He disappointed the Red Skull.
If you don't want to be confused for the Masked Homo, probably should dres in purple with a giant pink "H" on your chest.
The KKK is one of the closest things we have to comic book characters in real life. Also they clearly had some influence on Batman (inb4 "no, THIS is what influenced Batman," as though there could only possibly be one influence).
Birth of a Nation shows the KKK being conceived of when one of them witnesses how a white child is able to get rid of a black child by dressing up as a ghost and taking advantage of their primitive superstitious nature (pretty dead on with Batman's "criminals are a cowardly and superstitious lot" idea and his whole agenda of dressing up as a bat to scare them). And visually the whole dark knight thing is similar to the Birth of a Nation Klansman on a horse imagery.
You're letting Kirby down, user.
Go to bed Alan.
>Stop! I'm a citizen same as you!
Oh my how times have changed...
Did no one look at this picture and say that looks evil as fuck? I know KKK ain't all that bad, they even do charity drives to name a few.But you think some of them would question the whole cross burning thing and almost pagan look they give off.

Lol what complete horseshit. The Shadow literally dressed as a dark knight avenger and preyed on criminals' superstitions and cowardice and the first Batman story is literally a re-write of a Shadow novel.

That's the point. They intentionally wanted to appear like frightening supernatural entities. It's very much similar to Batman's M.O. They wouldn't see themselves as evil any more than Batman would see himself as evil.
