>What do you think of Moringmark's current Star comic series, "Echo Creek: A Tale of Two Butterflies", taking place after the show with a teenage Meteora and Mariposa on summer vacation, and "Q.U.E.E.N.S" which is an AU where all the Mewni Queens listed in the Book of Spells, with the exceptions of Moon and Star, living as normal humans in the city?
>How do you think magic could be brought back?
>How could the Solarian conflict have been stopped without destroying magic?
>What do you think would be fitting Wand designs and/or cheek markings for characters that never got to wield the wand in canon, like Meteora, Mariposa, Jackie and/or Chloe, Janna, etc.?
Hey, all the comparisons of the destruction of magic to Thanos's snap gave me an idea, what if the Infinity Stones exist in the Star Vs. universe, but were sealed away by the MHC magically to stop their powers from being abused. But when magic was destroyed, the seal was broken, and since the Stones are not magic...
Even without reading them I can tell they're both shit. The first for focusing on Meteora and Mariposa, the second for including Eclipsa even though we've already seen more than enough of her.
>How do you think magic could be brought back? I don't think it could or should. Fuck magic.
>How could the Solarian conflict have been stopped without destroying magic? Destroying magic was the best solution because Eclipsa and Meteora don't deserve magic. I'm like physically incapable of even conceptualizing any other solution because anything other than destroying magic would suck.
Lucas White
What go down? Comet's death?

>TL;DR: "My autism doesn't allow me to imagine anything besides what it's canon"
Adam Thomas
Why the hate on the young butterflies?
Robert Ramirez
Not really; I really don't like canon as it is because Meteora and Eclipsa exist (among all the other shit the show's done). It's just that canon worked out in my favor for once by killing magic, and I'm glad that happened. I don't like the idea of bringing it back and I feel it would undermine the one useful thing they allowed Star to do all season.
Normally I'm a bit more creative when insulting these characters but I can't be fucked right now, so I admit me just calling them shit the way I did sounds autistic.
Meteora is a shit character. Mariposa would be fine on her own but has been irreparably soiled by hanging out with Meteora, like how they would burn the objects exposed to scarlet fever germs.
Nicholas Nelson
Yeah. Was she JFK'ed? Stabbed? Impromptu? Planned? Did Toffee do another one of his lame one liners?
John Green
Doesn’t the Book of Spells talk about her?
Lucas Jackson
Yeah but the whole murder is completely overlooked. She sort of evokes a Marie Antoinette thing about the monsters eating pie, but that's about it.
Jordan Green
Mariposa is boring on her own. She is far from being a complete character. She worked with Meteora because the latest had a defined personality in the Neverzone and together they fulfil the straight-man joke perfectly.
No I think she just looked up to her as someone who protected the weak and gave her a purpose.
Juan Taylor
>What do you think of Moringmark's current Star comic series, "Echo Creek: A Tale of Two Butterflies", taking place after the show with a teenage Meteora and Mariposa on summer vacation, and "Q.U.E.E.N.S" which is an AU where all the Mewni Queens listed in the Book of Spells, with the exceptions of Moon and Star, living as normal humans in the city? I don't. >How do you think magic could be brought back? One of the not brain damaged Stars in the alternate timelines we saw in that one episode pop over and fix shit. Magic must revive magic. >How could the Solarian conflict have been stopped without destroying magic? I don't even know what you're talking about. I dropped this shitshow in Season 2. I was holding off hoping it would get better again, but it clearly fucking didn't judging by the fact that it ends in literal genocide. >What do you think would be fitting Wand designs and/or cheek markings for characters that never got to wield the wand in canon, like Meteora, Mariposa, Jackie and/or Chloe, Janna, etc.? A broken heart. >Any cool art would also be appreciated. Fuck you.
Brayden Kelly
She went to the monster king to sign a treaty, Toffee busts in and attacks, and Comet is killed in the chaos.
Hudson Myers
What would be Toffee's cheesy hammy one liner after he deep sixes a fucking mewnian queen.
Who cares about nonsensical and ultimately pointless lore?
I’m just trying to remember the good times and make art of Janna cuckng Star.
Jacob Diaz
Got any good art already?
Lucas Rogers
That's why I don't like her; she was completely fine as a baby who's not as terrible as Meteora and could've grown up to be anything, but because "hur they both babys," she just grew up to be Meteora's sidekick. It was probably the whole reason she was created at all and I find it dumb.
Isaac Davis
Didn’t she kick Meteora’s butt once?
Ryan Foster
I have no idea. I assume if she did it that it happened in Gone Baby Gone, and I have seen that one, but since I don't like either one I've already forgotten most of the details.
Bentley Bailey
Nah, Meteora is shown to be quite overprotective towards Mariposa. Most likely due to the latest low self-esteem.
It's obvious she let Mariposa win by pulling a disadvantage on herself, but still considered it her sister's victory as for how difficult the whole thing was to begin with.
I could see Marco as Jerry, Tom as George, Star as Elaine, and Janna as Kramer.
Mason Walker
Mariposa was a literal doormat as a baby, Meteora at least was able to interact with other characters and did things on her own.
The only episode in which we see baby Mariposa do something, out of the three she was in, was Gone Baby Gone... and simply because baby Meteora was playing with her.
>Mariposa was a literal doormat as a baby This sounds so fucking dumb out of context, but then since I also bitch about cartoon babies all the time I know my own posts aren't any better. But I mean, Mariposa seemed to be a literal newborn.
Also that's kinda what babies do; generally they don't take over the whole show and have incredible abilities. I liked Mariposa enough for all of like 2 segments before they let her hang out with a literal (half-) animal who could probably crawl her eyes out, because she WASN'T obnoxious to Meteora levels.
Camden Smith
>crawl Yeah meant "claw." Meteora has claws and fangs and was literally stated as preying on people weaker than her. She's feral
Owen Barnes
She behaves perfectly fine with every single character on-panel except for Marco (and the joke died in Gone Baby Gone). Only time Eclipsa mentions the "don't go against those weaker than you" is with the snacks guy in the stadium, simply because the baby was hungry and wanted the food.
The thing with kids is that they don't control their strenght sometimes. I have two and I can relate with Eclipsa in that scene. Meteora is way stronger for baby standards so that's why she must be alert while her daughter learns self-control; and she did a pretty good job to be fair (same with the robot mom and Neverzone auntie). By the time Gone Baby Gone takes place, Baby Meteora is caring and protective around those weaker than her. She has learnt the lesson.
PS: Meteora seems to be able to control the claws already and that's why she has normal baby hands when she is not climbing.
I personally see the claws/hands thing as inconsistent boarding but I really don't have any desire to rewatch Meteora scenes to prove that, so I'll take your word for it.
Kayden Moore
Yikes

Someone has to shitpost about Meteora being terrible and goddammit it's gonna be me
Andrew Bennett
I liked it
Daniel Anderson
Shitpost is the best word for it because you keep up making up shit to "support" a senseless point. Like that user annoyingly stating Janna is dead in every thread.
Well, it's not like there was much risk to him with his healing abilities.
Josiah Cook
True.
Jaxon Morris
I mean, they're not just going to try killing him like a bunch of smooth brains. The real risk is capture. If doesn't matter if you can regenerate if they just toss you into a cell and dump you into a cave somewhere like depleted fuel rods.
Mason Anderson
Unless they captured all his cronies, that’s not a sure thing anyway.
Levi Martin
True

Song of Fire and Ice reference. In this case it would be >be invited to monster territory >be welcomed with hospitality >sit for negotiations >Toffee and his allies kill Comet and her retinue >spare Batwin to tell the tale Emphasis on the betrayal aspect of the happening

>Q.U.E.E.N.S. Goofy fun sitcom antics. Let them have their fun. Particularly since the crew all but ignored the entireMewni history of lore in the series proper
>Tale of two Butterflies I honestly would have been more interested to see where they went with the alternate timeline children AU. But this doesn't look bad.
>Magic brought back I believe It's already present, just not as abundant. It's the reason why all the world catastrophic aspects don't occur following the cleaving, and was triggered by the suicide pact/desire to love-and-protect that Star and Marco had with one another in the remains of the RoM.
Adam Gray
That actually doesn't seem that bad. Based on wand upgrade tiers... It seems like a season 3 or season 4 iteration ... Not an initial design

>Jam... They're only your half sisters >You know what to do...
How would you get rid of the Solarian warriors without destroying magic? Maybe rally the armies across the multiverse to fight on Mewni? Would it be worth a chance to prevent Earth and Mewni cleaving into the inevitable hellscape where intolerant humans persecute monsters? Imagine the fear and hysteria from the earthlings when they learn a literal underworld is beneath them. It would make Mewman's prejudice look inclusive.
That... Would be amazing. Anyone have the names of other artists that do really cute Starco pics, but aren't afraid of a little NSFW? Diligi's one that comes to my mind

>How could the Solarian conflict have been stopped without destroying magic There were three (3) possible avenies which were presented both in the series and in the books for addressing the enchantments of Solaria upon the mewmen turned soldiers. >1 Counterspell magic was already shown to exist. Furthermore, it was shown to work on magic that had extended durations. Even Star was able to figure that shit out in just a few minutes (Ref. episode 'Swim Suit') >2 Rhombulus' magic was impervious to everything but himself... AND the magical pact of two Queens. Imagine if you will what kind of power the combined strength of 3 Queen's (each of them DID hold the throne) of Star, Moon, and Eclipsa. Also... Fuck Meteora. Dumbass bitch baby. (Ref. 'Moon the Undaunted') >3 The book of Spells describes the kinds of magic that are considered the highest tier of power. Among them, the most powerful is when the user employs both LOVE and PROTECTION as the stimulus for dipping down.
Notice that each of these are NOT mutually exclusive. They can be used in conjunction with each other or as individual solutions to fit the narrative intended for a particular interpretation or intention to be telegraphed to the reader/viewer.

I'm rewatching the series and: >Mina tries to push all of humanity off a cliff so she can become ruler >exactly what she tries to do in the finale to the monsters >which implies she did this in the past
>Cloudy is corrupted and turns green >Was Toffee controlling him? >"Oh, the princess's hands are too delicate to take out the garbage!"
Oh yeah, I forgot she does in her first episode. Yeah, I guess that shows how hardcore the warriors were back in the day.
Gavin Sanchez
Which is pretty fucked. Mewmen are scum.
>River goes camping with Star and Marco >has a staring contest with a bald eagle because, "once I break his spirit he'll take us [to Old Youthful]" >River rides a gigantic bird into Mewni to fight Ludo/Toffee
>Star and Marco play a board game with sentient pieces based on themselves >when Buff Frog appears, Star slams the board shut as the minature Star and Marco plea for mercy >she milled killions
>Ludo says to Bird to "just swallow it" with regards to Buff Frog >which is what Toffee said about Ludo to the chicken monster >yet another example of Ludo emulating his abusers
>Hungry Larry is an episode about a monster who consumes people and surrounds them in a green black goo >Marco's dad warns the children about "letting the monster inside" >Star dresses as Ludo for Halloween >however her "Ludo" has a reptilian tail >something the bird-like Ludo lacks >Star's costume is thus a representation of Toffee's possession of Ludo: a lizard-bird hybrid
>Star's spells are coming out wrong >Glossaryk acts as if he's on a murder scene, telling Star to start the car while he pours magic bleach on the bodies >Star tells him the spells aren't dead >yet>
No, she has one.... Eclipsa is apparently perfect and can do no wrong. If she wants her baby back, she can have it. If she wants to have her husband back, consider it done. How about the power and authority to create an environment of acceptance despite Star's efforts to do so over 2 seasons? Completed in a single episode with a single spoken line. Fuck Eclipsa and her trash baby.
Charles Bennett
I like her.
Bentley Wilson

So, it looks like in the Q.U.E.E.N.S. AU, Crescenta works at an ad company and her last name is Lepus.
