I like Star vs Forces of Evil.
This show makes me happy, and always makes me smile.
It may not be the best written show. It may not be the best animated show. It may have one of the worst endings I have ever encountered. But it doesn't change the feeling of warmth and positivity that I always get from watching it.
And when I see people complain and insult it, hate it for its different flaws, deride it as garbage, I think - you have the right to feel this way. Maybe it's not for you. It can't possibly be for everybody. And I understand your perspective, there are some very popular shows that I don't enjoy.
But as much as I relate to your opinion, I can't say I care about it. How you feel about a show doesn't impact the way I do. This show brought me many wonderful moments, and I made some great friends because of it. I can honestly say that it made my life better, like no other animated show did before.

The ending was a huge cop out and was very lazy.
I don't think the shit ending is the writers fault. I think what really happened is Disney execs have drawn very constricting 'guidelines' for them which heavily crippled some of Nefcy's ideas. Remember this show was pitchedfor 5 years before Disney greenlit season 1.

I'm a late viewer and also find the show interestingly quirky. It's pretty fun and never fails to bring a smile to my face. I wish I could watch it all in chronological order.
I'm with you on that. I feel like there are way too many fanfictions out here where Star and Marco get married at like 16 and then are having babies (twins no less) at 18. Like, I get people have different ideas of what's cute and it's their story but for me personally that's a "close the tab and get another beer." type event.
Side note; what of the things I really have been enjoying on these threads though is the head cannon a lot of Yea Forums people had cooked up back when we thought this show was all about making Star suffer arbitrarily.
The discussion is genuinely more interesting to me than some of the screen time a lot of the villains had.

Yes, everything is fine user. The solarians are gone, which was a pretty big threat for the universe if you think about it. Both worlds are now meshed together, which makes a good background for future adventures. Jackie is a lesbian, Janna is getting along with Tom (on the rebound), Oskar is working at the taco stand. On Earth because of Star's confession, and the fact that Marco left for such a long time, everyone assumed he got hitched with Star. And on Mewni because of Star's princess song that Ruberiot wrote. Her crush on Marco is known by every mewman.
Lastly every single one of their friends knew about their connection and decided that 'yep they belong together'. They made an episode specifically for this.To show that Jackie is fine, she's dating girls, and she 100% approves of starco.

Even though Yea Forums would rather not believe or think of that because Nefcy's given us no reason to hate HER personally beyond her involvement in the last few seasons, as in she has no obnoxious online presence compared to some others).
But even if Yea Forums wants to imagine she did not nothing but sign off on S3 or S4, if she did work on the spellbook more it's still not a good sign because Eclipsa's chapter still paints her and Globgor as just as much of a perfect little dindu as is reflected in the show.

That's pretty upsetting to hear. She was probably the only female cartoonist I think I cheered on because the first season was for the most part devoid of the tacked on romance shit I see elsewhere. Season 2 was pretty good too I guess. But after Seasons 3 and 4 I kinda regret watching them but I don't because it was pretty fun to come to these treads whenever a new episode premiered.
