Fuck Batman > Tranny Patrol > SJW Thing
The Tranny Episode made me drop the show. Pure hackery there.
My biggest issue is that they seemed the need to remind you that Danny is genderqueer every single time they were mentioned, in case we forgot.
Good decade*
Is this Mr Pump?
It was a good show. Wish they kept Mr. Nobody more like his comics counterpart though
What the fuck are you on about. There’s nothing wrong with Swamp Thin.
>I haven't read the comics and everything is automatically forced in because I didn't like it
the only people who dislike that stuff have their own problems with their own sexuality
I wanted to see the make up for Dorthy but Im actually pleased with the finale.
Don't respond to bait he's in almost every Doom Patrol thread he'll never learn.
>ArachnophobiaHuh.jpg
youre taking it out of context but i see your point
Be prepared for queers in the thread making the argument that not liking this show is some roundabout way of being confused about your own sexuality, or being afraid of whatever sexual degeneracy they're championing now.
Doom Patrol has shit writing, glacial plotting, and the queer tranny episode was dull even if you like that kind of crass degenerate behaviour.
Only reason I watched for as long as I did was Brendan Fraiser, but he'll be in other stuff. I wanted the show to be good but it's not.
>Be prepared for queers in the thread making the argument that not liking this show is some roundabout way of being confused about your own sexuality, or being afraid of whatever sexual degeneracy they're championing now.
hey thats me
This. But I didn't watch the show because I feel Fraiser was a poor casting choice.
I am a big fan of the show but since I binge watched the last half of the season in a day or two, I found it a little jarring like that other user. It has nothing to with reading the comic, I have, and I really like how they did Danny the Street. But each episode literally has someone say "a transporting, genderqueer street" or some other variation thereof.
Finish your fucking thoughts and statements user. Trailing off on your point makes you look like a retarded faggot who forgot to ask his mom to get his adderall refill
And the doom patrol finale was perfect
Even more retarded take here than op, congrats
>And the doom patrol finale was perfect
Fuckin' this.
OP go watch Luke Cage season 2, you may like it more
ha, classic example of snowflake being triggered.
Its gay pride month, go back to yell at rainbow things on facebook to our amusement.
It's a fucking sentient street. Why the fuck do you people care that it's gender queer or whatever? It's a fucking street.
This. Obviously a street will not have a clearly defined gender.
What was wrong with the season finale? I thought it was especially strong, considering that it played to the series’ strengths, allowed every character to have their moment to shine and to contribute while also wrapping up loose ends and introducing enough new ones to whet our appetite for the next season.
Danny being Genderqueer wasn't forced, I liked it, it was pretty interesting.
What was forced was every episode had at least one or two mentions of "Oh, btw Danny is Genderqueer, and if you don't know what that means you're part of the problem XD."
You fucked up A-Aron! Fraser fucking kills it as Cliff. Go check out some clips on YouTube and see for yourself. He deserves at least an Emmy nomination, but it won’t happen cause a) cape show and b) on a streaming service and not traditional tv.
People aren't complaining about the street not having a clearly defined gender, they are complaining that the writers clearly wanted to define that it had no clearly defined gender any chance it got with the finesse of a sledgehammer, which comes across as virtue signalling tokenism.
Having a gay character in your show is absolutely, but if you introduce him into every scene as "Hey look, it's gay Thomas! How are you doing gay Thomas, our gay friend, who likes men." it's a bit shit.
I liked the ending, although the Rat-Roach make out session was a bit of an "..Okay?" moment but I guess the writers thought it was funny that the day would be saved that way, I enjoyed the Penultimate episode a lot more, especially with the Mr. Nobody fuckery. My biggest fault with the finale is how impotent Mr. Nobody suddenly was for no visible reason. "Grr, she made my mouse really big so I'm immediately giving up!".
Fraser as cliff is fucking incredible as is Tudyk as Mr. Nobody. I very much enjoyed Rita Farr and Trainer but found Cyborg and Crazy Jane to be lackluster.
Dorothy also took away his powers, and he panicked without them. He needed a calmer head to be like “your narration powers still probably work.” Personally, I liked the Whiskers/Ezekiel bit cause it continued the trend of incredibly out there shit that the show has been subjecting us to. It was a “alright guys, this is the season finale. How fucking weird can we get?”
>People aren't complaining about the street not having a clearly defined gender, they are complaining that the writers clearly wanted to define that it had no clearly defined gender any chance it got with the finesse of a sledgehammer, which comes across as virtue signalling tokenism.
people are complaining about not knowing the source material because Danny speaks like the gayest of flamers.
You are this triggered by a drag queen?
Also: you don't understand the difference between a transvestite and a transsexual?
It was literally mentioned twice in the entire show.
You and me both. This guy was too pathetic.
I sincerely believe they’re gonna go with the Brotherhood of Dada in the next season, if there is one. Like, after being trapped in the painting with Beardhunter, he realizes it wasn’t pain he enjoyed causing, it was chaos and madness that he gets the most joy out of. Instead of just fucking the world and everyone in it, he decides what everyone needs is a heroic dose of LSD.
>crass degenerate behaviour
Ah. So you are so easily triggered a man in a dress makes you clutch your pearls (in a manner of speaking).
That's pretty pathetic.
>I feel Fraiser was a poor casting choice.
Oh! I can't agree.
>But each episode literally has someone say "a transporting, genderqueer street" or some other variation thereof.
I just watched it and they really don't.
Of course the 'genderqueer' part does not register with me because it is absurd. Danny is a street and streets have no gender or sex. These things are limited to a small group or organic beings.
>the doom patrol finale was perfect
It absolutely was not.
>Bring up a critical plot point and key character in the last half hour
>The villain of the piece squirted all his juice early and is now halfheartedly throwing in with the heroes to fight two oversized pieces of vermin
>He is nonetheless capable of freely manipulating them with his reality-altering powers
>Flex is just gone, mentioned in passing only
>It is not in any way explained just what the fuck Negative Man actually does. He exposes a barrier created by the Spirit to the radiation he produces and that... what? What does it do? How did he know it would do anything?
Bah.
I did watch it. I did like it. I wanted a third season to finish it.
That was not my experience at all.
Here's hoping. Make him a little more likable as well, please, instead of this pathetic asshole. Grandeur! Art!
And the Brotherhood!
I thought the show was really enjoyable. I can understand why someone would be turned off by gays or trannies, as they usually creep me the fuck out, but the episode played it pretty light. It made it seem goofy most of the time, and when it played serious, it was about negative man attempting to accept himself, which I find to be relatable on a human level. I thought Danny was fun and caring, and I liked that it wasnt pushed down our throats.
Everyone would be triggered by a pigeon shitting on their faces, because that's disgusting.
Now you get his point of view on drag Queens. People are disgusted by them because they look disgusting.
Drag Queens aren't transgender
Same here, I just finished it a few days ago. I LOVED the show but the ending just fell flat completely. It would've been better if it just ended with them finding out Niles created them.
Please stop interacting with this CHUD. It has no life and butts into every Doom Patrol thread to complain and bitch and whine. I tried talking to it once and all I achieved was wasting an hour of my time. CHUDs aren’t worth anyone’s time.
>Crazy Jane
>lackluster
are you retarded?
go back to chapo
the left cannot meme
The Left can’t meme because we have other things to do than whine on the internet all day.
Bullshit, otherwise you wouldn’t be here
>The left can't make le epic cringe 9gag phrases to spam threads with
Fixed
You just literally compared transvestites to shit.
Do you really expect to be taken seriously?
I kind of felt I should have stopped watching there.
Well... I felt the treatment of her molestation issues was a little hamfisted. Although DPD is often associated (ha ha) with sexual abuse.
>found Cyborg ... to be lackluster.
Really? Doom Patrol did what I thought was impossible to me: it made me give a shit about Cyborg. A character I literally could not have cared less about, up until now.
Also, the actor they got for Cyborg? SUPER British. He hides his accent really well.
I am really hoping they go with the Brotherhood of Dada next season, especially since Nobody was so close to saying it. "The Brotherhood of Dangerous Animals". Brotherhood of DA...
>the actor they got for Cyborg? SUPER British. He hides his accent really well.
Huh.
Same. They really sold me on Vic, not just as a member of the Doom Patrol, but as a character in general. Like, I had genuine feelings about his character arc to the point where [spoilers]him beating his dad to near death[/spoilers] ruined my day. Absolutely knocked it out of the part with Cyborg, and I wanna see him and Cliff be friends in the comics now.
Every. Fucking. Thread. Get a life, jerkoff.
There was some talk about an Emmy for that role.
It wasn't spectacular, I guess. But I thought it was alright. The episode before pretty much completed Nobody's arc and there was no other way to really go but loose. Given his backstory, it's fitting that he was booted out of his own villain team by a rat and a cockroach.
Now if this turns out to be a series finale instead of a season then I'll be bummed about them not going out on a grander scale.
I can see them going in that direction. Even though he faked them out in the end, I believe that emotional baggage stuff was legit and when it comes down to it, he's just as broken as the Doom Patrol. I could see him working through some shit and coming out a new and improved Nobody.
Fuckin snowflakes.
I think they they purposely withheld that due to not having someone cast in that role yet and maybe not wanting anyone they do cast to age in between shooting (as a second season isn't guaranteed and it could be a while). That and to save on the budget.
I think people are missing the point, Danny being a sentient street that not only has an idea of how genders work, but also being a non-binary one is part of the joke
The right IS the meme
>The right IS the meme
A meme that became a self aware bigot hivemind.
>I could see him working through some shit and coming out a new and improved Nobody.
nobody's whining here except you, hoss
WHEN THE SHIT GOES DOWN
The perfect song to wrap up the season
I really enjoyed the finale but it felt rushed. Like they needed an extra 30 minutes or so. I'm going to be upset if they don't get a second season after that ending though.
Doom Patrol Cyborg is the definitive live action Cyborg as far as I'm concerned. He was written and portrayed amazingly. Not only did Joivan Wade knock it out of the park as Vic but he did an impressive job echoing Alan Tudyk's Nobody in that one scene.
The first two episodes were good and then the rest were cold boogers served on a paper plate. Just because the comics are full of homosexuality and transexuals doesn't mean that makes it "okay" to flood the show with it.
Titans, Swamp Thing, etc... DC just can't get out of their own way and that's why Marvel will just keep on winning.
the songs were kino as fuck tho
Wade's grin as Nobody is almost as disconcerting in its entirety as when Tudyk's lip quivers when the Chief tells everyone the truth.
It would be a complete disservice to not have people like that in the show. It wouldn't be Doom Patrol. If that's not what you want to see, well, go fuck yourself.
Meh it was an ok ending
This
Mr Nobody in the comics only cares about fucking with the Doom Patrol and normality, but not in a very malicious or directly hostile way. he'd rather get everyone high on LSD and make surreal shit go down instead of killing people.
He's the got of theatric chaotic neutrality, fucking with the world for the fun of it and to make it more interesting.
If he just wants to retconn his schtick form season one and say "I only was an ass to get you to all come together for the show, and to one up that asshole the Brain to be your number one antagonist."
You should look up Ricardo videos to help you with your repressed nature.
He didn't hide his accent that well but he was really good.
Yeah, actually, this is it. The finale wasn't horrible, the biggest problem was that it felt rushed.
what even the fuck are you talking about. get your /polishit out of here.
I feel like my problem with the show was no one calls out crazy Jane for her bullshit and when they do they're the bad guy for it
point and laugh at the stupid, mouth breathing, window licking fucktard that will never enjoy a brilliant film like The Birdcage or Tootsie.
just because you're accutely aware of every single gender/political/culture-war reference in current media to an extent it seems like it leaps out and smacks you in the face.... doesn't mean everyone does.
get off the internet senpai. go outside.
stay mad tranny
