Why was Alex such a dick to Hank in this?
Rewatched X-MEN: FIRST CLASS for the first time today
Because Alex is a Chad and Hank is a Nerd. Chads pick on Nerds. Having you been living under a rock?
I just watched it recently too. It didn't really hold up. I think its actually kind of bad. The only Fox X-men films that are good are Days of Futures Past and Logan. I remember Enjoying the original first two X-men films bu I have no idea whether or not they hold up
X2 is still the best X-Men movie ever.
>The only Fox X-men films that are good are Days of Futures Past and Logan.
What shit taste. Those movies are garbage. First Class is unironically the best X-men film made thus far.
He was jelly that Hank was getting attention from shapeshifting young Jennifer Lawrence waifu.
The only thing I remember about that movie is that this character should have been named Dragonfly.
Was trying to set up a Cyke/Wolvie frenemy to bromance situation but they got rid of Alex in the very next movie and killed him off screen in the movie after that.
That hasn't been a thing in like 20 years. Are you some kind of spaceman who learned all he knows about humans from 80's television?
She’s based off the Angel in Grant Morrison’s run.
I hate how Singer killed off almost all the X-men from first class off screen
The movies takes place in the 60s
To be fair comics Hank was a Chad Nerd. People were even willing to overlook his gorilla hands and gross feet so long as he was school quarterback.
That beast was top tier
Dark Phoenix had the best Beast makeup, imho.
>The movies takes place in the 60s
Only First Class takes place in the 60s. DoFP takes place in 72, Apocalypse takes place in 83 and Dark Phoenix takes place in 92.
Which all take place more than 20 years ago, retard.
this is the best xmen movie
How do you rewatch something for the first time? You either rewatch something again or watch it for the first time, you can't do both, And don't say time travel because that's DOFP.
This movie makes Mystique whining about Xavier not helping out on missions even more nonsense. It's a poorly explained subplot in Dark Phoenix as it is.
He got paralyzed in the line of duty, yet the movie has her talk as if he gladly puts people in danger without thinking of consequences.
It's like we missed a movie after Apocalypse.
Lots of really weird stuff near the end. Like Jeans death is 100% dumber than I remembered.
Hank deserves it
Alex is a Chad who communicates with fellow males through good-natured ribbing and teasing. Hank, being a Nerd however, is too autistic and socially retarded to simple respond to his jests in kind, so he just spergs out and takes it personally.
>That hasn't been a thing in like 20 years.
it still kinda is, but in a more refined way
I really wanted to fuck the ginger twink in this movie.
1. To be fair, Dark Phoenix was going to be a two parter with each movie being almost three hours long.
2. The in-universe explanation is probably that Mystique has become incredibly egotistical after the events of DoFP (she had posters and stuff in Apocalypse) and acting as a superhero for a decade. Or she's just a bitch.
>That hasn't been a thing in 20 years
>Even though the movies take place from the 60's to the early 90's
Brainlet spotted.
t. Matthew Vaughn
Point remains valid.
He could be the best actor in the world, but I would still be fucking pissed that Kelsey Grammar only got to do it for one movie.
This
>It's like we missed a movie after Apocalypse
What do you expect when they gloss over a decade each movie?
>To be fair, Dark Phoenix was going to be a two parter with each movie being almost three hours long.
For real? Movie might have actually been better if they'd done that. Wouldn't have been great, but if they'd actually had character arcs in the film, it might've been less nothing.
Yep. Either Sophie Turner or Tye Sheridan confirmed it. The first one was going to be Jean doing good as Phoenix and end with a Shi'ar invasion of New York. Jean wasn't even going to be Dark Phoenix until the second one.
The build-up to Dark Phoenix is the most important part. Just jumping in to her being dark doesn’t work.
>yet the movie has her talk as if he gladly puts people in danger without thinking of consequences.
He kinda' does and admits to it, but he has a good reason for it.
>Jeans death is 100% dumber than I remembered.
How so?
Did anything happen with Havok in the movies? I'm a big Havok mark.
He blew up.
He disappeared after he blew up the Blackbird. They literally couldn't find his body.
He blew up Cerebro, and they couldn't find his body because it was McFucking incinerated.
This
I remember seeing this poster as a kid and convincing myself Lady Deathstrike was Jubilee for some reason.
Mutant and proud!!! Kek
Wait, who's that guy in the background between Iceman and Wolverine?
I can just about make out goofy glasses, so I'm guessing it's that kid who could switch channels by blinking.
Rewatch it. It was an prototype of Black Bird's engine that blew up. Quicksilver didn't even see him and he was able to save Hank and the others. He disappeared.
I kind of doubt that was a plot point they were going to explore. It's more likely they just neglected to show him actually getting incinerated.
He's dead, bro. Beast even says he was too close to the blast.
