Spiderverse is overrated but it isn't a bad movie, it's just okay.
What I think really holds it back is the pacing and the jump from focusing on Miles and Peter to a larger cast of characters who had little screen time and really didn't have to be there.

There's also some shaky logic for the introduction of the extra spiders besides Peter B. Gwen's spidey sense sends her to Miles, who isn't a spider yet, instead of having her attempt to save Peter A's life. Aunt May says "You're not the only ones that thought to come here." to introduce the remaining spiders and but none of them would have had any reason to think of going to Aunt May specifically, let alone all three.

You can handwave it with spider-sense fuckery, but it's hardly smooth.

Disney doesn't want "The Lion King" to be considered an animated film. They're going to put in their weight on "Frozen II" and "Toy Story 4" for Best Animated Feature consideration while pushing "The Lion King" in other categories, including (but not limited to) "Best Visual Effects".

Aunt May also knew Peter the longest and was probably the most likely to have any of his stuff. I'm not sayin it wouldn't have been reasonable for them to try and talk to MJ, but I don't have any problem believing they all went to May either.

Turning RIPeter into Batman was also a stupid decision when you consider he died with his regular costume on considering we saw three armors and a fucking stealth suit in his batcave. Also why was MJ at her husbands mirderers party looking really not bothered at all about her husbands death even though it was only supposed to be two days after it happened. MJ had no idea Kingpin was responsible, though it's unclear how much she knew about Fisk being a regular antagonist to Peter A anyway. I think they do play with Gwen's attachment to Peter a bit, in so much that she's willing to sacrifice herself and stay behind so that Peter can go home and she is pretty tolerant of the bum he was when she met him.
