i've seen some manga artis that use pics as backgrounds but they actually know the rules of composition and they don't just put a fucking filter on it, they redraw a bunch of part and adjust the black and white levels so it blends well with the drawing

When the show came out with the new designs, some people showed discomfort because it was different from the pilot, which is alright for an opinion, I like the pilot designs too.

Here's the thing: Rad and Enid are described as Late Teenagers, which means 18-19, when Enid's new design came out, there was a small portion in Tumblr that started criticizing it for being "too sexualized for a minor" even tho she isn't, and started accusing Ian JQ of being a pedophile for drawing teen characters with big hips, their excuse was "that he didn't do different body designs for woman" which was debunked by the fandom pretty quickly, but they kept whining.

Ian and Rebecca in general have had a pretty bad time in Tumblr which is why they don't use it anymore, seeing all this shit go down was both depressing and hilarious.
