when I get back home. Hopefully will have this finished before next discussion.

I think the folder predates this. I didn't see it in there.

Attached: ggu logos.png (2480x3808, 373K)

Cool.

I didn't make the asset pack, so someone else would have to update it.

The resources were created October 2015, so yes probably. Regardless. I intended it to ONLY be for creating GG comics - the correct sizes, files, tools and images necessary.

So would the cover be developing adventures of golden girl or the sorority sentinels ?

Nope, you brought it up
Have to draw it
Them's the rules

I can just post that image in the plus4chan thread so it's on hand for future reference.

Question:
Do Silver Queen and Golden Girl have a Bat-mobile like Car they drive around in?
2nd question:
Do you think Billy Rocker would steal it?
Last question:
Do you think Audrey would be able to use her mechanic skills to soup up a vehicle to go fast enough to go under cover and Challenge Billy to a drag race for the silver mobile back?

No reason, just wondering

They have a motorcycle:

I think she would desperately want to be a flag girl, but would get knocked back for whatever reason.
And she might try and sabotage the race and/or her replacement as a result.

Sure, I might give it a quick look through.

>I think she would desperately want to be a flag girl, but would get knocked back for whatever reason.
Meant for

its the first 10 pages

docs.google.com/document/d/1ivltTHtEYZASMwg7ZvNiLBGGWBoMNVBKb4j-QY8twE4/edit?usp=sharing

So do you know what fonts those are? I'm currently searching for Black Rose as an example and I'm not finding that exact font...close but not exact.

second.
very fine piece of art.

I only have two strong reactions to it.
1) Bare sounds like a fake surname. Very unnatural.
2) What you've written so far reads like a weird mashup of light hearted pulp pastiche and body horror. At the moment they don't integrate that well. I can't really give you pointers on how to make that work, but I think you need to give it some focus going forward.

I love this

Bare is a play on words for stark but yeah i feel you.

its gonna get more ''golden age" as it progresses, no more horror.

Found half the fonts for the various people listed in that image. Will have to separate and fill some of the others to try and get a more concise search but will have to do that another time.

"The Developing Adventures of" - Adventure
Golden Girl - Avengeance Mightiest Avenger
Silver Queen - CC Spills
Connie Cosmos - Crash Landing BB
Princess of the Stars - Mech Effects One LC BB (I think. It's definitely one of that family)
Black Rose - Sleuth Serif BB (But edited to fill in the interior lining)
Donna Dynamo - Worlds at War BB
Crimson Cat - Flyboy BB
Sorority of Sentinels - Justice (Justice Condensed Outline)

Golden Guardian - Americorps (Americorps 3D)

I can't remember which is "the sensational" in "the sensational silver queen" but it was probably another blambot font.

Thanks that helps out a lot!

The threads have been pretty dead for months, so I don't think anyone got chased away.

Attached: 139cbb.jpg (469x436, 76K)

Woah, you can't just post that on a blue board!

Something from the other GG thread that's currently up.

Attached: 1560846726845.jpg (1655x2346, 447K)

I love how imposing Iron Assailant looks.
Has this artist made any Iron Girl art?

I don't believe Saburo's drawn young IG yet, no.

This is done by SaburoX?

Yes, but he never signs his stuff.

Couldn't tell. It looks so very different from his usual stuff. Thanks for the confirm.

Were you not aware he's one of the major GG artists?

Yea I am, Have a huge folder of his stuff but his usual linework looks a bit different to me so I was rather surprised.

ooh. this is nice.

That is a pity... would love to see her in his style...

Ah,a that's collette. Ninja Collette.
