Pretty well, as he can punch out and kill gods. He was chosen to end the cycle of rebirth and kill YHVH once and for all. Meanwhile Steven wants to declare war on the Axiom, both are far stronger than Demifeind and Lucifer. Gods are messiahs, Steven creates messiahs.

>Meanwhile Steven wants to declare war on the Axiom
I thought he was in service to the Axiom?

>"How would they..." thread without list of feats or at least powers
Fuck off.

Posting an even partial list of the Demifiend's in the OP post would be obscene.

Stop being a lazy cunt and try.

I think I'm just gonna start filtering "How would X fare" also fuck yourself OP.

Was. He is gathering all his messiahs to confront it. Why? He never states.

Not OP, but dude was hand picked by Lucifer to lead his forces and kill YHVH. He made him powerful enough to face any and all gods, and command those that choose to follow him. Lucifer wish to free all life from his father's influence and rules. Steven, Aleph, Nanashi, and the Axiom are more powerful.

Less "laziness" and more a lack of space, but okay. Amongst other things, the Demi Fiend tames gods. As in, he kills and reforges them as servants in his employ. These include things like Mab and Titania, Shiva, Kali, high-ranking angels, and other such silliness. All of said entities retain the powers they have per their myths, and have it directly stated to you. As such, the majority of them are universe-killers, or above, being led by the Demi Fiend. In terms of physical power, he has a lot of spells at his disposal, but his punches are jsut as (if not more) lethal. Per his bonus boss fight in one game, he's immune to all damage save Almighty, and spams overpowered near instakill attacks like no tomorrow.

His most notable accomplishments probably come from killing Kagutsuchi, who governs the process described in pic, and thereby destroying the whole Amala Network as a byproduct. He has also fought against a semi-serious Lucifer, who makes the before-mentioned entity seem tame in comparison. As a Messiah, Naoki exists for the sole purpose of opposing YHVH and freeing all of creation from under his grasp, and he does this very well.

Oh so it's another character that doesn't make any sense in any possible way since his universe has no basis for comparison since, for example in this instance, things can kill the universe including the character but are still killed by the character.

What was the point of this thread with a character like that? Just jerk off in Yea Forums or Yea Forums or wherever he's from.

Seems like a rather sudden betrayal if so. I suspect there's something up with the Axiom beyond YHVH going rogue, which is the reason why he's getting ready for all-out war.

Why did you ask for info if all you were going to do was dismiss it off-hand like an asshole?

>Why did you ask for info if all you were going to do was dismiss it off-hand like an asshole
If it made any sort of sense I would have thought of how someone in comics could beat him. Since he appears to have been written by an eight year old adding feats to their imaginary friend to beat up everyone else's I'll dismiss it off-hand like an asshole.

As something approaching an actual answer, Thought Robot can beat every single character barring toonforce, Lobo has a similar set of feats and can't die so is likely at least a draw, Spectre could kill him if the actual God wanted him to, and peak Anti-Monitor would likely reduce him to thick soup. None of this is interesting because this character and his universe are retarded however.

Because it ok when Marvel or DC characters do it. SMT is just as silly and I enjoy just the same. Dude is just bias. I hope Atlus don't drop the ball with SMTV, and I hope Marvel Alliance 3 is good. I get Nightcrawler back.

It's SMT. The entire setting is absurdly high-powered and has had a lot of time to devel9p as such. If you want to call it "retarded" becuase of how overpowered it is, be my guest. Just know that you're on the very board for disgusitngly overpowered shit.

>Because it ok when Marvel or DC characters do it.
I'm starting to suspect this as being the case as well. It's perfectly fine for say, DC to have stupid overpowered characters and concepts, but the instant someone brings up any setting even remotely approaching it in powerlevels, people fly right off the handle and start screeching about how "retarded" it is.

This tends to happen when things like Digimon get brought up, but it happened with that one SCP thread we had a month back too.

So why did you throw that at Marvel and DC where most things aren't outside of events? The list is the big bad and the big good from those events, there's no discussion to be had. The JoJo thread is a power level that actually makes sense in comic books.

Killing Universe destroyers has happened maybe twice in DC at least by the way, Anti-Monitor and whatever the fuck that guy was from Final Crisis. Nothing as retarded as the imaginary friendfiction the OP is.

What are some Demifiend feats? I don't think "killing gods" is that amazing since every jrpg character can do that.

>So why did you throw that at Marvel and DC where most things aren't outside of events?
>Killing Universe destroyers has happened maybe twice in DC at least by the way, Anti-Monitor and whatever the fuck that guy was from Final Crisis.
Both Marvel and DC have had world, universe and multiverse destroyers appear outside of events many times before. More often in DC's case, but it also happens in Marvel. They're actually a pretty good fit for throwing Megaten stuff at.

He's the saitama of the megaten gaems.

Any feats?

His most notable accomplishment probably comes from when he killed Kagutsuchi. Kagutsuchi was the avatar of YHVH tasked with creating and destroying uncountable numbers of realities across the Amala Network through an ever-arising sea of avatars in the myriad worlds.

Killing one avatar of Kagutsuchi wouldn't be much of a feat in and of itself, but the Demi Fiend punched the thing so hard that it broke and genuinely died across all worlds , and with it, the entire Amala Network blue-screened and collapsed.

He also took on Lucifer, who is more than a couple steps above Kagutsuchi, but I think it was just a test on the latter's part more or less.

I wouldn't go that far. That would be Steven.

Steven is the thing that Saitama's get bitchslapped by.

Nigh strength
Nigh speed
Nigh resistance
Immune to mindfuckery and curses
Edgy for a SMT character. Here is a better breakdown in personality.
SMT 1: /vr/
SMT 2: /tg/
SMT 3: Yea Forums + /pol/ + /r9k/
SMT 4: /tg/ + Yea Forums Flynn is a good guy.
SMT 4A: Yea Forums + /k/
SMT 5: Unknown

Gets shitstomped by the JL or Avengers as 100% of their baddies do. He looks like enough of a twink that by Jap logic he's super powerful so maybe event tier.

>Almost strength
>Almost speed
>Almost resistance
The fuck does that mean.

Demi Fiend isn't evil, so they wouldn't end up fighting. YHVH and co are absolute assholes in SMT.

Well he is not oinmputent, but he is insanely high in those areas. Like Thor, Superman or any other multiverseal brick.

Demi-Fiend is the reason why i think Batman and Lex Luthor are the strongest character there exist in the DCU. Fuck Godly characters. Fuck God. Humans are awesome and can punch their shit.

ONE MORE GOD REJECTED.

Being fair, the Demi Fiend is only half-human. And he certainly loses even that status come the True Demon ending.

Doesn't matter. I hate Superman now. He's a little bitch. Lex Luthor all the way, baby.

ONE MORE GOD REJECTED!

>t. Lex

That would be cool. A DC/SMT game where you are Lex and you fight and talk will others to join your cause and kill YHV--Superman. The LAW ending you become the next Superman and lead humanity, NEUTRAL ending you remove all supers and rule the earth, looking to expand humanity into other universes, CHAOS ending you are consumed with madness and become a cruel new god.

Jesus i hate when people try to imply omnipotent gods are killable

all that nigga has to do is to think about you not existing, and you want to what, punch him?

fuck off

>Lex
>Not Metallo Clark
Swear to god, I dunno why I bother with you newfags sometimes.

Attached: 1c_3055_0_ActionComics312KingSupermanVsC.jpg (420x595, 78K)

So you hate Superman too?

He can be a lvl 55 summon

Wouldn't it depend on which ending you considered to be canonical? Obviously True Demon would make him the strongest, but none of his humanity would remain so that would factor in as well.

But the Amala network wasn't destroyed when he killed Kagutsuchi?

>Wanking Kagutsuchi this hard
Dude was the moon of the dyson sphere (and that term is used here VERY loosely) Tokyo. Dude wasn't no Monitor.

Fog Breath

>Marvel
Pretty high level. Would team with Thor and friends to have another God war to kill Mikaboshi and YHWH.

>DC
Middling level due to the gods of his setting being SIGNIFICANTLY underpowered compared to those in DC. Compare DC Michael to SMT Michael for instance, or DC Bast to SMT Bast. Would be fun for him to run into Zauriel and find out not all angels are scum bags.

He would probably waifu God and get in a love triangle with her and Rama Kushna.

In the True Demon ending (which is his most powerful and intended state), it was.

The Vortex World is just a staging ground. Once someone reaches its heart with the proper Reason, Kagutsuchi annihilates and reconstructs the entire reality in an instant.

But doesn't he need the right reason to do that?

Was it ever stated one way or the other whether it was just for Tokyo or the entire planet?

>Gets his ass kicked by DMC2 Dante
youtube.com/watch?v=eY_YAB_kxRM

It can be any Reason from what I recall. That's the reason why Naoki was made to reject all Reasons and anything approaching them.

The Vortex World in-game specifically is a kind of Dyson Sphere encasing Tokyo, but the effects it has will extend to Earth and beyond once Kagutsuchi gets a Reason.

I don't know about that man. Maybe, it in the game they always seem to refer to the Vortex World whenever someone says "the world". In Demon (not true Demon) you just give up and the Vortex World stays as it is so it seems to "count" as the world everyone is fighting over.

But if True Demon is canon how does SMT IV work? Did he just destroy every vortex world in the universe and there's a larger Amala Network behind the one that connects the vortex worlds?

There's seemingly several 'multiverses' in the Megaten cosmology, or at least variations. So Naoki going True Demon is a possibility in one instance, but everyone else (barring things like [Record Scratch]) aren't aware of what happened. This is the explanation I've seen used in regards to Devil Survivor and Persona branching off from the main games.

Persona is on the Amala Network? How the fuck does that even work?

The Network seemingly contains not just the mainline games, but every other vaguely Megaten-related work. Persona seemingly had its shift by not getting fucked by [Record Scratch], but instead ended up having one big ol' ball of "Fuck You" in the form of Nyx hanging over it. That's the reason why their Cognitive Realm developed. Things went off the rails from there.

THIS IS WHY I PICKED JONATHAN YOU SHIRTLESS BASTARD

Probably a bit lower than Dante in all physical fields. Demifiend's real strength comes from his moveset and Immunities. A top Demifiend would have
>Immunity to Physical, Piercing attacks, Fire, Cold, Wind/Force and Electricity(Digital Devil Saga could damage him with Earth type attacks because that type of attack didn't exist in SMT 3, I think that sets precedent to other types like Nuclear or the Energy from the Cytorak Ruby. Probably Magic/Ailments too, though not Exorcisms(Expel)or Curses, as there's protection for those in the game)
>Max Healing, though not automatic like Wolverine's Regen. Ability to bring back the Dead but no such ability for himself?(can you resurrect Messiahs in Steven battle in 4-Apocalypse? Maybe only Messiahs can resurrect Messiahs)
>Max Damage, can kill otherwise unkillable beings. Not necessarily Super Strength though, maybe more Piercing their Invulnerability?
>Ability to Bind Demons/Gods to his Will. Demons may not retain their full power however.
>Ability to Pierce resistances, including Almighty resistance
>Ability to Buff/Debuff to hell and back, shared with his party
>Ability to withstand any mortal blow, only once per battle
And then he Focus->Gaea Rages you. ONE MORE GOD REJECTED

In all seriousness, it's very possible that Demifiend fares far better against Divine/Demonic enemies(Wonder Woman, Hellboy) than against Magical(Constantine) or even Mundane(say, Punisher with a tactical nuke)threats. It's all a matter of overcoming his many resistances twice.

An SMT game.

you're forgetting
>SMT SJ: /k/ and only /k/

I hated SMT4 for this and the fact that it just felt like a regression for the series. I hope 5 fixes it but I'm not a fan of the newguard.

It was less "luck" and more "actively trying to do it", but I managed that on release, before guides were around.
Felt like a big dick hero.

That's not accurate. Stephen is seeking to prove "that humans have the potential to exceed the Axiom." He didn't save the doomed Messiahs to fight the Axiom, and he has given no indication he seeks its destruction, only that he believes humans are able to evolve beyond the bounds of its reality. And for the Axiom's part, we don't even know if it's sentient, but the only active action we know it has taken has been to generate Messiahs to protect and guide humanity when the Gods get too uppity (which Stephen doesn't do, by the way, he just finds them and guides them).

Stephen is more a guide than anything else. He's basically the one avatar of the Axiom that hasn't gone completely off the handle.

The demi fiend rules the armies of hell. He and Dream would be pals. Taming the whore of Babylon and befriending the four hoursemen of the apocalypse are fairly basic feats. He'd be the type of guy that would ask Death out on a date.

Don't make me smack you through the internet, boyo.

Well who else was there besides Yellow Head?

Stephen is explicitly not an avatar of the Axiom. He's just straight up human, and managed to code his way into the building blocks of the Universe.

lord knows he's met death plenty of times before

Attached: 1470706161764.png (500x313, 141K)

Well there's Shekinah, but she's just Yellow Head playing at being female.

Does Stephen have anything to do with Gore's supermode from Strange Journey where he's powered by human will?

Demifiend isn't even the strongest smt protag, he got his ass kicked after the true demon ending and the one that appears in the apocalypse dlc is not even the same one

A guy who can bitchslap multiple Messiahs all at once isn't a "straight up human" at all. Stephen says that he's not a demon, but I highly doubt he's as human as he otherwise looks. At least, not anymore.

Kagutsuchi probably is only as strobg as the fake yhvh you fight in smt2
Space marine and flynn fought fragments of YHVH and an entity almost on the same level of him, and aleph defeated the real deal with punches and guns

And Nanashi ended up murdering the whole damn entity. Though it took actively denying his divinity and might to drag him down to a level where he could be harmed.

I wonder if yhvh can really be defeated, if enough think of him he will come back, i wonder if he'll be back as soon as smtV since his appearance in apocalypse is kinda wonky canon-wise anyway

He's "human" in the same way Commander Gore was "human." Stephen is like Gore plus.

To be fair, that sentence describes Superman perfectly. Don’t even pretend it doesn’t, just look at him laying out the World Forger, a hyperdimensional possibility forging cosmic being from the 6th Dimension who created BARBATOS and is a brother to the Overmonitor and Anti-Monitor, on his fucking back. Just by flying through a couple of suns.

So Steven is cats, mosquitoes, the existential crisis of ennui and the Japanese cold?

>DC Bast
Okay honest count of hands: How many people here remember her obscure Vertigo spinoff wherein she almost completed the dream of 100 cats prophecy Dream of the Endless foretold could let cats reset all of reality so they were dominant and humans were puny? The same prophecy, I think it bears mentioning, that Mike Carey posted on twitter while explaining how the minds of mortal men were the “outside forces” that shaped the fucking Presence himself.

I think SMT Bast would kick DC Bast’s ass in a straight fight because DC Bast’s whole character is starving to death slowly from lack of belief. But in sheer offscreen mystic fuckery, DC Bast has her finger on the trigger of a cosmic reset that makes the Cosmic Eggs look like bad jokes.

He does say in Apocalypse if you don't hesitate to kill him that he'll "fade from the minds of hunans." His death might actually stick this time.

If he wants to be.
