>How does this work?

>It works like a community toy chest. In the /coc/ threads you are free to post whatever ideas/settings/characters you want, but you have to be OK with other people playing with them (tweaking them, putting them in stories, using them for things, etc.)
>There's no guarantee that what you post will catch on either.

>If the OC you are posting is YOURS for something you are personally doing, then it would go to the "How is your webcomic?" threads.
>If you just want feedback on an OC of yours, then it would go in the "donut steel" threads or drawthreads.

If the thread dies suddenly or you still want to discuss something during the weekdays:

Last time:

-New pics
-Some discussion about various scripts

Not much else really stands out...

Since she hasnt been discussed in a while, i got a few questions about Stretcherous:

>How old is she when her mainline story starts?

>Does she ever best Ma'am Aries or is it a recurring thing that she can never beat her?

>How do her and her sister Blackstrap differentiate in terms of their powers, since they are both elastic. All i know is that they are still human so they aren't on the level of say Plastic Man

Really like the idea of a rivalry between these two. Also similar since both had older sisters they looked up to but lost

Attached: 1416992709410.jpg (1250x1712, 519K)

During her own story I'd say late teens since she founds a group called the "Mean Teens".

She might only have met Ma'm the one time, no one has really expanded on it from there.

I know how they use their powers was discussed. If I remember this right, Blackstrap had a preference of enlarging parts of her body to fight like classic Elasti-Girl from Doom Patrol.
Whereas Stretch was more about the rubber-band antics.

So say 16 to 17 sounds right. Figured at most she would be 18 but that works.

Thought it be a recurring one sided rivalry with Ma'am but guess one time is enough.

The sister Haley using her powers to look more fighting while the little sister tends to be more traditional but mess around more, got it.

18 is also within the realm of late teens.

Stretch always struck me as the type who never actually wins most of her fights unless she has backup or someone to keep her focused.

That's probably because she lacks the ferocity and vindication that her older sister possesses, since she isn't sure the villain lifestyle is for her. I bet she just tries to wrap around her enemy and hope that's enough to win.

She should have some combo attacks with her team, like being the rubber-band in a giant slingshot.

Not sure anyone on the Mean Teens would make for a good fastball. Now I imagined that when her and Colette try it, she slips on the wind up and faceplants the ground hard.

Melting Point makes the slingshot with her magma, Stretch is the rubber-band, Bull-E is the muscles to pull the shot back.

That leaves Shade. Yeah, not good fastball material.

Forgot about Bull-E and figured Melting Point herself would be too hot, but making a magma rock makes sense. Good idea!

Melting Point also has cool beam eyes, so it's not like she can't rapidly cool things off.

Thought this was pretty cool but did Laura get her own?

Not that I know of.

I think we need to reduce the number of stats used. That's probably why only a handful were made.

GG Comic

It amazes me that someone actually drew one of the scripts.

What also amazes me is that the Let's Make a Comic! guy has done this 10 times now

And it’s good.

Yeah, it came out good. I tend to write my scripts with the original Sunday-strip format in mind, but this one transitioned to the page format very well.

Azul drew it, but I'm not familiar with their work.

Funny thoughts I just had.

Bees Knees spins on his head like a top shooting his knee stingers in every direction while gaining more and more speed with each shot.

Appladay fires his flaming apples into the mouth of some bad guy until their mouth is comically filled with them like in a cartoon.

Not actually a drawthread.

Another slow weekend thread.

I wonder, did the Stretch user ever read the story written about her when she worked with Bombastic?

When I wrote some GG's strips I also visualized them as Sunday comics, but I feel like that somehow doesn't carry over to anyone reading the scripts.

I've gone through and read a fair amount of them as sunday strips.
Probably relies on the artists ability to reproduce that format as well.

But would someone who isn't in on all the discussion that goes into and happens around those scripts realize the intention for them to be seen in a Sunday funnies format?

And here's hoping the thread lasts the full weekend.

I don't think it's immediately obvious, no. Maybe we should have added a note to the pastebin before now.

It was good, wish it had a pastebin or something.

Someone asked for the GG Asset pack in a previous thread
mediafire.com/file/c36zbfwmjt3tf4h/GGAP_6-2019.7z/file

dude, i been looking for this for years! thank you!

GG?

You think so? I guess it might not be obvious if someone who sees the pastebin hasn't looked at any of the comics.

As weird as that sounds, it could happen.

That's actually in
pastebin.com/gAKtFuJV

Maybe I should get back to that story once Yea Forumsle is done being edited.

Awesome, thanks for the pastebin. Any issues you are eyeing for trying next?

It would probably be a good idea. There's enough gg comics that don't follow the funnies format that they might not realize they were written with that in mind even if they had seen a bunch of them.

Is there a good place to go read all the GG comics?
The Booru Doesn't seem like it has as much as I would have expected

If I get back to the Aqua plotline, it'll be Bombastic VS the AC(oSF) when they mistake him for one of the Bomb-Squad that CEO Slick partially cloned from him.

I'll add a note to the top of the GG pastebin later today then.

There's a link at the top of the GG pastebin to this plus4chan thread
boards.plus4chan.org/coc/t417561.html
I made for all the GG comics that are not porn.

Ooo
There a lot on this plus4 thread i haven't seen before.
Thanks

I assume the GG booru is just not well tagged if that's the case.

Well bump.

I've yet to come up with a satisfying story idea with this guy since his whole gimmick is "hero killer".

Attached: 1431915907897.png (768x1024, 162K)

Maybe there was another Mean Teen who could make written words take on the attributes of the things they describe.

I can't really remember.

Attached: 1399652999992.png (600x800, 27K)

I think that was pitched as a standalone character, not part of the Mean Teens.

>Mia, the inner-city graffiti artist who realizes her magic powers of using drawn glyphs and runes to cast spells...Uses onomatopoeia, props and kick-me signs rather than ancient and arcane magics.

Got mixed around with a hero idea for a character with magic paint seen here.
Or maybe the same character? Hmm.

Attached: 1418191330486.png (954x1398, 710K)

I should probably just add Mia to the misc. characters page then to stop from getting these two confused already.

Is Mia really all she goes by though? I haven't been able to dig up any costume name yet for her.

I think they both spun off from the same pitch.

Yeah, Holi is the one with magic paint, Mia is the one with magic glyphs.
Neither really went anywhere.

I was going through the folder I have for the Mean Teens and saw I put that pic of Mia in there for some reason, but I don't remember why.
