They where trying to make it game of thrones for kids

The idea guys were made to be the only writers and no one was around to tell them over half of their ideas were bad.

They didn't plan to go past season 1, and they didn't think they'd keep being renewed, so they didn't plan an overarching storyline.

Ask the other six gorrillion threads you fsggots have made

That pic is dumb because the only good part of korra was her design

ACTUALLY, the pic originates from before the show, when the artwork of Korra looking over Republic City was the only official image of the show. So it’s not making fun of her design, it was just fan’s being silly in the initial hype of the show’s announcement

I will never not be mad at how the avatar and avatar state were retconned and how this bint killed off Aang and the other past lives. We got emotionally invested in Aang through his adventures only to have him disappear forever

Because Avatar the last Airbender was a world of wonder mixed with everything that makes a series good. While the legend of Korra was virtue signaling garbage created by people who don't understand the real world and how it's people work. Season 1 had a very good idea everything else afterwards was a literal load of shit.

And this: youtu.be/bmKaQqinWKY

Short answer:
The writing was shit

Long answer:
The writing was shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit

that pic is old as balls, we didn't knew how korra face was at the time

Bryke were hacks who just got credit for Aaron Ehasz's work. This isn't their fault since as far as we know they didn't actively try to take credit for his contributions to the show, we just assumed the creators were the brains behind the story.

They killed off Amon at the end of the first season instead of using him thru out the entirety of the series.

They also gave Korra back her avatar powers in the same swift stroke and held off on something that would have been major character development until the fourth season.

Other than that the only sin they committed was KorrAsami

>They didn't end it with my shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip
ftfy you whiney fucking manbaby
Also this is 80% of Korra haters
The only shit thing was changing continuity around.

tumblr pls leave

Korra having nothing but a limited amount of Airbending and having to relearn the other elements on a spiritually level to use them again would have been cool.

You people give Ehasz way to much credit.
He did a good job but people pretend like he was the sole reason that ATLA was good and there’s literally no evidence to support that.
He definitely did a good job on that show, but it’s more likely that ATLA was just a very fortunate case of having the right crew at the right time, including Bryke, Ehasz and the other writers/directors.

tumblr is dead after they committed franchise suicide by removing porn and you fucking know it.

It was definitely more than just him, but most of the major character traits and world building that defined the show came from him.

Well he was the head writer and story director for the whole of the series, which means he had a great deal of control of the writers room and writing process. Writers on series usually get credit for the scripts they handed in final drafts of themselves, but in the end its a group work with individuals making the final teleplay
Just look at the narrative quality on AtLA in comparison to Korra. Its pretty clear he added a lot of the quality

>world building
Don’t know about that. The lore and mechanics of the world were pretty much all Bryke, but it depends if you see that in itself as world building or how that information is conveyed to an audience. Because Ehasz would have played more of a role in that second one.

The first season was decent.
It would have been better if
they removed the bending games part, that annoying bald kid, tenzen's family.
That policewoman. That stupid romance subplot with the bros.
Asumi, or at least tone down her makeup.
Make sure that bolin's brother doesn't resist bloodbending.

The second season was absolutely dogshit. It is beyond saving.

Season 3 was the best one. It was enjoyable. The villians were great.
It would have been better if
Bolin never learns lava bending,
His bro doesn't learn lightning,
That part with the metal benders never happens.
Zahir doesn't loose his shit at the end.
And... Actually thats it. The season was good.

Season 4 was shit, not as bad as 2 but still atrocious.

Then that would explain the influx of tumblr migrants.

stop fucking crying you fags

One of my autistic beefs with LoK was how it seemed to forget how it's own world worked.
>the Avatar isn't revealed until they're 18 and the other elements have to be taught
>Korra was a fully realized Avatar as a small child

>lightning bending is the hardest expression of firebending and requires intense mental and emotional discipline
>literally anyone off the street can lightning bend

>the Avatar state is when the combined knowledge and personalities of all the Avatars take over the current body creating a higher consciousness unlike the individual Avatar
>the Avatar state is super saiyan mode

It's like they were writing fanfiction of their own franchise.

Where do you think we are? Tumblrinas are real dum

the writing looks like an avatar fanfic

La goblina del agua

This

Small details.

The main talent left the production staff.

it was boring, big city setting vs constantly on the run through several different folks fixing random shit while learning elements was fun
also korra wasnt really that enjoyable to watch, first season was her bumbling and doing a lot of wrong or hothead decisions and the only thing that made me think "OH YEAH WERE BACK INTO LEARNING ELEMENTS" got snatched when Aang returned her elements
it probably was a good show but for me it was a bit dissappointing, all i remember of season 2 is the cool spirit world segments, big korra and dark avatar, season 3 is the 4 evil benders with cool bending abilities, didnt watch season 4 or the comics

>ATLA was godly
Nah.

not enough martial arts more about the powers

All was revealed when we found out just how George-Lucas'd Bryke really was. Remember when they were boasting that they both wrote it all, and that they were not "filler" episodes, and we got hype for that, like suckers?

Bryke.

ATLA isn't as perfect as you remember it.

At least it was fun and didn't cling on nostalgia

ATLA really is the most perfect American animation series ever made if you get right down to it.

>people can only hate this show because muh ship
Don't be a retard user, you're better than that. Season one of Korra was okay but it got progressively worse as time went on

But user, I watched it last week for the first time, and the only weakness it has are some episodes in the first season. It probably has the best writing and character arc a cartoon has ever offered.

Not really. It still holds up. Some shit from my childhood (like Pokemon) doesn't, but not ATLA.

Don't forget throwing away everything that made the world cool in favor of shitty steampunk

>an entire world of different asian cultures and architecture
>ripoff new york city

>Earthbender trolleys and waterbender ships
>fucking cars

>Cool expressive bending styles
>Shitty MMA jabs and lowkicks

It's like Bryke made a list of everything that made Avatar cool and then systematically ruined each one.

I rewatch it every other year. It really does hold up.

ATLA seems to be having a renaissance of recognition lately.
I don’t know if it’s Netflix marketing hype for the live-action series or fallout from GoT’s bad ending but I can’t seems to go a week without stumbling across some pop-journalist piece or a 90 minute YouTube analysis about how it’s literally the apex of all human accomplishment.

Even the season finales?

The finales are the best episodes of every season.

This.
Not this. Bryke was so incompetent that getting more episodes allowed them to ruin the ending and what could've been a 10/10 villain. I don't know what they were originally planning but there's no way you shit the bed that hard. All they had to do was not mess up what they had set up. But it was like they were flying a plane and when they reached the landing strip they noticed that they had more gas so they decided to nosedive into the ground.

>like Pokemon

Amon should had just been an average nonbender who just got fucked up and wanted revenge. Would had been better if there wasn’t a singular Amon, but a small group going under the same name

Undeserved reaction. Enjoying the finales so much is a perfectly fine opinion, they were great episodes.

Imagine her unlocking each element in a new and exciting way each season, all the while developing Amon over several seasons. Season 2 the same, only she limited. Season 3 the same only she have 3. Season 4 and she just gets back full power. Season 5 Amon joins with everyone and she has to go full ham on 4 opponents at once.

Oh well

this Aladdin faggot

The original creators were giving ideas, but weren't in charge, so the people who Were in charge were basically like:
youtu.be/ibrUREcu_h4?t=41

Oh no, it’s him

>The original creators were giving ideas
Wasn't that the other way around? After all, Toph being a girl wasn't even the two creators idea. And with Korra those two went solo.
