Thanks, it is a fun issue
actually...that kinda makes sense
and the end
This needs to be storytimed more often.
I love Elvira, thanks for the thread op.
I love her too and she still looks remarkably good
Thanks, OP.
Based op.
I really would like to read her biography she put out a few years ago. She's an extremely smart business women. Everyone was trying to get her to sell the character, or partial rights but she managed to fight and win every battle and she has complete ownership over the character. Everything has to be OKed by her, and she doesn't have a bunch of corporations leaching the money from her, she's still turning a pretty damn good profit.
67 and I would still fuck her in a heartbeat
Wait a fucking second Elvira showed up in that one older horror anthology comic as a hostess for the House of Mystery with Cain, Abel and Destiny of the Endless at the very end. That probably ISN’T /ourLuci/ but there is a non-zero chance Elvira is canon to DC because of hypertime
It would have had to be a 'parody' of her cause as I said she owns everything of the character...unless I guess they asked to use her character in that comic...which is possible since she loves being included in a lot of horror stuff and Vertigo at the time was the hot shit in horror.

I checked and Elvira is indeed canon to DC. Huh Elvira, Zatanna, Tala-what is it with black hair and pale skin having occult significance there, and does it have anything to do with all of them looking sort of like Death of the Endless? Because I distinctly remember a very obscure spinoff about a stupid girl trying to take over Death of the Endless’ cosmic role and another girl being manoeuvred to stop her by mantling Death’s power by dressing up as her shaman style
oh shit, now seeing those covers I remember that she was canon!
but black hair pale goes back a while, I loved the Black and White Adams Family for Morticia...so these seeds were old. I honestly think it's more a case that Gaiman's gothic comic was just more fitting for DC at the time, cause they had other very gothic stuff at the time, just nothing quite like Sandman
True, although with how meta DC is being recently I like to think there is some big silly metaphysical reason why dressing goth and snarking at everyone is the secret to phenomenal mystic power. Like shit imagine Constantine finding out about the Goth Force and wearing drag in a leotard to take advantage of it
WHY DID YOU DO THIS? You spoke it into the either and now Snyder is going to have some shitty idea of the Goth Force fueling Batman and The Batman Who Laughs!
It's a cool thought, but honestly, it was just the 90s. And Claremont was doing it much earlier too. It just sucks that these days they are sorely lacking.
What the fuck is it about elvira that gets my dick harder than steel? No other goth-esqe does anything of the sort.

Still a better explaination for why Catwoman can outfence Talia and take out 3 Flashes with a kick than “she’s secretly been the world’s greatest assassin that’s never killed anyone all along, and definitely not just a hooker who started wearing a cat costume after her pimp beat her”
>Elvira has the features that turn players on
I’m amazed there was an era were an official licensed product could pull off a line like this and have it fucking work
I love how committed she is to her puns. Sure, they are cheep but that's part of the fun cause she knows they are cheep and just lets everyone have a part in the fun.
good point...having Elvira have some sort of power from the House of Mystery would also just make sense. She can channel some of the stories or something, cause she is a presenter of stories, it kinda makes sense for her to have some meta-story power
>the second most famous, most important, most powerful entity in all of the multiverse
I’m going to be amazed if it actually does turn out to be Vertigo’s Lucifer Morningstar
So its true then, the eternal wagie cagie ive read so much about
What hapened to Faust?
hanging out in hell with his nagging wife
Needed more innuendo.
>Ice Ice Baby
The ninth circle is literally frozen solid in Inferno. Hah, I love this comic
I actually like how she does the innuendo's but is not quite so blunt about them..until she suddenly is. When she's upfront she's usually talking right to the reader and I feel that works much better
>Who told you that going down was a good idea?
>Pretty much every man I've ever met since I was eighteen
this must be before her becoming Elvira...no tit job yet she isn't Elvira without the implants
>Foot licker
This is the best cover.
2nd best cover.
So Im not complaining but who exactly is Dynamites core audience. Because they seem to get a lot of licenses that you don't really see people bring up these days all that much.
Those are OK, but they're not as great as the other 2 covers.
Jefferson Starship probably would be played in Hell.
bumping to read
bumping for others
They were always pretty big.
Dynamite just makes fun comics. They were shit for a while when they were trying to cover all the characters up and giving Vampi and Red Sonja new costumes and stuff. No one liked that. But that only lasted a couple years and no one was buying them anymore. They've gone back to the sexy covers, cosplay and all and gone back to the classic costumes. And they have reached out and got A list writers now, Mark Russell, Priest and Mike Carey have been writing books for them. Only recently Yea Forums has taken notice and some of the stuff is now being talked about
They're still shit with a few exceptions.
Thanks, OP.
bump
>Yngwie for prez
100% based
>who told you going down was a good idea?
>pretty much every man i've met since i turned 18
we're expected to believe elvira was a mouth virgin until her 18th b-day
you're making me have confused feeling for steve buscemi here
the fuck? that was meant for this
yeah the idea that she only had guys asking her for sex since 18 is absurd
I get why they worded it like that, to avoid confusion over the intention of the joke, but they could have made it clear without making it absurd (like "every man I've met in the last X years")
