the X-men side of it was done poorly compared to the SoL side.

Why are going to two schools)

I remember liking the Brotherhood

I liked Kitty

i love this version of rogue, she is so cool. her look, personality, voice, etc. are all perfect and i've always had a [non-sexual] crush on her

In the first two seasons, maybe, but the show gets much better when you hit the third season and realize that it was all a setup for mutants to be revealed to the world. The contrast between the first two seasons and the rest of the show is actually really interesting and, I think, one of its strengths.

>Non sexual crush
Ehh?

she makes me swoon but not horny

>tfw the long-range plan of the show was to use the Dark Phoenix Saga to kill off Jean and end the series with Scott and Rogue together for real

The absolute madmen, I would have loved to see Evolution continue just for them to pull this off.

Try rogue like evolution by oni

not my kind of thing but thanks anyway

Attached: 9f6.gif (316x240, 2.95M)

The brotherhood were swell guys.

Attached: toad gambit.jpg (1280x785, 110K)

Yes but not together

Rogue deserved Scott. I was pissed that he friendzoned her.

Felt like one of the few times they were adequately developed and served as a nice gray contrast to Xavier's kids. Lots of people consider this to be one of their best interpretations.

Always got boners at this scene in the opening

It always felt like the fire still burned a little between them, even after he formally started going out with Jean. And, as we know, the ultimate plan was for them to end up together.

Ikr. At first I thought it was trying to make the whole X-men be like Spider-man and have them have alter egos. But it was all just to make the mutant reveal to the world hit harder. I wasn't expecting a mutant reveal at all, so the mutant discrimination they got from their former classmates was a lot more effective because of it.

wasn't there a spiderman show on mtv like this? was it any good?

Not really.

MTV had a CGI Spider-Man show.

I remember it sucked.

Later seasons were dope and i liked Wanda.
Logan and his relationship with the students was nice.

Easily one of the best Marvel cartoons, in my opinion. It's strange to say, but it feels more grounded and realistic than most of them.

Probably because the characters were all high school kids, with the only adults being Wolverine, Storm, Xavier, Beast, Angel, and Gambit (also Scott and Jean if you count the fact that they're 18 by the 3rd season). The whole high school slice of life drama/superhero action cartoon mix is a pretty easy thing to portray.

Probably my favorite X-Men cartoon, and second favorite Marvel cartoon, after Avengers: EMH.

Making Logan an adult while the rest of them were teens was such a fantastic decision. Not only does Logan work really well as an older mentor figure, it meant there was no chance whatsoever of the fucking Scott/Logan/Jean love triangle showing up.

No.

As a kid I had a DVD with three episodes on it and watched it over and over again. And the only part I legitimately remember of that slog was a cop saying "you kids and your MP5s", and Peter corrected him by saying "uh, they're actually called MP3s."

In all fairness Evolution Jean was one of the few times her character and personality weren't dogshit.

Pretty sure they ended up together in the epilogue after Jean goes Phoenix.

Yeah, I loved it

Attached: XmenZeo copy.jpg (2502x1377, 1019K)

It had the best portrayal of Wolverine: Dad Logan

>no female nightcrawler
Garbage

Yep can't believe I actually liked him in this. Then WatX and they had to shove him down my throat again.

Between this, the first three movies (even if the third was bad), and the Ultimate line of comics, X-Men are weirdly evocative of the 2000s for me. It was a fantastic decade for them in retrospect.

I mean... like I said, Jean WAS 18 by the third season...

>Zeo fag
All kinds of autistic

the best kind you mean

As a kid I remember watching the X-Men movie and really liking Toad for some reason. This show made me like him even more. I never hear anything about Toad in comics anymore.

Speaking of "best versions of the character," Evo Cyclops pretty much wins the mark on this point, right? This version of Scott is the best he's ever been. I'd actually say that Scott is one of the BEST characters in the show. Taking his usual straight man personality and mixing all sorts of teenage issues into it turns him into a really interesting, and surprisingly sympathetic, character.

Attached: f26c279649a4a30c66746723f03cd12d.jpg (640x480, 28K)

>the opening scene of the first episode where Scott's sitting pensively on the bleachers waiting for shit to go down while doing whatever the fuck he was doing with that coin
>that episode where he goes out into the middle of the fucking ocean during a tsunami to save Alex

Evo Scott was fucking awesome. It was nice seeing a version of Cyclops who actually smiled once in a while, too.

>that time that Mystique dumped him in the middle of fucking Mexico without his glasses

Never really thought about it before, but this probably was my favorite version of the character.

Favorite Nightcrawler

>Mystique wanted to fuck with him precisely because, at a crucial moment, he decided to be a dick and leave her to get captured by government scientists because she wouldn't tell him where she'd hidden Xavier

I remember ages ago someone here said that if any character appeared in Evo that was probably the best version of them, and I'm honestly inclined to agree. Scott, Jean, Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Rogue, Kitty, Toad...

There's a few exceptions, like Storm, but that's mainly because she was barely in the show. You could tell the writers had no idea what to do with her.

Yes

Attached: Evo Rogue SunsetRiders7.jpg (536x1462, 146K)

Isn't that an issue for Storm a lot of the time?

You know she probably would've told him anyway since whatever she was planning got wrecked by Magneto and the whole Sentinel fight revealing them to the public.

>he wanders into a back alley and a bunch of thuggish dudes call him a "gringo"

I binged the series recently having not watched it as a kid (it was kinda before my time) and that part really shocked me.

Pairing Kitty with Avalanche of all people was an unexpected twist that somehow worked

Attached: lance and kitty.jpg (320x240, 13K)

at first i didn’t because i was a kid who loved Fox’s x-men cartoon waaaay more but after te-watching it as an adult i do enjoy it

Why would that be shocking?

I used to watch this but I don't remember much from it, think I might try to binge it when I get some time

Just kinda out-of-place for a kids' action show. It'd be like Spyke calling him a cracker.

I did. It was very good. It had some cringe episodes but then again it had episodes that could be their own movies if they were expanded. Like that one episode where Mystique drops Cyclops in the middle of a dessert in mexico and he doesn't have his glasses.

>fucking Light Yagami is Nightcrawler

Attached: giphy (2).gif (399x224, 2.08M)

Not really. Gringo doesn't have anywhere near that kind of weight.

Evo Kurt was anime as fuck. Probably why so many girls watching the show had a crush on him. Well, that and the accent.

As a kid I watched it but wasn't as fond of it compare to the previous X-Men cartoon. I wasn't interested in the high school slice of life stuff and thought that most of the characters looked way too adult to be teens.

>IAMGAY is Kurt
Also L was Gambit

Attached: 28_hexfactor_033.jpg (320x240, 13K)

>the girl that found out about Kurt's true appearance
>"blue is my favorite color"

Attached: D73bKX3UYAA_zV6.jpg (749x840, 59K)

>sees his holograph watch malfunction
>he turns into a fuzzy blue demon dude in weird spandex
>immediate reaction is "omg i have to do him"
Would Kurt be fool enough to stick his dick in crazy?

He should get advice from Toad, who spent like an entire season desperately trying to stick his dick in crazy

Scott, Jean, and Rogue were in their late teens, so it made sense that they looked a little older. Most of Magneto's brotherhood were college-aged young adults (Gambit, Colossus, Pyro).

A large portion of the English Death Note cast was in X-Men Evolution.
>Mikami is Cyclops
>Aizawa is Pyro
>Gelis is Blob
>Raye Penber is Colossus
The list goes on and on.

>Toad only takes one shower a year or some shit

Attached: 1558765026803.jpg (640x480, 40K)

Both did their voice work in Canada, so it's not surprising.

Toad was his own brand of crazy, though.

Not surprising at all, but it's still funny that one day you could be a psychotic, murderous high school student and the next you could be a German good-hearted, blue demon.

>gross little shit gets the first (and I probably only) on-screen kiss of the series
>not Scott
>not Kurt
>not even Gambit
>motherfucking Toad
You get some my froggy dude

Attached: 37_toadwitch_081.jpg (600x450, 47K)

I feel like it's my generations' go-to for fap material. Literally nothing but top-tier girls. Even that one time they gender-bent Nightcrawler.

Which of the non-adult Evo characters will be the first to lose their virginity?

Attached: 1559534268254.gif (500x418, 957K)

It was mentioned on the show he showers once a month and even then somebody always disturbs him.

Honestly it wouldn't be that bad if he was changing his clothes. Once I didn't bath or change my underwear for three weeks and only on 4th week I couldn't stand my own stench and it was only if I removed my pants. Nobody in my school even noticed I wasn't showering.

What the fuck is up with SW's hair? When did she ever look like that?

Well Toad was the first to get to first base, so I'm gonna say he's gonna get to home plate before anyone else

She looked like that when she first showed up, but she cut her hair in the same episode.

I'm disappointed they didn't use the "anne frank" Kitty design

Attached: Early_Drawing-_Kitty_II.png (200x457, 107K)

If Toad cleaned himself up a bit, I think even Wanda would go for it. The guy has a weird amount of confidence and that goes a long way.

Him vs Juggernaut was kino as fuck.
>"You like it raw?"
>removes glasses
>"Then take it, RAW!"

Jubilee was also weirdly unrecognizable.

And after his first appearance, Juggernaut was just some thug who went around wrecking shit (like a dam) for no discernible reason whatsoever.

ugh, I am not. Her prototype looks like it belongs to the 30s or something.

Implying that tart Boom-Boom didn't already scissor with Magma

I love Wolverine design in this

>Jubilee was also weirdly unrecognizable.
Most of the younger class got the shit end of the stick. Their only purpose was to make the Xavier Institute seem a little bit more populated but it was disappointing that Iceman, Boom Boom and Magma were pretty much the only ones that became actual characters. Everyone else basically remained a glorified extra for the entire run of the series. Sunspot and Wolfsbane only spoke in one episode.

She looks like a pure celibate girl.
Final Kitty looks like a slut.

IIRC Iceman showed up with the team but he still never spoke or did anything in the final seasons

Oh, I can assume that's true, but I think Scott just wanted to make her suffer. She kidnapped his father figure and stole him away, and he wanted to be an asshole about it. It's great when he does it, and it's also great when she comes back for revenge and we get an entire episode of Scott alone in Mexico as a blind man.

No, final Kitty doesn't look like a slut. She doesn't even use a makeup (although it's a cartoon so maybe she does, who knows, but compared to Rogue looks like she doesn't) and her casual clothing in the early episodes look anything but whorish. She looks just regular.

Dude basically got promoted to the main team. Granted he didn't get the same focus as the other people on the team and he was still technically part of the second class, but a few episodes just have him hanging out with the regular cast like it's no big deal.

Yes

In American schools it could be either.

Made me see the light in the form of sexy midriffs so yea

It's got some 10/10 porn.
The series was fine though ended on one hell of a cliffhanger.

yes

Attached: 1328673748988.jpg (450x600, 86K)

Soichiro Yagami was Mr. Sinister from the 90s X-Men cartoon.

>Making Logan an adult while the rest of them were teens was such a fantastic decision. Not only does Logan work really well as an older mentor figure, it meant there was no chance whatsoever of the fucking Scott/Logan/Jean love triangle showing up.

No chance in a cartoon. The Ultimate X-Men comic did it, though.

I crushed hard on Kitty.

Also remember really liking the show, but ofc being in Sweden they dubbed like only 2 seasons so RIP

Attached: 39b74a8579427e4d9097c40c0c1bffb8.jpg (640x480, 33K)

I've always hated the whole "lets turn the well known characters into children/teens" trope so after loving X:TAS so much I was heavily biased against it, and IMO, It never did anything good enough to disprove my bias. Peter Parker is better as a Post-Grad than a HS kid too.

I like the Game better *WINK*

The designs were very 2000s 2005s but I preferred the designs and direction of the 90s show. Less cargo pants, less edge sticks and more Adonis bodies for the males and females, as well as see through muscles from the skin-tight suits.

However I did enjoy the animation and choreography far far more. Unfortunately everyone was very underpowered and the plots were very boring. Felt like watching an inferior Spectacular Spiderman.

Kitty was the Jubilee tie-in and honestly they both were background character tier in both shows. Except Kitty's power is actually useful and she gets featured a lot more often in the show.
Mistique was a hell lot more cunning in Evolutions.
Rogue was pathetic, nothing but a leech who just hangs out and does nothing, hence very underpowered.
Storm also felt very underpowered. A lot of other characters jobbed a lot.

In the 90s show they deal with eldritch abominations, aliens, apocalypse, Sinestro, Cable, Magneto, Xavier's brother on a daily basis and even as villains of the week.

>Spectacular Spiderman.
Spectacular had the same problem come to think of it.
Lots of character development and lots of good choreography, but absolutely terrible plots, drama, locations, etc. they treated it like a character-driven slice of life first and a story-driven super hero action show second.

In Evolutions Apocalypse is the final boss, but he's this egyptian faggot who got helped by bald-ass Mesmero to unlock bullshit, but he never had an army, never had a lot of influence, Mesmero was far less than Sinestro. In the X-men they even added secondary characters like the amazons and the He-Man/Tarzan-tier guy when they fought Sinestro.
In Evolutions the sentinels are boss-tier enemies, while in the 90s they were normal enemies which were taken down like flies.

Overall it once again seems like we have another two shows where they both greatly lack in what the other one has.

Jesus christ

Attached: Screenshot_2019-06-10-09-44-21.png (960x540, 180K)

Batman, Superman, and many other shows didn't have this problem where it feels like an entire half is missing. They had both character-driven and story-driven plots and action.

>Sinestro
Kek

Attached: 1558494755736.jpg (1173x1600, 257K)

I was actually surprised that Evolution didn't take the chance to pull a "IT WAS ME, SCOTT. IT WAS ME ALL ALONG." story with Sinister

How tight is Kitty's pussy?

I wonder how overpowered he would have been in Evolutions... I know this asshole can regenerate faster than Wolverine and only Scott's lasers can stop his regeneration.

>they treated it like a character-driven slice of life first and a story-driven super hero action show second.
That's how Spider-Man should be.

I want to rape Kitty so bad!

>he doesn't know

Attached: rbzpo.jpg (1131x707, 52K)

dat scott x rogue

Know what?

Well, let's just hope your nose hits the wall first.

I would keep her from using her powers before raping her.

Tell me more about Evolution Scott. Why he's so good? I will certainly watch the show, meanwhile, i wanted more info. Generally he's a character that does not work easily in comic books.

How?

Power inhibiting collar.

Where are you even going to get that? You're not just going to buy one of those on Ebay, put on your best raping shoes and go to town on her. Just try talking to girls instead of attacking them, user. You'll spend less time in prison that way.

The Intro was pretty dope.
youtube.com/watch?v=6faj24XtmP8

I remember that confusing the hell out of me as a kid, since KidsWB promoted them so heavily.

He was going to be in the comic tie-in, but it was cancelled.

Attached: 01c86b820d84bb92481dbdf17de16de2.jpg (408x613, 35K)

That design screams early 00's edge
And also Devimon

Gave me this. So it's based

Attached: X-23_XME.jpg (428x481, 39K)

I didn't see it when I was a kid. I'm watching it slowly in the last months. I fell in love with it right away. Maybe because it reminds me of my childhood. The babes are damn cute too.

Attached: wildside.webm (640x354, 2.92M)

It was sure weird that the big triangle was Jean-Rogue-Scott instead of Logan-Jean-Scott. But once I got used to that, it made for a nice change of pace.

choose Yea Forums?

Attached: X.jpg (1564x720, 478K)

Attached: Sentinel.webm (640x480, 2.4M)

I had forgotten about this. Was it a Twin Peaks reference to Laura and Donna dancing together on a tape?

>No
Goth Wanda? Bruh

The 90s X-Men cartoon is one of the most overrated Yea Forums things ever.

I never could make up my mind about Boom-Boom. She was either a big-mouth, brassy, virgin who liked to pretend she was so cool and adult, or she was the team slut who ran trains for all of the Brotherhood. No in-between.

>Evo Wanda fucking hates Magneto because he abandoned her as a girl and left her to have an extremely shitty childhood
>Magneto never bothers to try and make it up to her
>instead, he just gets Mastermind to rewrite her memories and replace them with memories of a happy childhood
>he essentially brainwashes her into loving him
>there is no sign by the end of the show that she will ever get her original memories back

Attached: 61c.png (720x480, 365K)

wow this show's clothing looks so early 2000's

I always wondered how the image inducer somehow changed his outfit. Why didn’t he just wear his regular clothes in his fuzzy form?

His tongue game is top notch.

Toad was cute

Scott and Jean in Evolution was terrible. They only started dating because they got exposed as mutants and their previous relationships failed. There was more Scott-Rogue moments before the asspull.

No, they noticed. They just didn't say anything

It was never consistent. Sometimes he did have regular clothes and the inducer just changed him to look human, sometimes he was wearing his x-outfit and the inducer just gave him fake regular clothes. I think it was one of those things that just depended on who was directing the episode.

Jesus Christ dude

It was literally rotoscoped from a Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode

I'm gonna go with Evolution. TAS was my intro to the X-Men and a big part of my childhood so a part of me is always going to love it, but taken for what it is it wasn't very good. WATX felt like it favored fanservice over story, so even though it had a lot of good ideas it didn't bother developing many of them so there's like 4-5 different storylines going through the season and none of them really get the focus they need. Evolution is lacking in a lot of things and deviates pretty heavily from the X-Men mythos but there's a sense that the writers really cared about what they were doing and took the time to flesh out characters and give storylines time to build. TAS and WATX by comparison felt more like the writers were just doing what Marvel wanted them to.

WATX is what happens when you take Evo's production team and force them to make X-Men your way rather than their way, since that's literally what happened. It's all the same people, only this time they were given a ton of mandates instead of just being left to do their own thing.

>In Evolutions Apocalypse is the final boss, but he's this egyptian faggot who got helped by bald-ass Mesmero to unlock bullshit, but he never had an army, never had a lot of influence
And yet Evo Apocalypse got closer to actually accomplishing his goals than pretty much any version of him. The only one who did more was AoA Apocalypse.

dont fool yourself, user. if Yea Forums was around that time, the seething kittyfags would have gone nuclear all over it.

Iceman got promoted to the main team in the third season appeared all the time

she still did 180s and fucked everyone up for selfish reasons out of nowhere.

Seething Kurt/Kittyfags DID go nuclear back then, just not on Yea Forums.

This. Back then it was on deviantart or fanfiction.net

this was the show that got me into comics as a kid. it also made me had a crush rogue to the point of making her my first 2D boner
when does kittyfags don't go nuclear? it is part of their routine

I think this version of Logan is so underrated. Love his voice, personality, look and his relationship with everyone else.
