Fucking real tired of Catwoman.

Thanks to Tom King

>firefly

FUCK

YES

Catwoman is going to be an antihero love interest, and Firefly is guaranteed to job at the very beginning. Really glad they decided to re-use two villains from some of the shittiest batman movies, totally doesn't make the movie side of the franchise feel stale or repetitive

It's pretty normal for Batman to have multiple villians. TDK had at least 3

In all 'Too many villains' movies, the number of villains is the least of their problems.

>Its pretty normal for a Batman movie to be about his villains doing interesting shit, while Batman drives around gritting his teeth.
Fix'd.

Oh yeah multiple villians worked just fine in the past for capeshits, especially Batman!

This is going to be garbage bu i expected nonetheless.

I thought this was supposed to be a movie focused on a capable and cunning Batman.
Seems it is turning into the usual "Villains, Cars, Setting...and oh yeah we got this guy to fill out the costume."

Firefly should've been Killer Moth.
I wonder if both of them interacted at some point.

Yeah it's actually worked great for Batman. He's only ever had one film where there was one villian and that was 89

Sounds like it. There is maybe a way it can work though, if the movie is a detective story as has been rumored, you need multiple suspects, some of them red herrings, so if these villains are treated as sort of fixtures of the world that Batman investigates, like they've done in some comic arcs, rather than having multiple threats the movie is focused on.

That's always been the problem IMO, multiple stories competing for screen-time, not the raw numbers of villain characters. Spider-Man 3 is like 3 different stories badly jammed together that only converge at the end. ASM 2 is 2 different stories badly jammed together, that only converge at the end. CA: TWS is a fucking great movie that has Alexander Pierce, Crossbones, Batroc the Leaper, The Winter Soldier, and Arnim Zola, and it all works because it's a single story about Cap vs HYDRA in a modern spy setting.

This line up makes me think it will be just that. Riddler will be the main villian Batmay has to outwit, Penguin a mob boss Batman uses for info and Firefly can be the muscle. That's my hope anyway

Looks like it. I'm glad SONY finally learned from their mistakes and stopped that shit, at least.

Fpbp

Firefly will most likely be a henchman for Penguin and Catwoman and Riddle will have minor roles. This is fine but they shouldn't add more. I wish they started with the falcones and other mobs.

>Are we gonna see another "too many villains" flick?
no, because I won't see it

The only other good batman movies have two major antagonists at the most. No, Scarecrow in TDK doesn't count because he's in it for literally two minutes. Two antagonists, who don't even really share screentime, is more manageable than these retarded villain team-ups

You don't even know if it's going to be a team up or how much time each villian will have

That article has no source on Firefly or Riddler. If I said 'Marvel executives have eyed actors for Norman Osborn, described as a 'ruthless business man who behind a wholesome persona has a dark secret. Age 30-50' and published that on a website, it'd have the same amount of credibility.

A casting call would also definitely word for word quote a Wikipedia article about a character's participation in an event the movie probably isn't based off of since the last solo live action Batman movie was basically Knightfall and Reeves hasn't said shit about Knightfall.

OP shilled their article for clicks confirmed

What does everyone think of Firefly? Would he be good as the main foe of this movie or just prefer him to be the first one to job?

Depends how they are handled. If Firefly and Riddler are just cameos or small roles that would be one thing. Anything bigger then yes that could be a problem.

>Catwoman,
urg she is cancer.

Catwoman is great. King has ruined her though

>Has literally never been cancer in any on screen adaptation.

I like Firefly but he wouldn't work as a main antagonist for a film. Batman would probably come across as a jobber for not being able to take him out in 10 minutes

She was terrible in Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises and in the Gotham show, to the point where the actress badmouthed the character.

What about Halle Berry's Catwoman?

She was pretty sucky in the DCAU.

>>Has literally never been cancer in any on screen adaptation.
She is still Cancer.

>She was pretty sucky in the DCAU.
Well user I have one thing to say to that
All the women in BTAS suck shit compared to Lois in STAS

They briefly teamed up but Firefly's sociopathic tendencies freaked Killer Moth out

Catwoman sucks.the fall in the sales of Batman, is, in a good part, Selina and King's responsibility

No, give her a solo film but not shit this time

Catwoman is a tumor.

Catwoman is literally the Yoko Ono of Batman.

I hate Catwoman. I found her annoying and unsexy, in whatever media she appears.

>Picks an objectively shit movie.
>Halle Berry being the least shit thing in that movie.
Try harder.

Everything in that movie was bad, user.

>Specifically references onscreen versions of Catwoman
>Autistically cannot help himself from sperging on about Tom King
What is the most myopic board on Yea Forums and why is it Yea Forums?

The Batman/Catwoman relationship is overrated...

Samefag alert!

>>Autistically cannot help himself from sperging on about Tom King
King is still Cancer.

>Implying

Robert Pattinson's potential hire as Batman is starting to make sense to me. Tom King's Batman may be coming to an end in comics but it will live on in movies.

Did you actually like Nolan's Catwoman? She was shitty and tiresome. Why the fuck would this "practical" Batman universe put her in high heels? She never even wears high heels in the comics.

>Matt Reeve's The Batman movie is an adaptation of Zero Year.

you wouldn´t if we still got the old sexy and fun catwoman instead of the constant king trash

i might see it if Selina is hot and shows of cleavage

>Catwoman
Not a real villain
>Firefly
Mook
>Riddler and Penguin
Writers too dumb to make their cool tricks work

never thought that day would come

TDK: Joker, Maroni, Two-Face

not all of them are going to be equal in screentime and the such. Usually multiple villains in movies like this are often designated to certain parts (like Batroc the Leaper appearing in the beginning of Captain America: The Winter Soldier)

Penguin and Riddler are probably teaming up, Catwoman will be an antiheroine and Firefly for the opening jobber

DCAU is not the same as DCOMU

Depends on which version of Firefly they do. There have been two instances of him being really great. Batgirl Year One and Streets of Gotham Vol 1. If it is anything like that I'll be 100% sold.

Catwoman isn't going to be a villain. She's going to be his annoying love interest that keeps getting in his way until she helps him out in the end like every single Catwoman story. Firefly will have about as much screentime as Crossbones or Batroc.

>inb4 they're all written like Tom King BvS shit

I want a good movie, I really do, but there's no reason to expect this to be any different.

Imagine if Riddler was something of an established police consultant who was actually behind the movie's plot the entire time

>My man Firefly

THERE IS A GOD

Nah. "Too many villains" isn't a valid problem. Too many "antagonists" is.

Hollywood with spider-man and batman early on didn't understand too well (reviewers included) that just because someone has a name or is a commodity doesn't mean they need an arc or to have a plot point beyond one or two scenes. They'd see something like batman appear in suicide squad and wonder why he didn't have an arc or story of his own.

Thankfully we can hopefully avoid that and just get reeves doing his best long Halloween impression.

>Two-Face
>antagonist in TDK

I knew Yea Forums doesn't read comics but it looks like it doesn't watch capeshit either.

I don’t see Firefly being anything beyond supporting character/hired goon so it’s really a non issue

I was thinking that there would be multiple villains who are quickly put away, only for it to be revealed that there is an overarching baddie pulling all of their strings.
