Apparently the reason this show was so overacted is because they mostly hired theatre actors who are used to projecting and playing up performances on stage.
shouldn't the voice director have had some say in their performances? and has any cartoon in existance ever had such fucked up janky looking animation with constant off model and scaling errors and no shading continuity to speak of? floaty and choppy and nothing has any weight to it, a complete eyesore

I know this sounds like the internet meme "Childhood is when you idolize Batman. Adulthood is when you realize the Joker makes more sense", but, as I get older, more and more I'm beginning to sympathize with the powerless humans in the X-Men universe.
Maybe it's because I realize I'm not a special snowflake like the mutants like I thought I was when I was a child. Or probably because I see the mutant issue now as more akin to gun control or WMDs. Either way, the humans are the faction I root for more now.
The problem is that nobody would be able to animate a reboot. their remake idea is also probably doomed to fail because unless it pastel color simple shapes, nobody can do it in the west. And I'm pretty sure Mir is booked until 2040 at this point.

I've never seen X-Men: The animated series. Is it good? I kinda wish Wolverine and the X-Men got a revival because that series begs for one after leaving off on a cliffhanger.

I still don't understand why Muties get offended when powerless normies tell them they don't want to be near them when they inevitably chimpout or lose control of their powers. If these muties freak out over someone openly carrying a firearm right beside them, then should know that's how most normies feel about them with their powers. It's that simple.
It's a great series. If you have time, you should watch it. I'm sure it will be a bit different today, but back when it aired, it was glorious. I like it enough to buy animation cels from it. Apocalypse is the best. His voice actor was the perfect choice. I hate niggers and Jews.
