Fellow drawfag here, there will be days where you feel like you've forgotten how to hold a pen. I find that taking a short break before attempting to work through a block helps. Also, don't be afraid to start over. If you've drawn it once, you can draw it again. also I usually prepare a sketch I like before posting that I'm going to work on it

Just request whatever the hell you want. but no more than one req per series per thread (the problem with "less popular" stuff). I know the feel, it may take months before you get a delivery and it may be bad. but you just have to try, just don't be annoying about it.
There's the joke that Drawthread on Easy Mode is "make the same request again, but change the character to Raven" and you have more chance of getting a delivery, but it may not be as true as it was.
Most of the requests are always going to be for waifu pics, the more mainstream, popular and well-known, the more chance of it getting drawn. For anything else, you're better off making it weird, funny or memorable. If your request stands out it has more chance of getting noticed and maybe drawn.
As general drawthread etiquette, Don't make requests with lots of characters, anything more than 2 or 3, you're asking for a lot for free. The same goes for requesting several panels of story. Make sure all the characters in your request are in your reference pic, don't assume everyone knows what they look like. Don't request actual porn on Yea Forums. That's what /aco/ is for. Anything showing nipples, genitals or characters having sex is for /aco/. Don't post furry requests, or anything that could get seen as a pedo request, it will get deleted. Don't get angry if you don't get a delivery, don't get angry because someone else did get one, and don't assume all of the requests for a particular character are all from one user. Don't post a lot of requests in the same thread. If your request hasn't been chosen after you've posted it 3 or 4 times, accept nobody wants to draw it right now, and make a new request. Maybe try it again months later, but just accept it's not happening now. If you get a request, be thankful, even if you think it's bad, someone still made free artwork for you. If your directions weren't specific enough and you got a monkey paw delivery, see the funny side and don't get angry. Don't ever lost your mind and troll the thread with spamposts every time, don't start a Tumblr blog devoted to shaming Drawthread artists into leaving Yea Forums just because you can't get a delivery and people use bad words here. Don't be that guy, we already have one of him.

You can in theory request for any show so long as you provide good reference material. The more mainstream and less obscure it is, the more likely it is you'll get a delivery. Shows with easily replicable or fun artstyles are a plus as well. Do NOT make multiple requests in the same thread about the same show, that's just spamming.
