Have you ever had an idea for a super team that you thought would be interesting? If so, how far did you ever go with it?

>Fuck buddies
Criiiinge
People do have casual sex, user. Nothing wrong with it.
Tell me more, user.
No. But the term "fuck buddies" is 2000s cringe.
I wanna see Janet lead all bug themed team
Oh, don't be so pedantic.
Is there room for an ant-man in there somewhere?
I thought Deadpool crossing paths with a team of children and teens like champions or runaways is good. He will try to stop them doing dangerous stuff and protect everyone.
I was thinking of all female team, but I'll allow guest appearances from Hank and Scott
imagine taking the hellfire club and instead of having a load of backstabbing and undercutting between a load of powerful individuals you make it a binary fight between two teams while they moonlight as a strikeforce
thank god you don't make comics user
Some team I put together for another thread. Since Galactus had his Ultimates, ol' Uatu put together a team to protect Earth from future threats.
As long it don't go too much gurl powerrr. It's good.
Did you miss the part where it's part black ops shit and part political intrigue? There would obviously be backstabbing, faction changes, politics, diplomacy and other factors going into the storytelling. In my mind, it would ideally be a struggle between Emma's vision for what the Hellfire Club should be accomplishing and Magneto's vision, with both parties alienating and ingratiating themselves to the other members outside of the team.
Why you have to be so rude?
I call it. “Space Team”
Here's $10,000,000, make it happen
>reading comprehension
>not an argument
>ignores the actual justification () and focuses on what he can make a quippy response to
oh, you're just out looking for a fight, aren't you? post a team, you silly git.
have you considered I was writing a response to the prior comment and decided to respond while I was actually providing criticism?
Don’t know X-Men
This is just weird but it has Hal and Thor so I can dig it
Ticks a fetish
Kinda cool
Feels done
Have you considered that you're just a cranky, hypercritical bastard looking to pick other peoples ideas apart without providing your own?
Depends on your sex. For a man it’s a-ok. If you’re a woman, you’re a slut, and rightly so. But hey, the world needs its sluts. Oh, how foolish they are...
>Feels done
Yeah, definitely, but I like the idea of a dark avengers team, and this team specifically would be all about war and going into war-torn parts of the world like a superpowered nuke.
is Rulk still knocking about? I forgot all about him
I feel like he and Red She-Hulk got depowered.
That looks like a fun line up
your idea feels underdeveloped from the cliff notes given, certain details don't mesh whatsoever.
the strike force aspect completely contrasts with the clandestine nature of the inner circle, most of the inner circle should be absolutely focused on not allowing any culpability in their actions even alongside the other high profile members because anything could be used as leverage against them.
you also have a character in sunspot being "recruited" by emma frost instead of having him as a major player despite his history - the characters chosen aren't a problem but it feels as though you're trying to fit square pegs into round holes
you could have four major players all fighting for power whilst they command a team of operatives to complete their goals - the inner circle agrees on actions which their strike team then commits to accomplishing, only for things to not go as planned due to the political maneuvering of the main four players. all of the kings and queen deny any actions and have their own plants and sympathisers on the team whose allegiances ebb and flow depending on circumstance, but undermine the main objective depending on who in the inner circle has whatever agenda at the time. that'd allow for your characters to interact and have both perspectives without it jamming against the core ideas of what you're going for
the core of the idea is okay but it feels as though there's a fundamental misunderstanding of certain characters
what did he mean by this?
>your idea feels underdeveloped from the cliff notes given, certain details don't mesh whatsoever.
I mean it's just a cursory "this might be fun" thing. Don't have a cow, man.
>the strike force aspect completely contrasts with the clandestine nature of the inner circlemost of the inner circle should be absolutely focused on not allowing any culpability in their actions even alongside the other high profile members because anything could be used as leverage against them.
How so? They would act as assassins, silent shadowy enforcers, the muscle they could use to back up the Hellfire Club's backdoor dealings. It's not as if it hasn't been the case in the past that the Hellfire Club takes on a more proactive, confrontational role. This team would merely be their strong arm, and a lot of their stories would be steeped in internal politics and character development as opposed to just raw action, hence the size. The way I see it, most of the action would be taken on by the likes of Mystique, Fantomex, Sunspot and Marrow, whereas M, Magneto and Emma Frost mostly deal with the more clandestine talky bits, thereby leaving them largely unaccountable.
>you also have a character in sunspot being "recruited" by emma frost instead of having him as a major player despite his history
This particular incarnation of the Hellfire Club is drawn from its current composition, of which Sunspot is no longer considered a member. His "recruitment" would be more along the lines of bringing him back into the fold with Emma's new vision.
>Con't
Alright check out my team
>Hellcat
>Squirrel Girl
>Southpaw
>Finesse
>Synapse
>Voyager
>Frog-Man
The League of Characters I Want to Fuck guest starring Frog-Man
>you could have four major players all fighting for power whilst they command a team of operatives to complete their goals - the inner circle agrees on actions which their strike team then commits to accomplishing, only for things to not go as planned due to the political maneuvering of the main four players. all of the kings and queen deny any actions and have their own plants and sympathisers on the team whose allegiances ebb and flow depending on circumstance, but undermine the main objective depending on who in the inner circle has whatever agenda at the time. that'd allow for your characters to interact and have both perspectives without it jamming against the core ideas of what you're going for
Like I said before, there'd be a lot of political intrigue. Whereas the focus would be on the black ops team and its leaders in the form of Emma, Magneto, Storm and M, a lot of the political aspects would focus on the internal power struggle within the Hellfire Club and how those four especially would have to fend against attempts to usurp and undermine them from other members. Like I pointed out in my first post, the other members are enforcers who provide the physical action whereas the kings and queens navigate the Hellfire Club's power structure as a whole. I'd ideally want to strike a balance between those two aspects to sell the theme of a war being fought on multiple fronts and draw parallels to the operation of governments and other systems of power where you typically have the big figures pulling strings and the foot soldiers having to deal with the gruesome consequences of their scheming.
I didn't go into detail on the chart itself due to a lack of space, but the endpoint for the team would be tearing itself apart through attempts by all its members to secure power or influence for themselves on some level, again providing commentary on what happens when the dirty dealings of these organisations end up going public.
...
Cassie and beetle on same team how does Scott feel about this?
what does wonder woman have to do with space?
>he doesn't want to fuck Frog-Man
I had an idea for a dark avengers team that featured hobie brown being given a necklace that turned him in to a bombshell purple-haired woman, that would act as the black widow of the team. On missions s(he) would wear black widows' skin tight suit and have multi-vision goggles that gave him vision similar to the ones from his prowler suit.
that's... really interesting, user...
> Ares led "heroic" kill crew+monster hunting squad?
This is working under the hope that Omega Red's redemption from the recent Weapon X book sticks.
Also Ares & Remus both being ancient have lots of history together which will allow for flashback sub plots to various time periods.
Pondering my own mismatched Squadron Supreme in the vein of pic related.
> Zarda / Power Princess (jms's supreme power)
> The Rider (great society)
> Doctor Spectrum (great society)
> Boundless (great society - maybe, not a fan of speedsters)
> Arachnophilia (post jms supreme power)
> Old Soldier (post jms supreme power)
the joke was that he would be way more comfortable with being a woman than you'd think.
Doom builds his own Avengers team to take a more hardline stance against global crime.
And here's a Doom-led team of "Dark Defenders" who treat supernatural threats without mercy.
West Coast Avengers team focused on generating positive PR for the superhero community.
Embarrassed myself by making this its own thread, but here's my dream Avengers lineup. No "Big 3" because I feel like they overshadow everyone else, and Cap's big role (his leadership) is redundant with Monica as the leader.
>Acroyear
Given that he'd never get on the team because legal issues, would you have a replacement or just cut it down to 5 members?
Ross got depowered in the Omega Hulk arc and then killed in the current Captain America run.
Betty also got depowered but got repowered as the Red Harpy in Immortal Hulk.
Is that Karla or Carol?
And, like, is that Punisher in the War Machine suit? Because otherwise I don't buy that he'd team up with these assholes.
Karla.
I like War Machine as the conscience, too.
Okay, I'd buy that. He gets put on the team by the President or Osborne or whatever, and reluctantly accepts to try and stop them doing more damage than necessary?
Yeah, I really wanted that team to be the "War Avengers" in the sense that they deal with terrorists, dictators, armies and the like on behalf of the government, so War Machine seemed like a natural pick and having his personality to balance out the rest would be good for the team.
I like the Mighty Avengers as the Street-Level Avengers
War Machine has history with Ares.
US Agent is conservative but he isn't even remotely a villain.
And Ares has been good since his death in Siege minus his current blackmailed role in War of Realms.
Red Hulk was good & worked for Banner/Government after Leob's run on him ended.
Honestly, Ares is one of those guys who I have no trouble buying in either a heroic or villainous role.
Ross is, consistently, a fucking asshole who cannot be trusted, and everything about USAgent would piss Rhodey off.
I buy the "government sponsored Avengers who Rhodey doesn't like but works with anyway" angle, though.
>Black Panther
>White Tiger (Ava)
>White Tiger (Angela)
>Hellcat
>Tigra
The Nyavengers
I always though Fantomex and Mystique would make up for a good team-up, both can misdirect. Phillippe is the fancy newcomer but only knows stuff from books while Mystique has decades of experience.
Fine, God Team
I like this a good deal. Who is the Ant Man?
Eric O'Grady aka black ant
i liked how weird this avengers team was
>WW is Half God
>DS gets his stuff from Gods
>Steven is Half God
>Thor is a God
>Ben can become a God
>Goku can become a God
>Hal kicks the shit out of Gods
Makes sense I guess
Psylocke
Nightcrawler
Rachel
Meggan
Roma
I liked the idea of Betsy and Kurt trying to reform Excalibur and then didn't realize I had accidentally made him a harem lead. But I like it.
jli was kino
>accidentally
you know what you did
X GONNA GIVE IT TO YA
Heroes in Crisis gave me the idea of doing a team of Avengers who are all mental in one way or another and end up forming a team through coincidence.
Wolverine gonna give the D to everyone on that team.
Maybe
Royals
Moon king, Randac, Black Bolt, Ahura, Karnak. Team made up of kings/leaders from different time periods of inhumans.
ESPECIALLY Nightcrawler
Nice.
Pic related I had a Thunderbolts team idea with the same theme of mental illness.
Shocker is the exception.
Pic related my European Team.
Ares could probably be on it also.
Any team with old soldier is based asf
Except the myriad of health, emotional, and mental problems that result from it.
Still less than the emotional and mental problems you get from being an incel.
I like it. Here's one I made of a group of martial artists who form an "Avengers" team dedicated to taking down the Hand once and for all.
None of that is true. It can lead to those things but no more so than any vice. Also don't be a prude.
All company/universe cosmic team...
> Beta Ray Bill
> Phyla-Vell
> Space Ghost
> Soranik Natu
> Jonni Future
> Gamora
I wanted to add Hickman's Smasher but she is too similar to Space Ghost in look & brick powers.
Based art adams
I'd like to bring back X-Corp as sort of an "X-Men International" with a business/charity spin.
>Any team with old soldier is based asf
>I like it
Thanks anons!
Needs more Stick
I have the name "Avengers: Agents of Ultron", but don't know who should be on the team. Help me out, Yea Forums.
An Outsiders team led by Nightwing that does clandestine shit to stop crime in its tracks before it becomes a problem for other teams.
You are a gentleman and a scholar for keeping this great character memory going. SALUTE!
A bunch of Green Arrow Villains become stars on an interdimensional Reality show.
Behold.
Shit that's huge. Hang on.
A "good" Ultron from an alternate universe who only went haywire after witnessing humanity plunge itself into nuclear war and extinction travels to Earth-616 and decides to use it to prove that machines could do a better job of protecting and preserving the Earth than humans.
To that end, he programs and releases an "Ultron Hypothesis" virus by locating the half-built body of Virginia Vision and using her latent data to spread the virus through targeted protected systems. After that, he finishes rebuilding and reactivates Virginia with her memories of her marriage intact, styling her as a vengeful, humanphobic female Vision.
Ultron's Hypothesis spreads to the likes of Machine Man, the android Human Torch, Danger and the cyborg Thor clone, Ragnarok and, rather than reprogram them, poses infallible logic that proves that machines should be the ones who lead the way for other heroes. They join his faction and become their own perverse Avengers team, using cold logic and rationality to tackle incidents across the world.
At some point, realising that a more distinctly human perspective is needed, Ultron reprograms a dormant Tony Stark A.I. and uploads it into an Iron Man suit that merges the designs of his universe's Tony Stark with his own upgrades. This new sentient suit serves as what passes for a moral centre for the team as they inevitably spiral towards domination of the human race and Ultron, realising his hypocrisy, ultimately erases his own code from the universe and self-destructs.
