Everything else looks fine. I’ve read several sites saying that there’s supposed to be some sort of hero customization so I wouldn’t get too hung up on costumes because they might change depending on how you build your Avengers.

It's copypasted and some designs even look worse. It looks graphically bad with no discernable style. Square basically dumped their project on Crystal Dynamics and Marvel/Disney doesn't care enough to ask for quality in their contracts that loan out the IP.

I think what gets me is that the art direction is so bland. No joke, this has to be the blandest "realistic game" I've ever seen, and that is one hell of an accomplishment.

This "game" has not given off a great first impression. We know virtually nothing about the actual gameplay, and the character models are the least of it's worries. People bitch about a Superman game being impossible, but an Avengers game like this is infinitely more complicated. Something like this just seems like too much at once, and lacking focus. Each Avenger demands a radically different play style, and as of now Square Enix hasn't provided much faith that they've done that and instead opted to market the story instead. Spider-Man for the PS4 worked so well because it was backed by a studio with a clear vision, and a love of the character and his material. The press conference at E3 felt more like a bunch of bandwagoners jumping in on the MCU craze, but I may be wrong.

In short I just think this is a bad idea from the get go, and would rather see fleshed out solo games that don't even need to connect at all

Love both Tony and Thor's design, haven't really paid attention to the buzz but it is to be expected in those cases since there is literally nothing else to talk about.

I bitched about the white Spider-Man costume myself when it first got revealed and it ended up looking great to the point i kept going back to it.

That isn't the real problem. The problem is that crystal dynamics tried to be a faithful to the MCU as they could in everything except the actors faces, which gives a very weird aura. If they had decided to change the faces to something else, there wouldn't be a problem.

I'm more upset that they tried to ape the MCU's look, while passing on opportunities to do things like give Thor his fucking helmet. It just feels halfassed

Literal soldier Cap only works so far. Stick pounches and military gloves on him sure but when he's actually wearing straight up military padding it starts to get silly. "soldier" or not, he's got to also be very agile and free enough to brawl

Tiny Stark is the only one that I really dislike because his beard looks like ass. The others are fine. They're probably going to change some things until the release anyway

It looks like a porn parody. None of them look like they're the actual Avengers. Just cosplayers or stunt doubles. Im mad at the actual models and faces for them. Visuals are otherwise fine.

Their faces just look too "normal", like that Cap could be a random policeman extra and Ironman some random technician. If they can't use MCU faces, why aren't they going with the iconic comic designs as the base models like Tony's mustache?

It's a realistic rendering of the Avengers, of course it'll look a little like the MCU, but that doesn't mean it's completely derivative. Captain America and Thor look completely different from their MCU counterparts.

They have to let the MCU Avengers go, user. They can't milk off RDJ and Chris Evans forever.
