If you could only have one, which talisman would you take?
If you could only have one, which talisman would you take?
I forget what some of them do. Post a rundown of each powers.
dog talisman. i like invincibility perks.
tiger so neither of us have to be virgins
The snake one right? It got used the most
Rabbit probably. or horse.
also, they really strained themselves on Pig.
Probably would have been better if Pig Talisman granted luck (Pigs are about wealth and good fortune in chinese culture) but I don't know if they did that cursed stone episode before that and it might have been too similar.
Monkey. I would use to commit crimes (like stealing the other talismans from you) and never get caught.
Subtle powers related with the animals... and EYE BEAMS
Rabbit, super speed sounds awesome.
Besides i'd never trust myself with the snake talisman
Talismans were based on these specific stories, like a pig with eye beams or a rat animating a suit of armor were historical tales
>eye beams pig
gonna need sauce for this pasta
Rabbit. I'm kinda hasty.
The correct answer was, still is, and always will be to use the rat on a genie figure.
For real world use, Sheep (astral projection) is objectively the superior talisman.
It has a killer moneymaking potential, and it even comes with pseudo immortality which a lot of you retards seems to be so fond of.
Sheep is probably the second shittiest talisman after Tiger.
I've had sex
All the others are flashy gimmicks that will eventually get you noticed by the wrong kind of people. People that will disect you without hesitation to find out why you can do X.
Meanwhile, Sheep can earn you a fuckton of money via undectable (corporate) espionage and bodyjumping whenever your current body gets old/injured is effectively immortality without the drawdack of not being able to die when the universe implodes.
If you're some edgy 12 year old you can even fuck up people mentally by haunting their dreams.
Cool story bro.
Using sheep leaves you open to get gangbanged by any wandering spirits looking for any kind of vessel.
Alternatively, if your body gets displaced you are shit out of luck and stuck wandering forever between life and death. There's a reason the sheep has typically been seen as a negative talisman to have in most if not all of the episodes that use it. It's only JUST above Tiger because playing Freddy Kruger might be fun for a while while tiger literally has no positive applications by itself.
>real world use
>wandering spirits
Pick one.
As for displacement, just don't be a retard. Lock yourself in a panic room or something similar before sheeping out.
This takes us into a conversation of whether or not spirits exist in the real world and the afterlife which I'd rather not have.
Either way, I would imagine that if you have a sheep talisman, this puts you in a universe with spirits since you yourself would have to separate yours from your own body with it's use.
>Dog: Immortality, limited invulnerability (Season 3 dog gets shot by Daolon Wong's fireball and isn't harmed at all)
>Rooster: Levitation, telekinesis
>Rabbit: Super Speed
>Ox: Super Speed (sometimes manifests as a weird muscle growth fetish thing)
>Snake: Invisibility
>Pig: Heat Vision, Thermal Scanning
>Dragon: Combustion
>Rat: Brings objects to life (might need to be human-like)
>Sheep: Astral projection; flight/invisibility/phasing while in Astral state, but your body is helpless and can be possessed or sealed off from re-entry by magic
>Horse: Healing
>Monkey: Shapeshifting into/from animals
>Tiger: Balances the talismans; separates the holder into Yin and Yang if it breaks
Doesn’t the rat let you bring anything to life?
Why wouldn’t you pick that one?
Horse. Its more versatile and you can make good cash from it
Rat is the Max Risk Max Reward talisman. You can get something super broken but if you can't control it then shit's fucked for everybody. Its also kind of vague when things inherit their ideal powers and when they listen to you.
The one that lets me fulfill my /d/egenerate fantasies of course.
The show peaked in, I want to say the season 2 premiere, when they had the big fight with all the talisman slapstick.
Rabbit always seemed the most busted to me, but Rooster is a good second pick.
Any answer that's not dog or snake is wrong
>like a pig with eye beams
>ancient folkloric story
W-what?
Why do you think muslims don't eat bacon?
You're not wrong. It picked up about halfway through season 1, dipped a bit into season 2, and was starting to get outright lazy by season 3.
Dog also give eternal youth.
Rat talisman seems more useful though
Bring a magic dog to life.
Dogs are very loyal.
>Pick rat talisman
>get statue of genie
>bring statue to life
>Earn 3 wishes
>PROFIT!!!!!
Basically any item retains it's intended powers and characteristics.
Ergo, if you were to sculpt some OC waifu who has the powers of a genie and who's character is to do everything you say well, now you're pretty much god.
Rat is enormously broken to the point that it would be retarded to pick anything else especially since it means you could just have any or every talismans's power through the rat.
Basically this.
like what? animating sex dolls? a bike, so you don't have to pedal?
would I get older if I had the dog? I might take the dog if immortality includes eternal youth
maybe the horse if not
Probably though Uncle was able to regain his youthful reflexes with the dog so it's not really clear. The extent of Dog's abilities were buffed and nerfed throughout the show.
If rat can do that then why didn't anybody do that?
Because then the show ends.
Anything that you use it on becomes a real version of it. I could animate a statue of Superman and we would have a real superhero. Or given more time some creature who would obey me.
So monkey
Rat is still the best for even that actually.
i like horse because I could heal people
Horse is probably the most useful for day to day stuff.
Snake for the obvious reasons
