Bojack horseman
No comedy, whatsoever
Sounds like any live-action show that isn't capeshit or any police show.
>no fun allowed
You first.
Family Guy
it has action
So what cartoon shows exist that didn't need to be animated? I dunno, Star Trek TAS?
name a cartoon that
>has no animation
Name 10 shows that aren't Jackie Chan.
Why? What would be the point of such a show?
Pff, easy.
Batman
Big Guy and Rusty

>doesn't have animation
Anything that fully relies on improv comedy.
Adventure Time
Batman
Justice League
Jackie Chan

Tragedy
Romance
Such as?
Name one that's of any value.
Soap Operas are not of any value.
Literally any daytime soap opera
The fact that they survive is a comedy.
So you want a realistic down to earth show, with adult situations and actors, without any comedy or action, that's completely off the wall and swarming with magic robots?
12 Oz Mouse
All I got's is anime.
Action and comedy are both genres well suited for animation. If you want something down to earth without zany exaggerated expressions, why would you go through the trouble of animating at all? It'd be much cheaper to do it live action.
>having action and comedy in your story
worst trope ever
>Wanting an animation
>Not wanting things that make animation special
I want animation to be more mature and not rely on "genres" to be special
Someone gets shot every ten episodes or so, but I wouldn't call it an action series.
Mononoke
Everything is a genre.
Unironically Detentionaire. It's not funny in the slightest, to say it has "action" is an insult and the protagonist looks like a fucking adult.
Name a show that doesn’t have animals in it
Robotomy
Well TECHNICALLY, Splied! doesn't. They're abominations of nature and not exactly real animals.
Ducktales
Amby & Dexter
It's just arts and crafts
youtu.be
And though it's not the focus, those often have Action and Comedy.
So a boring show then?
>Name a show without anything good in it
Can you go be a faggot somewhere else?
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse
Ahaha! That’s the one.
My point is using the medium for what it is capable of doing that live action cant or is limited in doing.
If you want a soap opera then just watch a live action soap opera. They barely move and use exposition for everything.
Name a show that
>Doesn't have action
>Doesn't have comedy
>Doesn't have drama
>Doesn't have protagonist
>Doesn't have antagonist
That HBO show about rats. Pretty sure most of the dialogues are just improv and It's barely animated
I really have to re-read this one
Name a show that:
>doesn't have animation
>doesn't have dialogue
>doesn't have music
>doesn't have episodes
>doesn't have plot
>Name one that's of any value

tales of mere existence
Salad fingers
It's Lain.
Also, she's a youngster.
So, you want an animated soap opera?
Every animated space documentary, especially this one which is my favourite.
youtube.com
what's wrong with comedy? do you hate enjoying yourself?

Person vs. Technology/Machinery
"Narrative structure
Narrative structure, a literary element, is generally described as the structural framework that underlies the order and manner in which a narrative is presented to a reader, listener, or viewer. The narrative text structures are the plot and the setting. Generally, the narrative structure of any work can be divided into three sections, which is referred to as the three-act structure: setup, conflict, resolution. The setup is where all the main characters and their basic situation are introduced, and contains the primary level of characterization. A problem is also introduced, which is what drives the story forward. The second act, the conflict, is the bulk of the story, and begins when the inciting incident sets things into motion. This is the part of the story where the characters go through major changes in their lives as a result of what is happening; this can be referred to as the character arc, or character development. The third act, or resolution, is when the problem in the story boils over, forcing the characters to confront it, allowing all elements of the story to come together and inevitably leading to the ending."
I cant...
Youngster protags are the ones the sell now adays and I blame anime for this.
Family guy
>tfw you observe a thing
Who else knows this feel besides OP and I
Jackie Chan...dang.
This.
Protagonist should be relatable.
Action should be engaging.
comedy should be funny to balance out the heavier stuff.
Name a few tragedies or romances that don't have any action or comedy, not just cartoon related, I mean from any media what-so-ever.
It's a Wonderful Life
your life
When the Wind Blows. Well, less of a show, more of an animated movie, but I digress.
Definately yours. You freaking weirdo.
god i want to jerk off to this short haired alien girl forever
Most shows and movies and any kind of story has a level of comedy to it.
Because comedy at least keeps people paying attention, so most stories insert at least a little in there.
Your life, we’ve been filming and digitally rotoscoping everything since you were born and goddamn if it isn’t boring. You’re actually lucky, we haven’t found anyone worse or you’d be out of a job.
Isn't that like most shows for toddlers.
The sheer autism of it all....
