Find some good writers and have them write for it.

Time warp the X-men back to the mid 80's. Let Claremont plot overall direction, and new characters.

Make each arc of the run a sendoff to a mainstay that overstayed their welcone. Jesus give some of these characters a rest. Start with Cyke and Jean. Move to Professor X. Then go down slowly. Do it properly instead of the meaningless killing they've been doing recently. As for the film, Detach itself from the Avengers MCU and do it's own thing until it can catch up. Bonus points if modern day X-Men are new mutants.

Fuck no.
X-Men are forever living in the past, Claremont original run is iconic but we should all move on from that.

I fucking loathe the "young X-Men" shit they have been pulling. Worthless trash, one of my most hated X-Men ideas. I've picked up some new stuff but none of it was good. Get rid of these time displaced faggots and focus on the real guys.

>Only big run everyone loves post-Claremont is Morrison
>Which has one of the major themes as moving onward from the Claremont era
>Erase as much as possible once he leaves, backtrack, and stay mired in a status quo everyone hates (Decimation)
>Wonder why X-Men won't catch on again

The time displace O5 have been gone for almost a year now

Make Jean black and in a lesbian relationship with Storm. Have Bobby and Beast be in a gay relationship. Kill off Scott and Professor X in the first few minutes so Jean is in charge of the school. Change the team name to X-Women.

I think Hix-men is going to be a good run.

Keep them away from the rest of the Marvel universe.

The only way to do it would involve maximizing the sliding time scale of comic book continuity and place a team as popular and as different from Avengers as possible in the same time period as MCU Peter Parker. So that means the teenage Shadowcat X-men become present day X-men.

Everyone says Claremont this and Claremont that but I can't separate his name from his recent bad influence. Yes his X-men line-up around Kitty Pryde's generation of X-men has the most potential and those story pieces need to be respected but I can't imagine him as a good influence right now.

X-Factor's time period. They were High Schoolers in the 90s. 9-11 and Krakoa rescue line up. 2001-2011 = early Uncanny. 2008-2016 The New Mutants. Fuck, I don't know. I keep thinking we need to put young people in a Peter Parker of the MCU-type setting but I can't figure out if it's New Mutants or Generation X.

Your waifu is shit fag

They should just do what they did in the Ult.Spidey Ult.Xmen cross over. Solves all age issues

Explain.

I am kind of in love with the idea of the Original 5 being grown up and living in the city as adults in X-Factor living in a giant space ship sky scraper. I like Manhattan, I like the idea of yupster X-men living like f*r*i*e*n*d*s looking weird and blue and Scott and Jean possibly having a child taken from them by a techno-organic chronologically threatening super villain. While Portacio's X-Factor has got to be in the top 5 coolest renditions of X ever.

Attached: 1560126685328s (1)_kindlephoto-81969778.jpg (250x167, 16K)

90s Jim Lee X-men and 90s Cartoon X-men are the # 1 coolest X-men by popular demand.
Whilce Portacio's X-Factor comes in at #2because I'm making the list and I would put them at #1 if I want trying to get (you)s in agreement. #3 would be original original 5. #4 would be Claremont's X-Men because Wolverine's and Storm's introduction and because of cultural accumulation that we see in their 90s popularity started building up from there.
#5would be a tie between Kubert's Ultimate X-men (pre-Ultimatum) and when they were hiding out in Australia and the world thought they were all dead and Magneto became a good guy.

Can we come up with five movies starting with original 5 and ending with Riot at Xaviers?

Wipe out mutants in main Marvel continuity with Sentinels. Have said Sentinels then invade other continuities. House of M and Age of Apocalypse comes to mind. The alt continuities join forces to eliminate/imprison the Sentinels, devastating their own continuities but saving a fledgling continuity, Universe M, where mutants are just beginning to emerge. To boost adoption of Universe M, the comics continuity will be linked to future video games and cartoons. Progression will be mandatory with the expectation that old characters will be retired in favor of new characters so that new merchandise can be marketed.

I'd like to see a movie where mutants need to escape a Doctor Doom labor camp. That may be too hardcore for Disney unfortunately.

Sounds good but I can't understand it at all.

As for the comics, literally permanently lynch half of them for good.
Just fucking do it. Give some real stakes for the oppressed minority allegory.

boundingintocomics.com/2019/06/08/report-x-men-the-animated-series-creators-plan-to-pitch-disney-to-continue-series/

I was going to post that too.
>With such '90s programs as Northern Exposure and All That getting revivals, X-Men: The Animated Series might also be returning, provided an upcoming pitch gets greenlit.

>According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series' creative team is aiming to approach Disney, which now holds the rights to the characters, about a continuation of the series. "The one thing we'd like to do more than anything else is to continue where we left off," series producer and director Larry Houston said. That outlet reports the series' aesthetic might change in the revival. Details about what considerations Disney would have to take in reviving the property were not mentioned. It was not made clear when the team would approach the studio.

>Have Bobby and Beast be in a gay relationship
Eat shit, fucker.
Beast, Nightcrawler, and Wolverine are in a polygamous relationship, but Sniktbub is just kinda the third wheel to Hank and Kurt, and just serves as an occasional powerbottom.

MORE shirtless Summers brothers and more Jean Grey

You don’t revive it. Its time has passed. Time to move on to other things in life.

Hot. Very hot

Are we posting athletic X-Men now?
Because I don't even need an excuse desu.

Attached: 1558851255252.png (840x1164, 1.02M)

Jesus, are they using steroids?

Ngl Kurt has some poor form in this, but dem thighs hnng

Attached: 1558844908731.jpg (559x662, 233K)

I thought Nightcrawler was smooth like Mewtwo

Canonically he has a velvet-like coat of fur all over his body. Some artists (like Cockrum) depict him as smooth because of style, and some people really play up the fur angle because they are repressed furries.
So the second image is more accurate.

To fix the comics? DO NOT USE:
>Phoenix Force
>Apocalypse
>Another concentration camp story
DON'T DO ANY OF THE ABOVE! Actually use your wide cast! For god's sakes, come up with new ideas and stop referencing the same few ones over and over!

Well, aren't you a dour fuck.

I begrudgingly agree with him. The X-Men need to die. That's the only way we can stop hack writers rehashing the same ideas for three decades now.

>Actually use your wide cast!
You mean something like if Apoc got the Phoenix Force?

Bring back this shit for season 2. It was everything an X-men show should have been and no one cared. God, why is this world so cruel?

Attached: wolverine-and-the-x-men.jpg (1440x750, 183K)

>everything an X-men show should have
Nightcrawler was shit ~~desu

mutants in military groups in something similar to many common ideas of a post-apocalyptic situation that wear body armor costumes and sometimes use conventional weapons in addition to superpowers

y'mean THE shit-desu

I mean, he is automatically the best character in any adaptation, but he wasn't CUTE enough.

stop try to make them an allegory for EVERY minority. it doesn't work. especially when the x-men themselves are almost all rich and beautiful

BUT WE HAVEN'T MADE AN OPPRESSED TRANNY X-MAN YET.
Oh, sorry x-person.

things kind of like ender's game where there are kids at military training where the main focus is to learn military skills could occur instead of them getting a normal education like at the xavier school.

something kind of like the logan movie group of kids, maze runner, and the hunger games with a group of school kids getting stuck behind enemy lines or attacked by an invading force somehow while on a wilderness trip somewhere

X-roids

Or maybe just find decent writers that actually want to work on the characters and tell different stories with them? I don't know why everything has to be so fatalistic with you people.

Solo Wolverine comic

Here's an idea; we stop playing the race card, and stop having apocalyptic futures. Maybe it's time the Marvel universe stop trying to solve the mutant problem, and work with it. I'm not saying we completely remove prejudice but come the fuck on. Let's make a real super hero society for once. Maybe mutants getting jobs that compliment their powers

>How do we revive the X-Men? Both as a film series and the comics.

Testosterone has to be above 950 to work on X-MEN

Scott and Warren OTP

Film:
Take the Avengers approach in a distinct universe detached from the MCU. Each member gets their origin story and build-up before joining Xavier. For example, Havok and Cyclops have a movie together that establishes their struggles and growth. At the end, Havok sides with Magneto, Cyke joins Xavier. Jean, Angel, Beast, and Wolverine finish out "Phase One", culminating in an Avengers style capstone with permanent death for both X-Men and Brotherhood mutants. Phase two brings in new blood and explores how deaths impact surviving X-men.

Comics: Move forward and stop assassinating characters. They can still die, but stop pissing on what they stood for. Xavier, Magneto, Cyke, Jean, Bobby, Beast, Angel, Storm, they all had good runs and should ride off into the sunset. Don't try and copy them with legacy characters, just let them have some conclusion and go into retirement. You have like 10 million "new" mutants. Deal with them before you start adding any more to a roster. Also, update the conflict format. Have shades of grey in terms of how well mutants are received by society. Some places embrace them as gods, others tolerate them as equals, other places have suffered from mutant terrorism and have legitimate qualms, and some are mutant hating extremists.

Additionally, make some new antagonists who provide strong ideological differences from the newer gens of X-men. We've had Sentinels forever. Let's see rage driven Mutant Terrorist groups, J. Jonah Jameson-esque smear campaigners, shadow government cabals aimed at exterminating mutants, something menacing and new for the team to fight or overcome.

source?

absolumterror

That's not easy though and Marvel isn't motivated enough to find the right writer just from looking at the X-Men sales. They keep flodding the market with shitty X-Men books.

Kurt was incredible, go fuck yourself. His fight with Spiral was great.

>being in denial
user there are so many better Kurts

Original 5 line up

give them the teen titans treatment

Archangel = Cyborg
Beast = Beast boy
Robin = Cyclops
Raven = Jean Phoenix
Starfire = Iceman.

I knows you think you're being clever, but you need to go back to pol and never come out.

One, that's a terrible idea. Two, you can't even get the matches right.

Cyclops = Robin
Beast = Cyborg
Iceman = Beast Boy
Jean = Starfire
Angel = Raven

Now feel shame.

bump

>No Jean Grey
That one needs to stay dead
There are better x-wives

>The comics have been shit for over a decade now.
*ALMOST a decade, fixed for you

Oh hey Sana, trying to do the most damage possible before your bitch ass gets fired?

For a movie, just kinda throw them in and handwave an ass explanation the audience at large won’t really care
Make it center around the original 5 and maybe throw some others in there if you want
Have the bad guy be magneto leading a brotherhood of mutants
But it’s imperative that you don’t ever do dark Phoenix.Just fuckin don’t.

In the MCU: suggest mutants are beginning to emerge as an 'allergic' reaction to half of humanity disappearing.

However some of them either retired or died

>but I can't separate his name from his recent bad influence.
Shoulda done what I did [ignored it].

>Make it center around the original 5

The worst meme. There's a reason that every 05 book sucks

Never should have died to begin with. Fucken Shooter.

I want the later generations to actually matter, not necessarily running the main uncanny book but the only characters not from pre-1990 that actually gets to do stuff regularly are Magik and Bishop.

God I HATE the revisionist history the MCU has done.
>People now claim they never liked the original Spider-Man trilogy
>People now claim they never liked the original X-Men

Shooter was right

Magik is pre-1990

I will always love the whole Raimi trilogy.

t. Emma Frost

You think that's because of the MCU huh

No new films.
No new comics.
Cancel ALL X-Titles permanently.
Reprint some TPBs periodically so as not to lose the license.
The X-Men are dead and done. Nobody here likes them anymore. It's time to let the franchise die.

t. Fart sniffing inhuman

Anything but that thanks.
